My wife and I made reservations for Valentines Day and were disappointed with the Pre-Fixe menu when we got there (nothing on open table stated a pre-fixe that we saw). The appetizer was 1 raw oyster (wife won't eat them), caesar salad was pretty much an uncut head of romaine, choice of duck, cobia, or tenderloin for the main course and choice of 3 deserts we never would have ordered. With 2 drinks each and a $250 tab we wish we could have spent a little more (yes a little more) and gotten a better meal that we would have enjoyed much more.
While we ate, there were 3 tables around us in the loft area that were seated and got up and left due to the menu. When we were leaving we spoke to one of the wait staff (who we recognized from a previous visit) and they told us over 16 parties got up and left because of the menu...that's ALOT of lost revenue.
We've been here a bunch of times before, sometimes it's great, sometimes not so much. Seems to be hit or miss.
Beau restaurant à l’intérieur plus chic et grande terrasse et bar plus relaxe, les fruits de mer très frais et bien présentés.
HH Prime is a hidden gem in the Omni hotel. This is our go to place for special occasions or just a really good dinner.
You don’t have to be staying in Palmetto Dunes to go here.
We have gone recently for our anniversary and Valentines Day. We especially enjoy their filet mignon.
Went for valentine's day, upon arrival was told that the menu was a special 3 course menu with limited choices for 64$ each, no problem I thought. Everything was disappointing, we saw 3 other couples leave when told the menu limitations. Food was unique but only average, wife loved the steak tho and must give that credit. Servers were good, but the product was average and overpriced. The regular menu has great options, ain't cheap, but the food looks good on paper.
HH Prime was one of only a couple of restaurants on Hilton Head Island that my wife and I had never tried despite 20 years of vacations and 4 years of residing locally. We decided to give it a try during restaurant week. In many ways this is a classic hotel restaurant (OMNI in this case). February is out-of-season so there were only a few other customers in the restaurant. The ambiance lacks warmth. It might have been fashionable 25 years earlier but it is a little outdated now. The food was average. We decided to purchase a 3-course fixed price meal. The She Crab soup was good and I appreciated the crab meat placed in the bowl before the creamy broth was poured onto it. The two entrees were a little different. I had the half chicken and it was a little dry. My wife's filet was good and prepared nicely. The accompaniments were nothing special. The desserts were good. I had the hot lava chocolate with chocolate ice cream. My wife had the bread pudding.
Service was very good. Our server Molly was very pleasant and very attentive. She was really the highlight of the evening.
Overall I rate this restaurant only fair. Because of all of the very good restaurant options on Hilton Head we will not go back to HH Prime.
We went here for our Anniversary. We ordered the filet and shrimp with asparagus, potatoes and each a side lobster tail and shared a mozzarella and tomato salad. The salad was the best part of the meal! The shrimp was also very good. The filet was extremely disappointing! Filet mignon is meant to melt in your mouth, however the filet was fuzzy tasting. They remade it and has the same result...fuzzy. Also another table received a glass of champagne with a strawberry and the server wished them happy anniversary. We never received that from our server. However that was very small considering the absolute disappointment of the meal and combined with being our 29th Anniversary. I left in tears because I convinced my husband to try here instead of our usual Ruth Chris steakhouse.
Christmas dinner celebration with family. The food was good however extremely over priced for the portion size, quality and Christmas menu selection. Very disappointed.
The staff were great very accommodating and super nice. The food was good, but a little pricey for the portions provided.
We went on Christmas Eve. The food was very good but unfortunately the service was not as good
My birthday celebration at HH Prime was awesome. Champagne to start. my filet was DELICIOUS along with the creamed spinach. The NY strip was equally delicious. Birthday dessert with creative with 'Happy Birthday' written on the plate; a very special touch. Service was kind, accommodating, pleasant and cordial. Highly recommend HH Prime .
Dinner with friends for our anniversary. Service was excellent, food was excellent. We couldn’t have had a better dinner or treated better than we were treated
Food was good but quite pricey for the atmosphere. Service was excellent
I made a reservation only to get there and find that they had decided to close the restaurant because they didn't have enough reservations. I received no notification.
Made an open table reservation and showed up but restaurant was closed due to low occupancy at hotel.
Ordered the steak as medium, came very well done, sent it back and, as expected, the redo was very rare. For a $48 expensive steak was expecting a better experience. Waitress was great, wish the food was.
I had the shrimp and grits they were very good, but salad had way too much dressing....
Anniversary dinner. Had the place to our selves. Server was very personable and extremely nice. Food was delicious.
Filet Mignon was tender, but very gray looking, not appealing in looks. Lobster tail was cooked perfectly, excellent flavor. Mashed potatoes that came with meal were flavorful, but skimpy portion. Service was excellent.
My husband chose this restaurant for his 50th birthday dinner with family. When the waiter arrived for our order I asked him if there were any vegan options. He then asked me if I was the vegan that didn't show up last night. What a rude response to a simple question. I was not that vegan, but even if I had been it still would have been rude. No plans to go back this restaurant.
The food was good, but nothing was amazing or worth the high prices that they charge.
My husband ordered the pork chop med rare and it came out well done, I also ordered my steak led rare and it was WAY over cooked. He sent his back, waited 30 minutes, and got the same exact thing the 2nd time. Would never recommend, wasn’t worth it for the price
Celebrated our daughters birthday! The entire staff was so kind, gave our daughter a little beach bucket filled with some candy and goodies and sang to her for her birthday! Our entire meal was fantastic, service was top notch. Devon and the entire staff were awesome!
The cake created by the chef for our daughters engagement was the best. Beautiful and beyond delicious!
Nice restaurant. Menu has a good variety. She crab soup was wonderful. The steaks melt in your mouth. Servings were plentiful. The service was outstanding. Kimarley was excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful in making decisions, professional and friendly. He and the other servers were very attentive to our needs.
Visited on a quiet Tuesday night , nothing to celebrate...we just really like the restaurant and has always had great food. However, this time was a different story. There were 3 of us and we ordered the 7oz Filet Mignon, Pork Chops and 1/2 Roasted Chicken. Every one of our meals was overcooked. Instead of med rare for beef it was well done (no pink at all), well instead of med for pork and the chicken was very dry. Before we could take a bite of our meals our lovely waitress asked how everything was, to which we said good...that was until we actually started eating. We waited for a few minutes to catch her eye but she never came back near us so we just ate our overcooked meals. If it was busy at all I could understand the issues but there couldn't have been for than 8 tables occupied. We live locally and visit every few months and on holidays but not sure we'll hurry back next time.
We ordered a great wine - Joseph Phelps Insignia - and the waiter accidentally brought just a regular Joseph Phelps, not the Insignia. He offered to exchange, but we already were drinking it. Was good, but not as good as Insignia, which is very special to us.
Delicious steak and French Onion Soup! Nice view overlooking the hotel grounds.
Great food. Pretty expensive but big meals.
Food was excellent. We ate there both nights. The bread was sooo good, could have kept eating it. Staff was friendly a little overpriced but food was good
Food came out cold . The server seemed to be annoyed that we had a toddler with us. Way over priced for what we got .
Noise was a little moderate, but that was due to the other patrons. We enjoyed our experience at HH Prime.
Excellent food price was alittle on the high side for drinks. Quiet peaceful atmosphere the outside area does have more activity. Including a very friendly kitty. He also enjoyed a piece of our meal(by our choice) all and all a good atmosphere. Alittle close to the condos surrounding.
It’s not a good restaurant. Service was super slow, food was slow, and undercooked, and overpriced.
HH Prime is our favorite date night restaurant! The drinks are wonderful, my ribeye was cooked to perfection, and the ambiance is perfect and intimate. This is a hidden gem in Hilton Head!
The filet was good but not prime in my opinion. The first steak was undercooked and had to be remade.
The Manager did take care of everything and the service was attentive.
Not much ambience and it was loud because of two large groups. The prices are expensive, everything is ala carte for sides and salads. Most restaurants include a salad and side with a steak dinner in Hilton Head.
The waiter was so wonderful. He made sure the food was made and served just how the kids would like it and had such great recs on what grownups would enjoy. Very attentive and helpful. Food was well prepared and enjoyable.
It was a nice setting and very good food. We weren’t sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised
Great service!! We had the lobster mac n’ cheese with salads and it didn’t disappoint.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We would definitely go back should we ever visit HHI again!
