Hibiscus is a contemporary American steak and seafood restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is decorated in the typical style of a modern American eatery. There are high vaulted ceilings, exposed ductwork and the majority of the lighting is provided by small track lights that are scattered throughout the restaurant. There are also several plants and planters used as decoration, which brings a welcome and vibrant atmosphere to Hibiscus.
Hibiscus' menu changes every month, ushering in fresh new seasonal ingredients and unique and creative dishes. Some of the appetizers that have appeared on the menu include foie gras chicken liver pate, crispy lamb ribs, rabbit agnolotti and cuttlefish risotto. Hibiscus' main dishes are a mix of menu staples and seasonal favorites as well. Guests will find dishes like sea scallops with saffron squash, beef tenderloin with Marfa tomato and Windy Meadows chicken with a mushroom jam.
So sad to see it close. Have been a big fan of this since day 1 ...
Great location and service as always. Can't believe they are closing on Saturday!
Been here multiple times. Constantly great food, service, ambience.
My experience was not typical or representative of the rest of the group. My food was poor (my mistake ordering fish) but it was removed from the bill . The overall rating from my group was positive and they reported to have enjoyed the food. Strictly from my perspective I cannot recommend this restaurant
Had such a wonderful time. Our server was amazing and very attentive. Never had to ask for anything and always made sure to keep the wine glasses filled.
the atmosphere is better then the food. +service was fine and the presentation was really nice. the food it self was just ok.
Amazing food and service. We had the burrata, carpaccio, salmon tartare, jalapeno cornbread, mac and cheese and the hanger steak special. Best restaurant in Dallas.
our only complaint was that the waiter was a little snippy but maybe he was just having a bad day.
Excellent food and service. As good as any restaurant in Dallas.
Great location. The food was just the right combination of fresh, local ingredients, prepared creatively and with just the right hint of Texas (the jalepeno cornbread and sweet butter was to die for!) influence. Service was very friendly and swift without feeling rushed!
Awesome drinks, foods, and atmosphere! One of our favorite places in Dallas!
Chef has changed, so has the fare. Not bad, but not the old Hibiscus.
Over-priced. Good salads but ordinary entrees (for all four in our group )
Hibiscus never disappoints! We have been coming here since it opened and the menu always seems new and exciting, and the execution is always delivers. With all of the new restaurants that seem to come and go, it's nice having one that we can always count on.
This restaurant has now become my go-to for special occasions. Went on a Saturday and arrived early and had champagne at the bar prior to other guests arriving for a belated birthday dinner.
Alex and Chris were awesome servers that made it special and the food was exceptional, the wine worth it and more importantly, made me proud to call Dallas home.
Yes, a bit pricey but worth every penny.
Wonderful experience, delicious food and very cozy design.
Outstanding service- Elle was amazing! Our server Chris helped us with a gluten free menu items
The food here is always exceptional. I recommend sitting in the back room because it is much more quiet. Our server was excellent.
Food was good but my husband's $55 steak was overdone and the fish, though tasty, was also slightly overdone as well and we were eating dinner at 6:00... Before there was any crowd. The salad my friend had looked delicious and the sides were good as well. Wine list did not have many names that we look for in ordering... It was a long list of expensive wines but I think selection was just very overpriced and obscure enough so you wouldn't recognize all but a few. The service was impeccable! If they get the timing right on the dishes, this is a great restaurant.
Customer Service was GREAT!!!
Valet parking company is horrible.
Hibiscus provided the one of the best meals I have ever had. This is hard for me to admit, being a NOLA girl. The quality of the food prepared was top notch. With the exception of the oysters, everything was spot on and exceeded my expectations. The scallops were absolute perfection. The mushrooms were so flavorful. The kitchen is impressive and everyone seemed to be dominating their specific task. The face of the restaurant conceals what lies within. This place is amazing. I was delighted to find such a gem in Dallas.
Good experience! Came here for my birthday! Hibiscus never disappoints!
Best steak house in town. Diverse menu with farm to table menu. Love having Erin take care of us.
Great waiter that went far beyond the standard service. I order a bottle of wine and he tried to find the bottle but could not be found. He continued looking and found 1 bottle.
we always enjoy Hibiscus and the people are the best part---food is wonderful, service is great but the people are the best part!!
We went for our anniversary and they took great care of us
This is one of the best restaurants in DFW, though the high prices reflect that. The food is always good with large servings and the service is above par.
It was an excellent dinner! Highly recommend the tenderloin salad! Amazing overall. Great service, 5 STARS
Great food, great service. Ideal choice for a business dinner.
Took my wife and daughter. Food and atmosphere are both outstanding!
