Nice dinner with my lady for her birthday
Great meal from start to finish and a wonderful way to spend my 60th birthday with best friends.
The food was ok I was actually disappointed as we were expecting a little more flavor and gourmet based on previous reviews. It was decent just not great the minus was the price relative to experience. The staff was very friendly and checked on us regularly but the entree’s took a long time to come out.
Calamari was a miss it was just average. The steaks were very good but ours were cold they were sitting there for a while. We won’t be back I think there are better places if you want steak.
Service was friendly and attentive, food was well prepared and delicious.
This was my first time at HH Prime. Just picked it by random when looking for a steakhouse to go to in Hilton Head for my Birthday. The waitress couldn't have been nicer. At least 8 people working there wished me a happy birthday. My water glass and glass of sprite never got below 25%. My wife and I had a late lunch so we were not starving but I wanted a bone in steak and the only one they had was a 20 oz. Not only did they let us split it..they split it up for us. The mashed potatoes were so good and the steak was perfect. I can't express how nice it was to go somewhere that treated us so nicely. It made a perfect ending for my birthday. Also, there french onion soup wasn't like most restaurants, it seemed like the chef's own recipe and I could taste the wine..but was still amazing. I plan on going back. Oh the bread and butter was amazing also..almost forgot that.
For a steakhouse it was just OK. The Caesar salad was not dressed instead it had a mayonnaise-based salad dressing squirted on the top ... cheese was not shaved Parmesan but rather kind of a graded Parmesan, they did share our meal for no additional cost and the steak was $60. Both my husband and I thought the steak was delicious but by no means did we feel it was a $60 value. French fries were heaped on the plate with a little bit of grated Parmesan cheese on top. Service was great but all in all we would not spend the money to dine there again
Excellent food, very good service, nice Valentine Day dinner, expensive but worth it.
Very disappointing experience. The price is high for what the customer receives. The restaurant just is not a class act that one would expect at Omni. Poor staff performance and a lack of an upscale atmosphere contribute to this impression. When we arrived we had to wait some time before anyone showed up to seat us. We had a reservation but it couldn't be found. We were seated in a very noisy area and had to ask to be moved. During what was supposed to be dessert, they seated a large party beside us. The food was very good but without the staff and atmosphere to support it, it was a let down. Oh, did I mention it was my birthday? They did know this and acknowledged it at the beginning but that was it. Went to this restaurant because Omni sent me an email regarding this restaurant suggesting we try it. We took dessert home. Won't return.
Lovely room...part of the Omni Resort. It was a Friday evening in January but still cannot get past the fact that we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. Our food was fine. My husband lived his wedge salad...think it was an entire head of iceberg. Steaks were good. The most fun was our delightful server, Claudia (hope I got her name correct). She was very professional while entertaining us through our whole meal.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner with family! The service was excellent and food was great! We always enjoy having a special dinner there!
We have eaten there several times great for beef( as suggested) we lost hd Thanksgiving there.
The thanksgiving dinner was so- so 2 people had beef which was great as usual.
We were excited to go to the Omni/HH Prime for Thanksgiving dinner buffet. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was EXCELLENT and very personable.
Salads....what a nice display!! Everything was delicious and fresh with great variety.
Seafoods....again, great display and they kept restocking. Shrimp was excellent.
Main dishes....turkey, prime rib and ham were all excellent, well cooked with great au jus and garnish. Delicious!!
Main sides....not so great. We were there for a 12:30 reservation so things were picked over and should have been replaced. Sweet potatoes were excellent, but lukewarm. Mashed potatoes, cold and needed seasoned much better. Both stuffings, cold and you couldn't tell which was which as they were not marked. Carrots, cute display, but cold, needed better seasoning. Green beans, very good, but lukewarm. Didn't even try things at the end of the serving table as they only had lamps on them and we figured they were cold or lukewarm at best.
Breads....what?? No breads or rolls for a $50 meal?? No excuse for this at all. I asked our server if there were rolls and he said he would check.....came back with 3 stale, cold rolls. Absolutely unbelievable that there was no dinner roll for a meal of this price.
Desserts....all were good, Pecan pic, delicious! Didn't try cake pops. Chocolate cake got messy as pieces were huge and it had just been unthawed.
A supervisor came by to check our table and asked about our food. My husband was very nice, but honest. Steam tables were not steaming at all! He did come back and said everything had been replaced. By that time we had eaten what was there.
We were seated in the small room with a great view. Unfortunately, they decided to run a sweeper downstairs in the main restaurant while we were eating. So much for the ambiance!
All in all, this COULD have been an excellent meal, but attention to detail is needed. Nice people working that day and great view!
We visited HH Prime for Thanksgiving. The buffet was good, salads, seafood, turkey, ham, prime rib and a good selection of sides. Deserts were also very good especially the chocolate cake. One comment; the prime rib was well done which was a disappointment. We had a steak at HH Prime the night before which was cooked medium perfectly.
Had a very good dinner with large portions. Very quaint atmosphere, perfect for our anniversary. Prices were comparable to the quality. Staff went the extra mile to make our occasion special.
great menu wonderful staff. The steak was perfect and the best baked potato I've ever had. Awesome wedge salad.
Nice evening. Very good service. The filet was very good. We would go back again
The food was excellent (and pricey, but worth it). Devon was our waiter and the service was as good as I've ever had. It was quiet, almost too quiet but it's the off-season and understandable.
We went to H H Prime for dinner since we were staying only one night at the Omni. Our server, Amy, was excellent as we had a table outside. It was a beautiful night for our Anniversary. She served us champagne and then we ordered a bottle of wine and 2 steaks. I ordered my filet medium rare plus and they said no problem. It came out very rare....way too rare and they happily took it back. They were kind, but the only problem is it came back way to done. For the price I was upset that they didn’t have me cut back into it as they did the first time. It was still very tasting just overdone. That is the only reason for not a 5star rating. My husband had the ribeye and loved it...cooked perfectly. Everything else was superb and we loved the location. We would definitely go back!
Good breakfast options
We chose HH Prime after looking at many restaurants on the Island. HH Prime seemed to be a good choice and we were not disappointed. We would recommend this restaurant.
Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was great. Best of all it was dog friendly!
Food was good, but the filet should have been charred. The french fries were very good. Service very attentive. Devon did a great job.
The food is great, the service is great. Just a bit pricey.
Food and service where great.
Awesome tasting steak, Great Service by staff but...
Wife and I visited HH Prime first night in hotel and the atmosphere was cozy with live music playing in back ground. We found the food delicious and our waiter very attentive. I ordered the 14oz rib eye which came with a bake potato (no listed on menu) and that was it. There was no presentation, just a steak that was undersized, ragged and a bake potato that was undercooked slightly on a white plate. Not what I expected from a Omni resort and from other post/ pictures I saw on the internet. Basically a steak from a crackle barrel is what it amounted to. Yes, its Omni but it was way over priced ($46.00) for what we got and truly sad for that as the steak was cooked perfect, seasoned well and there's very few steaks I eat without A1.
They was less of the usual crowds being Labor day weekend that you would have to put up so a very quiet dinner. They appeared to have a great wine selection based on wine rack I saw. Omni and HH Prime need to reevaluate the cost vs. presentation/what you get. It just gives Omni a bad reputation. On another note, had a reservation thru Open table but was emailed next day stating HH had stated we missed the dinner. Emailed them to have corrected.
Visiting from Saint Louis and we decided to try HH Prime since we were staying at the OMNI. It was a good meal, but nothing to write home about...especially for the prices they charge. I may just be spoiled with the food scene here in STL, but I've had a much better steak and seafood here for a much lesser cost. I didn't leave feeling unsatisfied, but I also wasn't blown away by any means, so the high prices didn't seem worth it to me. I will say, however, that the service was outstanding - and that helped make it an enjoyable experience.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding. You have missed fear was definitely romantic which was awesome because I took my wife for our 19th wedding anniversary. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion any food there's as an all-around beautiful restaurant an excellent food and awesome service. Thank you for making my wife and i experience well worth it we're from Maryland and we would definitely eat there again
The restaurant is in a wonderful setting. My husband and I dressed for a special night but others around us did not which I felt was unfortunate. The server was very attentive but seemed to be trying too hard. He should have been a little more subdued. The food was wonderful. All in all not a bad night.
Came for my daughters 14th birthday and it was amazing. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, it was amazing.
Our service and food was superb. Our waiter was excellent and the steaks and shecrab soup was over the top.
We had an anniversary dinner here while vacationing. Steak was good but vegetables could have been bettter. Good shrimp cocktail.
Despite the restaurant not being crowded, it was an hour before our entrees arrived. I ordered the Atlantic salmon with rice and mushrooms. Both the fish and mushrooms were very salty. My friend ordered the chicken and it was also salty. The ceasar salad and she crab soup were delicious. The cocktails were just okay - very sweet and light on the alcohol. Overall I just didn't think the food was worth the cost.
Food was good, service was good, it's in a hotel so the ambiance is fine. The steak was cooked correctly and the sides/bread was good!
Howard our waiter in training did an excellent job. Deborah did a great job making a cosmo and a Manhattan.
Excellent Food, Wonderful Service! Will definitely be back

I asked waitress during dinner to give me the bill. My son-in-law went to manager and paid the bill. Waitress told me she had no control. This was very inappropriate as I made the reservation and had reason for paying the bill. The manager is at fault here and the owner should know about it. I was disrespected, it was my group. I live down here and will not return as I told waitress, there are consequences for what we do. My son -in law pulled a fast one and you facilitated. Bob L
The $60 steak was $20 quality and the other meal we had was a $22 bowl of peas with some ravioli - I don't mind paying a lot for food but when I do, I expect it to be super high quality and this was not.
We came for a birthday dinner while out of town and had an amazing experience. We expected a complimentary dessert with champagne. Be cautious when sitting outside because the fire pit does make things a little warm. Overall, great spot!
