   I always love going to the hermitage, such a beautiful restaurant. I wish they would bring back bottomless brunches as I heard they used to do these. The food is just amazing! I would 100% recommend this to friends and family

   Extremely welcoming, polite and attentive waitress staff, can't fault them at all. Food however was well below what you'd expect when seeing the prices. We ordered a very expensive steak cooked medium rare and it was bordering on medium-well. Also it wasn't a very nice cut of steak considering at least 50% of the actual cut was fat and gristle. A £19 burger was dry and not visually appealing, try another local burger shop or Maccies instead. Chips were delicious though.

   We had Sunday lunch. It was a set menu where you can choose two or 3 courses. Actually, one course would have been enough. We couldn't eat it all. Superb prawns and chicken wings to start followed by slow roast lamb shoulder for two with all the trimmings. It really was delicious. Good portions reasonably priced. Service is outstanding. One small complaint is that our table for 2 was a little too close to the table in front and behind us. We couldn't pull our chairs out and had to ask the other diners to move in a bit. Luckily they were very obliging. I don't usually make reviews but firmly believe this restaurant deserves it. We shall be back and I can't wait.

   Whilst I enjoyed my oysters, chips and seafood pasta, my partner couldn't say the same about her food; the roast beef was rare and the waitress couldn't be bothered to ask how my partner liked it to be cooked, we asked to change the potatoes for some vegetables instead, the brocoli were burned and we were charged for it as well. The waitress should have a little but more training as with a little bit more care & attention she could have made the difference between a slightly disappointing experience to a good experience. She should take some skills from the manager as he was engaging and at least a smiley face would make you feel welcomed.

    It’s like a New York loft experience, with great food and good service. Tables nicely spread out, so the neighbour tables aren’t on top of you. Will definitely go back

    We spent our anniversary here and it was so special! The food was absolutely delicious, we tried the mussels on the specials menu and they were the best mussels me and my partner have ever eaten. The prawn linguine was also splendid. Service was phenomenal, every single member of staff went above and beyond for us and we were made to feel so welcome. You could see the kitchen from the dining area which was a lovely touch and made the atmosphere even better than it already was. Can’t wait to come back again.

    Service was poor. Staff were not observing what was happening at the tables. I was waiting 15 minutes to get a drink but no-one bothered, and they only came to the table when our meal had finished. I find that very poor from a restaurant that charges premium prices for it's meals.

    Our third visit was disappointing, arrived and had to wait 10 minutes before we were served or offered drinks, starters arrived soon after we ordered. Mains were only served after I waved to the chef in the open kitchen to get some attention as we were ignored by almost all of the waiting staff. An apology came with the mains and offered a round of free drinks. The restaurant was busy but appeared to have lots of staff on. Food was good - but be prepared to wait !

    Wish staff were more attentive as we didn’t get drink menu at arrival although it’s not busy time. Food was average and overpriced. I am not sure if we will visit any soon.

    Amazing food and service, a little hiccup with our order but they couldn’t apologise enough and gave us a free desert! Best steak I have had in long time. Staff were all so friendly - well done Hermitage

    Food was good but the service was slow. We felt like we were always trying to catch someone's eye to get their attention to order a drink etc. The atmosphere was ok, but the bar area is quite bright now and all seated, so just feels like an extended restaurant rather than a bar

    We were seated quickly Staff were nice and friendly Took our order for drinks, starter came told the staff we hadn’t received our cocktails but they didn’t end up bringing the drinks until after our main meal was already on the table so we made do with the tap water provided for the first 20 mins Steak was cooked to perfection

    Not my first time at hermitage and as always I loved it. It has this central london restaurant vibe but the amazing food and service you never receive in central london. We ordered a cocktail that was served it a glass skull, with flames and it was just stunning. All tables were looking at our drink :) keep it up hermitage, such an outstanding restaurant

    I had an evening meal at the Hermitage last night and it was fantastic. Service as polite, professional and very friendly. We shared a Chateaubriand chateau which was amazing. Excellent cocktails and wine too. We will be back.
