We have been talking about dining at this restaurant for over a year. We finally made it and were happy we did. Food was excellent and athough our server seemed a little overwhelmed was very good. The GM came over and introduced himself right away knowing it was our first time and thanked us for joining them. He also checked back in on us later in time there.
We just found a great new place to frequent without having to drive all the way downtown!
The beef tournedos and bone-in ribeye were very good. The waiter,Chris. was accommodating and gave a free dessert to my daughter for her birthday. Excellent steak house uo north.
This restaurant made us wait half an hour past our reservation and the food was VERY bland. The ambiance was terrible way too loud.
The birthday lunch for my friend was a lovely time. Our salads were delicious and a generous portion, but not overly large. The Chocolate pate dessert was a real treat. Our server, Hart, was very knowledgeable and explained how the dessert was made and how to eat it to get the best of the flavors. Overall we had a great lunch experience and definitely will return.
They exceeded my expectations! Everything was perfect - food, service, etc. Everyone was very polite, courteous, friendly, etc. Highly recommend.
Let me just start by saying that the service and the food are exceptional. The General Manager was always visible and always wanted to know how patrons were doing and that they were enjoying their food and dining experience. Our waitress was new, but really worked hard to answer all our questions and went and found the answer if she did not know right off hand. The food was beautifully presented and excellent. The portions were generous for the quality. The decor is modern and well appointed. Overall, my husband and I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning. You won't be disappointed.
A Father's Day to remember! This is an elegant restaurant that aims to offer high quality! Meaning food, service, ambiance this place has it all. We will keep this on our favorites list.
We've never had bad service or even slightly subpar food. We come from Frederick and like to dine out at new places fairly often. Our location requires a bit of a drive for us but that leaves us soooo many options (Ft Collins, Boulder, Denver) and yet more times than not, when we want to go out to eat somewhere nice we end up at the Hideaway. It's becoming our favorite place. Can't wait to try the patio sometime.
Went for Father's Day and had the 18 oz strip. Excellent food. Our server was Chris. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions to compliment the flavor of the steak. Excellent all around.
We had a great meal and fantastic service then got home and found our reservation had been canceled. Sorry we didn't know that and they adjusted very well and didn't turn us away. Howard loved the way the did the wine flights. They gave us a free desert for his birthday.
Excellent food and service!! I'm always a little afraid of ordering seafood in Colorado, but took a chance and ordered the halibut... Best I've ever had!
Service was awesome. It was our first time dining there. Manager came by,brought us a treat. Made sure everything was great.
Waitress was very pleasant. Very nice place to go.
The steaks were good but the ribs were overcooked.
The desserts were exceptional!
The waiter that we had did not offer or present 50% of the offerings that we heard from the waiter across the room. Seemed that we were treated as 2nd class citizens. We are all educated professionals and were appropriately dressed, etc. Not sure if it was because of who we were or if he was just a bad waiter.
The service was so friendly people were great, but the food for the price just can't say it is worth it which is really sad because service again was WONDERFUL... I am not sying the food was terrible just not worth the what they charge. Sorry being honest.
Great Decor and Layout. Waiter forgot to serve us bread. Caesar Salad was a delight and dressing was superb. Steaks swere good but nothing to write home about. Similar to a nice hotel steak at the Omni, Westin or Renaissance in the area. The Au Gratin potatoes flat and overcooked. Ambience will bring us back and better service on the finer points will be what we hope for. Think the kitchen need to step it up in order to drive the price point the restaurant is looking for. Anyone can serve a good steak, but a great steak with perfectly executed sides will make this restaurant a gem in my mind.
This is the 3rd time I have entertained customers at your restaurant. Every time the experience was fantastic. Fantastic food, great ambience, booths are private (good for meaningful conversation, service is superior. This restaurant is truely a gem for the North area diners.
I've brought business clients for dinner on two occasions. Both were mid-week and each time the staff and food was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly, comfortable and professional. We 're stayed past closing were never pressured by the staff. It meant a lot to myself and the clients.
The food was superior. Nice place for a special occasion.
We had a party of 9 one night and a party of 8 the second night. Service & food both very good. Definitely would go back for personal as well as business.
It was a joy to eat in a beautiful quiet restaurant, the food was perfect, it was dining not feeding. Has a nice bar and patio area. Have also been to lunch at Hideaway with a large group and it was also a great experience.
We will be returning
I had no idea this restaurant was in my area! Great food! Service was on point. Relaxed atmosphere and impressive views. We will be back!
Enjoyed our anniversary! Thank you
When I found Hideaway steakhouse on yelp I was a bit skeptical but thought I'd give it a try because of all the great reviews and their website page. Our initial thought was to have dinner on the patio but due to windy weather we opted into inside seating.The. Booths look cozy and romantic and their tables are set apart with enough room for privacy. Once we were seated by our waiter who was so authentic and easy going that we felt very comfortable asking questions and interacting with him. The menu was well organized and gave great descriptions. The thing that really stood out during the meal is the space that the waiter gave us yet he was readily available if we needed anything.the food was delicious and presentation was perfect
Looked this up on Metromix & it was a little disappointing. It was more expensive than metromix lead on however, we had a feeling it would be expensive since there were no prices listed on their menu on their website. The food was ok, the veggie's were drowning in oil almost to the point that you couldn't eat them. There is a nice outdoor patio with a fireplace which I preferred to the inside which was very dark. The service was good & that was really the high point of the whole experience.
Mistakes were made with the food. One of the steaks was cooked med. well instead of med. rare and had to be sent back. Also, mushrooms ordered for the other steak were forgotten and had to be cancelled on the order. The restaurant was not busy at all, so none of these errors should have happened. The other 2 orders were fine.
We have enjoyed the Hideaway for special occasions - anniversaries, graduations, etc. They take great pride in the service they offer and the quality of the entire dining experience.
Good food, well prepared, and price points are reasonable. Drinks prepared as requested and timely service.
Service was terrific, with a good wine suggestion and a great dessert! French Onion soup and Wedge Salad were quite good. Steak, both the Filet and NY Strip were good, but not great. Both were done Oscar style which again was just OK, not great. Order lots of lemon if you get water, because the water was terrible.
This restaurant is a perfect place to have a nice, quiet lunch or dinner with outstanding service. The ambiance is extremely calming and relaxing. The food is delicious and the presentation is very impressive! I would love to go to dinner once a week at this restaurant!
The remodeling job of the restaurant is very nice. However, I was disappointed in the food, especially for the price. I was expecting a higher food quality than I received. Don't get me wrong - it was good, but I could have gotten the same goodness for 1/4 or less the price. For the price I expected a wow explosion in my mouth. I never got that.
We waited for at least 5 minutes or so before our waiter came over after we were seated. We found the waiter to be a bit unprofessional. He seemed unsure on what to ask us and his timing was always off. The food was mediocre. We ordered the crab cakes for appetizers and that was fine. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly however, lacked any flavor and the cooked spinach was very bitter . The music was way too loud and we could not have a conversation. Overpriced for what you get all around. I am sorry to say, we will not be going back.
Having dined at this venue before it became the Hideaway, I was eager to see how that once-atrocious space was turned into a steakhouse. I was stunned by the transformation. It was as if the remodel incorporated the best of the interiors from Denver's fine steakhouses. The room was quite comfortable and, thanks to the booths, nicely separated -- unlike some spots where diners must sit at side-by-side tables, The bar looked like a place I should return. The menu was ample and the food quite good, except the greens with the caprese salad were heavy on dressing. My biggest issue, and the one area that does not rival other Denver steakhouses: The service was inattentive, slow and unfriendly. I'm hoping our server was merely having a bad day.
I've been here twice now, and the food has been outstanding on both occasions. The service was excellent - the waiter was there when we needed him without stopping by too often. Definitely recommend for a special occasion, as it is a bit on the pricey side.
We've been several times.....this is the first time we were disappointed in the food. We both ordered prime rib, one a thinner cut prepared medium, the other a thicker cut prepared med/rare. Med/rare was very tough, hard to cut and even harder to chew. However, it was handled very efficiently and fairly. We will return.
Table service itself was acceptable. When I requested that my under cooked steak be returned to the kitchen for more cooking, it was brought back to my table untouched. The manager came to my table, sat down without invitation, and glared at me. No remedy was offered by the manager. I paid for the meal and left. There is a tangible arrogance at the restaurant.
I will never go back, nor will I recommend this diner.
I love the ambiance of this restaurant! The 10 oz. filet mignon with the brandy peppercorn sauce was fabulous, and as always the ribs were to die for! Always perfect, tender, and falling off the bone. The service we received was exceptional! We go for Happy Hour on a regular basis and love the food and service we receive. Great bar scene with just moderate noise level so can carry on a conversation with others. It truly is a neighborhood gem!
Will not be back. Horrible service
Bit pricey. Compared to a Cap Grill - I would take Cap Grill or even an Outback Steakhouse over Hideaway for value. Nice place though - good bar a and happy hour. But again menu prices are off the charts.
We had a great Time and the Lamb was the best.
Restaurant looks great however the high booths inhibit your view especially when you are trying to find your server. Initially the service upon being seated was great, then drinks were ordered and I became very thirsty waiting for my cocktail. After that much more attentive.
