hh prime Ratings and Reviews
We were excited to go to the Omni/HH Prime for Thanksgiving dinner buffet. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was EXCELLENT and very personable.
Salads....what a nice display!! Everything was delicious and fresh with great variety.
Seafoods....again, great display and they kept restocking. Shrimp was excellent.
Main dishes....turkey, prime rib and ham were all excellent, well cooked with great au jus and garnish. Delicious!!
Main sides....not so great. We were there for a 12:30 reservation so things were picked over and should have been replaced. Sweet potatoes were excellent, but lukewarm. Mashed potatoes, cold and needed seasoned much better. Both stuffings, cold and you couldn't tell which was which as they were not marked. Carrots, cute display, but cold, needed better seasoning. Green beans, very good, but lukewarm. Didn't even try things at the end of the serving table as they only had lamps on them and we figured they were cold or lukewarm at best.
Breads....what?? No breads or rolls for a $50 meal?? No excuse for this at all. I asked our server if there were rolls and he said he would check.....came back with 3 stale, cold rolls. Absolutely unbelievable that there was no dinner roll for a meal of this price.
Desserts....all were good, Pecan pic, delicious! Didn't try cake pops. Chocolate cake got messy as pieces were huge and it had just been unthawed.
A supervisor came by to check our table and asked about our food. My husband was very nice, but honest. Steam tables were not steaming at all! He did come back and said everything had been replaced. By that time we had eaten what was there.
We were seated in the small room with a great view. Unfortunately, they decided to run a sweeper downstairs in the main restaurant while we were eating. So much for the ambiance!
All in all, this COULD have been an excellent meal, but attention to detail is needed. Nice people working that day and great view!
We visited HH Prime for Thanksgiving. The buffet was good, salads, seafood, turkey, ham, prime rib and a good selection of sides. Deserts were also very good especially the chocolate cake. One comment; the prime rib was well done which was a disappointment. We had a steak at HH Prime the night before which was cooked medium perfectly.
We went to H H Prime for dinner since we were staying only one night at the Omni. Our server, Amy, was excellent as we had a table outside. It was a beautiful night for our Anniversary. She served us champagne and then we ordered a bottle of wine and 2 steaks. I ordered my filet medium rare plus and they said no problem. It came out very rare....way too rare and they happily took it back. They were kind, but the only problem is it came back way to done. For the price I was upset that they didn’t have me cut back into it as they did the first time. It was still very tasting just overdone. That is the only reason for not a 5star rating. My husband had the ribeye and loved it...cooked perfectly. Everything else was superb and we loved the location. We would definitely go back!
Awesome tasting steak, Great Service by staff but...
Wife and I visited HH Prime first night in hotel and the atmosphere was cozy with live music playing in back ground. We found the food delicious and our waiter very attentive. I ordered the 14oz rib eye which came with a bake potato (no listed on menu) and that was it. There was no presentation, just a steak that was undersized, ragged and a bake potato that was undercooked slightly on a white plate. Not what I expected from a Omni resort and from other post/ pictures I saw on the internet. Basically a steak from a crackle barrel is what it amounted to. Yes, its Omni but it was way over priced ($46.00) for what we got and truly sad for that as the steak was cooked perfect, seasoned well and there's very few steaks I eat without A1.
They was less of the usual crowds being Labor day weekend that you would have to put up so a very quiet dinner. They appeared to have a great wine selection based on wine rack I saw. Omni and HH Prime need to reevaluate the cost vs. presentation/what you get. It just gives Omni a bad reputation. On another note, had a reservation thru Open table but was emailed next day stating HH had stated we missed the dinner. Emailed them to have corrected.
Visiting from Saint Louis and we decided to try HH Prime since we were staying at the OMNI. It was a good meal, but nothing to write home about...especially for the prices they charge. I may just be spoiled with the food scene here in STL, but I've had a much better steak and seafood here for a much lesser cost. I didn't leave feeling unsatisfied, but I also wasn't blown away by any means, so the high prices didn't seem worth it to me. I will say, however, that the service was outstanding - and that helped make it an enjoyable experience.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding. You have missed fear was definitely romantic which was awesome because I took my wife for our 19th wedding anniversary. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion any food there's as an all-around beautiful restaurant an excellent food and awesome service. Thank you for making my wife and i experience well worth it we're from Maryland and we would definitely eat there again
The restaurant is in a wonderful setting. My husband and I dressed for a special night but others around us did not which I felt was unfortunate. The server was very attentive but seemed to be trying too hard. He should have been a little more subdued. The food was wonderful. All in all not a bad night.
Despite the restaurant not being crowded, it was an hour before our entrees arrived. I ordered the Atlantic salmon with rice and mushrooms. Both the fish and mushrooms were very salty. My friend ordered the chicken and it was also salty. The ceasar salad and she crab soup were delicious. The cocktails were just okay - very sweet and light on the alcohol. Overall I just didn't think the food was worth the cost.
I asked waitress during dinner to give me the bill. My son-in-law went to manager and paid the bill. Waitress told me she had no control. This was very inappropriate as I made the reservation and had reason for paying the bill. The manager is at fault here and the owner should know about it. I was disrespected, it was my group. I live down here and will not return as I told waitress, there are consequences for what we do. My son -in law pulled a fast one and you facilitated. Bob L
My wife and i ate here the first night we arrived for vacation. Our waiter was great, lively and funny. We weren't rushed at all and the food was great. I had the best she-crab soup of my life. We both ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection and had lots of flavor.
They also hav an extensive wine list which made the meal much more entertaining!
Huge service failure. Took almost two hours to finish our meal. We were seated outside, but our server was also the bartender inside. She was working very hard, but unable to cover both areas. At least 30 minutes between finishing each course until the next one was served. Dumb idea by management to setup the service area this way. Food was fine, but not memorable.
