Hibiscus is a contemporary American steak and seafood restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is decorated in the typical style of a modern American eatery. There are high vaulted ceilings, exposed ductwork and the majority of the lighting is provided by small track lights that are scattered throughout the restaurant. There are also several plants and planters used as decoration, which brings a welcome and vibrant atmosphere to Hibiscus.
Hibiscus' menu changes every month, ushering in fresh new seasonal ingredients and unique and creative dishes. Some of the appetizers that have appeared on the menu include foie gras chicken liver pate, crispy lamb ribs, rabbit agnolotti and cuttlefish risotto. Hibiscus' main dishes are a mix of menu staples and seasonal favorites as well. Guests will find dishes like sea scallops with saffron squash, beef tenderloin with Marfa tomato and Windy Meadows chicken with a mushroom jam.
So sad to see it close. Have been a big fan of this since day 1 ...
Great location and service as always. Can't believe they are closing on Saturday!
Been here multiple times. Constantly great food, service, ambience.
My experience was not typical or representative of the rest of the group. My food was poor (my mistake ordering fish) but it was removed from the bill . The overall rating from my group was positive and they reported to have enjoyed the food. Strictly from my perspective I cannot recommend this restaurant
Had such a wonderful time. Our server was amazing and very attentive. Never had to ask for anything and always made sure to keep the wine glasses filled.
the atmosphere is better then the food. +service was fine and the presentation was really nice. the food it self was just ok.
Amazing food and service. We had the burrata, carpaccio, salmon tartare, jalapeno cornbread, mac and cheese and the hanger steak special. Best restaurant in Dallas.
our only complaint was that the waiter was a little snippy but maybe he was just having a bad day.
Excellent food and service. As good as any restaurant in Dallas.
Great location. The food was just the right combination of fresh, local ingredients, prepared creatively and with just the right hint of Texas (the jalepeno cornbread and sweet butter was to die for!) influence. Service was very friendly and swift without feeling rushed!
