Too loud of a restaurant. Not amicable to conversation unless the person is sitting right next to you.
Service was slow. Requested bread and we recieved two small slices for the 3 people seated. It was insulting to say the least. Waiter did not flinch when he put the bread on the table and we had to point out to him there was 3 of us and did he expect us to share one of the slices.
This place is good for Happy hr only!
Went for the DineLa menu with 6 friends but the waiter said that everyone had to order off the DineLa menu. One of our friends did not want the DL menu so we spoke to the manager but it was company policy that everyone had order off the menu. No where on the menu or anywhere did they state this. That’s just bad customer service. Food was average and way over priced. Not coming back here again.
Great food and service. Good value ... But a bit too noisy
Recommended by hotel concierge. They placed us at an inside table where the draft was so bad, our menus would blow into our lap. After they moved us, hostess introduced us to new waitress and said we would get great attention. Although they weren't busy, wait staff was AWFUL. I had to get up three times to refill our wine glasses with our $100 bottle of wine. Same with water - wait staff ignored us, so I had to go to bus station to get water pitcher. French fries, which are hard to screw up, were mediocre at best. Bread basket was offered half way through dinner.
With all the amazing restaurants, don't waste your time here.
The restaurant itself is ok, the service was great and the food was mediocre. Not much flavor n the food won’t be back
Mussels was great.
All good was great.
Good for the dinner.
We had a romantic dinner night in the Restaurant. The atmoshpere was really great and the service from Andrew was amazing. Highly recommend the Restaurant again.
Very good and Ihighly recommend this restaurant for a night out personally or for a fun business dinner.
Tried Herringbone for a New Years late dinner date and loved the special menu, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to friends or family and will most likely come back for their oysters!
Came here for NYE and it didn't disappoint - Food and ambiance were great!
Visiting from out of town and found through Internet. Excellent experience, my halibut was superb and my husband liked his flat bread. Out server was great, she was very attentive and made us feel so welcome. We had the opposite experience the night before at s highly recommended seafood restaurant down the street. Highly recommend Herringbone!
Food was great, on the pricey side but creatively presented and prepared well. Yummy desserts. Great location for us because one of our group is on a scooter for a broken ankle and couldn't navigate long distances. This restaurant was across from our hotel (Marriott Le Merigot) so it was perfect.
We had reservations for 10 on NYE - eating out on NYE is a gamble restaurants are often too busy and the service is lacking. This was NOT our experience at The Herringbone! Our waitress, Erin, was cheerful and attentive. Actually all the staff were very attentive - water glasses were never empty. The food portions are on the smaller side but the quality is top-notch so we didn’t mind at all. Everything tasted delicious and fresh! Some of the favorites amount our group include the apple and arugula salad, aracini, chicken, lobster tail, king crab with sweet potato gnocchi, warm chocolate cookies and of course the oysters!!
Great food and wonderful service.
We had high hopes for dinner. The restaurant was half full on Saturday at 7:30 pm. We were early and hung out the bar before heading to our table. Great service at the bar. We were seated pretty quickly.
Appetizers (tuna poke and jumbo shrimp) were tasty and arrived quickly. Entrees were another story...2 came out quickly...the third was delayed with some bizarre explanation from our waitress about the chef deciding not to read the other order tickets??? Finally the sea bass arrived, along with the asparagus. The other 2 entrees, scallops with marrow and albacore tuna, were so-so. The tuna was practically raw, although the bed of greens that it was on was tasty. We weren’t offered a glass of wine or dessert or even a discount on the late entree or side dish.
The worst part of the evening was the fact that some of the service people started bringing in items from the patio into the dining room, which meant that a big gust of cold air would hit us every 5-10 minutes during the last half of our meal.
The prices are very high.
The GM is amazing. Really great service. Thank you
First time here and we loved it. The food was amazing, different take on some standards, octopus, tuna etc. We ordered cocktails, which were delicious. Our server, Tiara was wonderful and attentive without being intrusive.
Absolutely horrible food but service was great. Oysters were bland to the point where I think they were pasteurized. The whole fish ceviche was chewy and tough. Definitely not sushi quality. I got multiple scales in my mouth. As recently as a year and a half ago I loved the place. The buffalo octopus was the only highlight. Flatbread pizza was overly cheesy with no crunch. The french fries were overly salty and undercooked in the middle. Really a shame. It turned into a typical chain restaurant
Amazing for my fiancé’s birthday dinner on Christmas Eve!
Best chiliquiles I’ve ever had
We will be back!
Brunch was very disorganized and distasteful. Both orders came out incorrect and were sloppy. Will never be back for brunch again
Food was good, drinks were great and the service was excellent! Our server, Erin, was super prompt and very attentive, down to the temperature of the room. Great experience and would definitely go back!
This was my second time, both times was a business dinner. The service and food were great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Don't go hungry unless you are rich! The ambiance was nice; however, we sat at an outside table and had to move inside because soil was dropping on us from the planter above our heads, The food is good, but really pricey. $39 for 3 scallops, side dish of asparagus had only 5 spears, octopus dish had 2 tentacles, approx 6 inches long and 3 inches long. Although the foot was good, it was just too pricey for what your get for me to return. I dont' mind paying those prices as long as I am satiated. Waiter was very good.
Great food and service!
Very nice looking restaurant but unfortunately HORRIBLE service. Food took forever and then when the food arrived it was cold. Instead of asking why a plate full of food was not touched, she asked: "do you want me to box that up for you?" The worst part was the attitude of the server. Another staff member was so shocked at the server, they informed the Manager. The manager only said sorry and walked away. As we left, we understood why there were so many open tables. Not sure how much longer this restaurant will last. Too bad.
Food was good but unfortunately waiter was not attentive, no personality, brought foods to our table without saying anything.. sliding a dessert menu to table ‘ walking by ‘ ...
It was a chilly night. Our table, indoors, was near a door to an outdoor dining area. So every time(frequently) that the door opened we got a blast of cold air.
The portions were generally small. When I asked for bread they brought us 2 slices toasted for the 3 of us). My swordfish steak was very thin & the accompanying sides tiny. Due the the open air design it was a bit noisy & hard to hear conversation at the table. All told O wouldn’t go back here.
Service was solid and quick; my colleagues liked their fish entrees (swordfish and branzino) but I wasn’t too jazzed about my food. Even though everything was beautifully presented, the flavors were just too heavy and flat—just really salty without much depth of flavor.
The ambience was beautiful. Noise level was pretty high, especially for a weeknight.
Too, too loud!!!!
The sticky buns were delicious! The service was great and you can't go wrong with the bottomless Rose paired with the fresh oysters. We'll definitely be back.
The crablegs and salads were excellent. The swordfish came almost raw. We asked to cook it more TWICE. It was still not hot or cooked properly. The rhubarb desert was very watery and we didn't eat much of it. The service was poor. Waitress was nice but seemed over-burdened.
There was an engagement party going on during our reservation so I'm sure it was louder than usual but we still had a great time.
My favorite place in the city for brunch! Always delicious!
Took them an hour to get us dessert, the waitress wasn’t too interested in service. We kept waiting for her to show up so we could order a repeat of the drinks. I wouldn’t go back again in a hurry.
The waitress forgot an order and then double charged us.
We were celebrating a friends birthday here. The decor is really lovely as you walk in and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered drinks that were very good. The service was amazing- my water glass was never empty. Our appetizers of ricotta and spinach flatbread and tuna carpaccio were delicious. Our entrees were as delicious as they were beautiful. Can’t wait to go back.
Not good for a brunch or drinks. Great seafood, nice decor
The staff was amazing so we decide return the following night. Antonio (bar) and Nora (table server) excelled in their knowledge and customer service.
