Hersh’s is incredible. Their food is outstanding, and the service is impeccable.
This is my favorite place in Baltimore, err- on earth.
Excellent pasta - ravioli and spaghetti. Excellent octopus app. Excellent crab pancake app. Will definitely return.
Delish food. Great value priced wines.
Great food as always.
Meals made of perfection! This is a hidden gem for sure. The meals are like no other, homemade food from scratch. I really can’t get enough of this place. Leaves you wanting to eat there permanently.
They never miss. Hersh's for the win all day e'ry day🏆
Pizza was delicious!!
Chef Josh Hershvoitz serves up awesome brick-oven pizza and homemade pasta in a lively bar/restaurant in this South Baltimore neighborhood gem. Friendly staff, great cocktails and wine list reasonably priced. One of our favorites!
Our always fave go to Bmore restaurant. It’s always innovative food with a friendly neighborhood vibe.
Our favorite place! Great food and laid back ambiance! fun cocktails!
The house-made pastas are fantastic! I would highly recommend a meal at Hersh’s.
Great service and food for a birthday dinner!
Always fresh, always local, always seasonal, always delicious!
We love Hersh’s. Excellent food & service. Very welcoming staff. Warm atmosphere.
Everything was amazing as always!! Especially enjoyed the Squid Ink Tagliolini!!
Excellent as always
Our favorite restaurant in Baltimore. Never disappoints!
Terrific fresh locally sourced food. Meatballs are always the best compared to any other restaurant. Allie’s wonderful behind the bar & consistently makes us feel at home.
Hersh’s rarely disappoints and Wednesday was even better than usual. Food was excellent. The menu descriptions don’t do justice to the actual food. Also I asked the chef to sub out the rice pilaf for green beans and he literally grilled them in the wood fire -SO SO delicious! My only complaint is they are always out of something on the menu I want to try!
Delicious pasta dishes in a nice, intimate atmosphere
We sat outside so it was nice and quiet.
I am so unbelievably fortunate that I live just one block from Hersh's. It makes it easier and more convenient to stuff my gob with their delicious inventive food and pour their amazing libations down my throat. I went on #NationalFriedChickenDay and was blown away by their fried chicken meal. Run, don't walk, when fried chicken is on the menu.
Best veggie apps, pizza and killer customerr service in Baltimore!
Perfect as usual. Hersh's is consistently good, all the time. And because the menu changes, I am constantly finding new things to try that are always ridiculously delicious (and the best things I ever ate). The fettuccini thats on the menu right now is one of the best pasta dishes they've ever made, but literally everything on the menu is amazing. I also love their quaint outdoor patio - I always prefer to eat outside during the summer and this patio does not disappoint. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the city!!
Our server was one of the best. She was awesome. Very attentive. Very social and friendly without intruding.
Please bring back the octopus - it is the best in this city !
Father's Day dinner. My middle son's order was not placed by the server. He had to wait 10-15 minutes for what turned out to be a so-so entree. Would have been a 5 star rating
We love this place!
We have had pizza in Italy and at a famous spot in little Italy NyC! The pizza here beats it all! Service is great and the staff are so friendly. Drinks are pricy but happy hour is a good deal. We go at least once a month, we would go weekly if our budget allowed! It’s great for a date, family get together, casual etc. it all goes here - thanks Hersh’s
Always love Hershs. The pasta an pizza are outstanding and Shannon makes a mean martini
Really enjoyed our meal. Excellent selection and well prepared. Service was spot on! Thanks for a great evening!
Amazing food! On the pricey side of things for pizza and pasta - but very delicious. Awesome decor and mood in the restaurant
Great vibe and terrific wait staff, bartenders, and such a welcoming atmosphere. My only cautionary aside is if you have sensitivity to noise levels be advised that it’s an emporium of spirited and loud conversation.
And the food is really good. Smart and smallish menu. Very nice specialty cocktails, though not inexpensive.
Weather wasn’t nice enough to eat outside on this visit, but it looks like a good option when we return.
Love this place, but wished they opened earlier on Sundays for theater shows at the Hippodrome. An hour is enough but you feel rushed.
Hersh's is simply one of the best restaurants in Baltimore. Cozy, simple menu, food ranges from really good to outstanding, while being reasonably priced. I chose it for a bday dinner for six, suits just as well for first date, twentieth date, or a meal at the bar.
Great food but we were upstairs and the service was a little slow.
Amazing food and wonderful service. The best Italian food I’ve ever had.
My favorite place in Baltimore- every time we have friends in town this is where we go.
We made a reservation for a Saturday night and we were sat right away. It was busy, so I would recommend making a reservation. For an appetizer, we split the shrimp and calamari and then had the Pepperoni-oni Pizza and Spaghetti Carbonara for entrees. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Hersh’s changes up the menu frequently, so I am excited to go back and try something new!
My family loves Hersh's. It's a great casual place to eat where the food is treated anything but casually. I made the mistake of ordering a steak last weekend at Hersh's, which is really a pasta and pizza restaurant. The steak was gristly and raw, even though I ordered it cooked "medium." Our appetizers were delicious, though, and my companions love their pasta entrees, so my main advice is to avoid the steak. It's not in their wheelhouse. Waitstaff is also usually very good at Hersh's: cheerful, attentive, and helpful. This time we had a waitress who was just ok. She kept going to the wrong end of the table and reaching over the other diners to deliver food and drink. It was puzzling, as there was nothing in her way on the appropriate side. Maybe this was just a slightly off night for some reason. Hersh's is still a favorite, and it'll take more than a so-so night to chase us away.
