Hideaway Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
It was our first time here and we were celebrating a birthday. It took more than an hour to get our food and 20 minutes to get a refil on our drinks. We seen the water boy more that night. Didn't think it took that long to cook lobster and steak. We won't be going again.
I have no idea how this restaurant got four green circles on Trip Advisor. I went there with my daughter and some good friends before a concert at the First Bank Center. My daughter had to send her Filet Mignon re-fired, as it was under cooked(asked for Medium Rare). My Prime Rib had absolutely no flavoring whatsoever, not even the edge with the crust. It came out stone cold. (asked for medium rare) My friend had asked for his potato with no chives. Chives came out on the baked potato. The Caesar salad had a lot to be desired, with the Romaine lettuce tasted weird. My Potato Au Gratin had a layer of scrambled egg in it and WAY overcooked. No melted cheese layer whatsoever. My good friend summed it up best when he said, "there's a reason its Hidden". I would have to agree with his assessment. Their service is extremely attentive, which is the only plus I could give this restaurant. For what we received, and then paid for, I feel like Texas Roadhouse would have been a better choice.
Glad the Hideaway Steakhouse opened for Thanksgiving. Also awesome for the restaurant to serve both traditional Thanksgiving dinner and regular dinner from selected menu. My husband and I both ordered grilled Halibut with capers and lemon butter sauce. The dish was extremely delicious and the temperature of the food served was perfect. My husband could stop talking about how delicious and perfect the Halibut dish was and declared the dish was the best Halibut dinner he ever had bar none. He has been talking about the Halibut we had over the Thanksgiving there since the night we dined there.
Have to say if the money is not an object, the quality of the food, service and atmosphere at the Hideaway Steakhouse worth what you pay for. This restaurant is truly a hidden jewel in Westminster and northern Denver metro area as its name says - Hideaway in a peaceful sanctuary.
Three of us went for Thanksgiving dinner. $60 for a Turkey dinner was very expensive. The food was okay but we were freezing in there. We asked 4 times once to the manager and he said he already turned it up twice. No apology. Our food got cold really fast.
We use to love this place but will think twice about going back.
Thank you for an exceptional Thanksgiving dinner. Congrats on the turkey! Don't think I have ever eaten one this moist and flavorful. Everyone raved about the salad as the perfect flavor profile to accompany a turkey dinner. Best pumpkin pie I have ever tasted - the texture was perfection. Our server was a delight.
My 87 year Dad was in town and wanted to take us to a nice place for my husband's 70th birthday. I was looking for something nice where we could "talk" and not have a lot of noise from the other tables. Hideaway Steakhouse was just that. We had a super dinner, waitress was top notch, and owner kept stopping by. The food was fantastic! I would certainly recommend and go there again.
Service was very good and the restaurant is nice and quiet but I was very disappointed in the food. My steak was undercooked which I could have loved with but the cut of meat was not good for the price. I ordered ribeye and just left unimpressed and will not be back.
Usually this restaurant is great. However, during our visit several things occurred that were unacceptable. Early on my wife was hit in the head with a drink platter. Although the waitress apologized, management never came to check on her. Also, or server was slow and made limited visits. Several people arrived after us, recieved drinks, bread and their order well before we did. We were never even asked if we wanted bread nor was it ever brought to the table. I ordered the filet mignon and so did my wife. Mine was undercooked, hers overcooked. The baby carrots weren't cooked at all and were extremely hard. Unfortunately we've had much better experiences here and will probably take our business to an established large company like The Chophouse from now on. The price is comparable and I've never had a bad meal or experience there.
We really liked the place a couple of years ago and were excited to revisit.
This time we were not impressed and will not go back.
I ordered a $15 drink (signature drink off the menu), but was charged $28.
I didn't mention it to the server because at that pt we just wanted to leave.
I love the Hideaway! This is my second time going and it still impresses me! Everyone was so professional and nice. I loved how the manager asked how everything was. Everything was cooked to perfection! Our waiter was amazing as well as the bus boy, our glasses were never empty! I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a pricey but romantic date!
Excellent spot for our business dinner. Good food and wine with attentive service. Food was delivered quickly and excellent quality. Room was not too dark that you could not see and noise level was sufficient so that you could have a private discussion without having to speak too loud or soft.
This was my second visit to Hideaway and just as the last visit we were not disappointed. This is a great place for a date, anniversary or business dinner. Great relaxed atmosphere for conversation with impeccable dining, drinks and service. We’ll be back soon!
I was disappointed in the restaurant's failure to honor their advertising. The menu accessed through Open Table showed a fixed price menu for early dining. I did not see any reference to that option on the menu and asked the waiter. He said they just quit doing that the previous week as the slow season was over. Could have fooled me as my wife and I were the only customers in the room at 5 o'clock. His opinion was that Open Table needed to update their website. Nothing the restaurant could do.
Thinking about this I wondered where does fault lie, with the customer or the restaurant. Who should make this right? The restaurant has the contract with Open Table to act as its agent to promote the restaurant. The restaurant is the one that provides its menu and prices to Open Table. The restaurant is the one that is responsible for ensuring that its advertising is accurate. Why didn't they stand behind their advertising? So I was disappointed that the restaurant failed to make any concession or honor its advertising. The brief exchange with the waiter was a negative start to what should be a very pleasant experience especially considering this is supposed to be a top flight restaurant with exceptional customer service. And it is disappointing to note that as of this writing two days after our dinner the restaurant is still advertising it's early dinner menu on Open Table which it apparently has no intention of honoring.
