Hideaway Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Took our daughter for birthday lunch.
$12 for Scotch and soda, wow.
Fish and Chips, Spinach salad and Shrimp scampi over fettuccine were all very good
Wait person didn't tell us about soup of the day, which we found out later as he was explaining the soup to another table. We just didn't mesh with the server. Have had much better interaction with other servers in past visits.
Lemon mousse was good
Went Hideaway on Saturday again to treat my husband a special dinner before he deploys in a few days. My husband had the Chilean sea bass. He loved it said it was so good man might be even better than the Halibut he had on Thanksgiving Day, which he couldn’t stop raving about it for two weeks. This place has something nice to it. We have been back for four times in less than two months.
The food was absolutely awful. We got a filet and a NY strip. The steaks were not even good cuts of beef. The sides were extremely overpriced and also disgusting. Please please don’t waste your money here. I’m so disappointed. It completely ruined our night.
New Year’s Eve last night it was busy night with a lot of people dined there at the Hideaway. Never disappointed the food has always been deliciously prepared and the service was equally good. We had a great dinner and time. We were here on Thanksgiving. That night was beyond awesome. Love the fact the Hideaway opens on holidays. As said if the money is not object the quality of the food and experience are worth the visit.
We went here for New Years Eve. Although reservations were limited, we learned when we arrived that the bar had open seating. We were a bit early, so we decided to find a table in the bar and get a drink, but ended up staying and dining in the bar.
Adrian was our server, and he is great. He was the only one tending the tables in the bar and was so busy that night, but we never felt neglected or had to ask for anything. He must have had 10 tables at any given time.
We dined off the special menu. My husband had the surf & turf - a filet and lobster, which he shared and we both enjoyed them. I had the new York wagyu and although it was good, it didn't have the typical wagyu extraordinary flavor. Everything else was excellent - vegetables, dessert, and the appetizer n'awlins shrimp was super! Before tip, our dinner was close to $300. It was good, but I'm not convinced it was that good.
Excellent food. Chef inspired. A bit stuffy (much 'older' crowd') Drinks are delicious! I would recommend sitting in the bar for a less 'stuffy' feeling. This is def. special occasion kind of place. A nice option away from the city, tucked away on the North side of town. WORTH a visit!
Our waiter Chris was absolutely incredible! Not only did he have every answer to our questions but he was quick, friendly, witty, and enhanced our dining experience. Even when he was clearly busy he took the time to make sure we had everything we needed and to chat with us a little. Overall phenomenal atmosphere and will gladly go again.
We have eaten many times at the Hideaway Steakhouse and are usually very pleased with the service, location, quality of food and ambiance. However, this time we went on Christmas Eve, and our experience was mediocre. We had reservations(made about two weeks in advance) but were seated 15-20 minutes after our scheduled time. A minor annoyance. After ordering, the soup and salad came in a timely manner but after that we waited over an hour for our main entrees. We received no explanation or attention from our waiter about the wait for our food. We attributed the long wait for our food to how busy they were. I had ordered a glass of wine which never came with my meal. We ordered our steaks and prime rib medium well. They were overdone. We expect better from a restaurant that appears to want to compete with premium steak houses (at least we gather that from their menu and prices). We will continue to dine there on occasion but may avoid this restaurant on holidays. In all fairness, we chalk up our experience to how busy they were.
My wife and I enjoy this restaurant. The waiter we had doesn't listen to his customers very well. He did NOT however, ruin our experience. The food was great but was cooler than it should have been upon delivery. We will be back for sure. The owner stopped by our table and checked on us which is a nice personal touch.
It was our first time here and we were celebrating a birthday. It took more than an hour to get our food and 20 minutes to get a refil on our drinks. We seen the water boy more that night. Didn't think it took that long to cook lobster and steak. We won't be going again.
I have no idea how this restaurant got four green circles on Trip Advisor. I went there with my daughter and some good friends before a concert at the First Bank Center. My daughter had to send her Filet Mignon re-fired, as it was under cooked(asked for Medium Rare). My Prime Rib had absolutely no flavoring whatsoever, not even the edge with the crust. It came out stone cold. (asked for medium rare) My friend had asked for his potato with no chives. Chives came out on the baked potato. The Caesar salad had a lot to be desired, with the Romaine lettuce tasted weird. My Potato Au Gratin had a layer of scrambled egg in it and WAY overcooked. No melted cheese layer whatsoever. My good friend summed it up best when he said, "there's a reason its Hidden". I would have to agree with his assessment. Their service is extremely attentive, which is the only plus I could give this restaurant. For what we received, and then paid for, I feel like Texas Roadhouse would have been a better choice.
Glad the Hideaway Steakhouse opened for Thanksgiving. Also awesome for the restaurant to serve both traditional Thanksgiving dinner and regular dinner from selected menu. My husband and I both ordered grilled Halibut with capers and lemon butter sauce. The dish was extremely delicious and the temperature of the food served was perfect. My husband could stop talking about how delicious and perfect the Halibut dish was and declared the dish was the best Halibut dinner he ever had bar none. He has been talking about the Halibut we had over the Thanksgiving there since the night we dined there.
Have to say if the money is not an object, the quality of the food, service and atmosphere at the Hideaway Steakhouse worth what you pay for. This restaurant is truly a hidden jewel in Westminster and northern Denver metro area as its name says - Hideaway in a peaceful sanctuary.
Three of us went for Thanksgiving dinner. $60 for a Turkey dinner was very expensive. The food was okay but we were freezing in there. We asked 4 times once to the manager and he said he already turned it up twice. No apology. Our food got cold really fast.
We use to love this place but will think twice about going back.
Thank you for an exceptional Thanksgiving dinner. Congrats on the turkey! Don't think I have ever eaten one this moist and flavorful. Everyone raved about the salad as the perfect flavor profile to accompany a turkey dinner. Best pumpkin pie I have ever tasted - the texture was perfection. Our server was a delight.
My 87 year Dad was in town and wanted to take us to a nice place for my husband's 70th birthday. I was looking for something nice where we could "talk" and not have a lot of noise from the other tables. Hideaway Steakhouse was just that. We had a super dinner, waitress was top notch, and owner kept stopping by. The food was fantastic! I would certainly recommend and go there again.
Service was very good and the restaurant is nice and quiet but I was very disappointed in the food. My steak was undercooked which I could have loved with but the cut of meat was not good for the price. I ordered ribeye and just left unimpressed and will not be back.
