   We had such a wonderful birthday meal, the food was exceptional and we had amazing service from Molly who always checked up on us! Our steaks were well cooked and we were super happy with our drinks!

   Hermitage Road is a lively, extremely popular establishment in the heart of Hitchin. The interior design of the restaurant is exposed brick work. It is a wonderful space, reminiscent of a New York style eaterie. It is one of a group of eateries, which is part of the Anglian Inns family company. The menu is varied, more meat orientated than fish or vegetarian; a little surprising. However, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Service is welcoming, friendly, unobtrusive and smooth in its efficiency.

   Great food and service as always. Lovely wines, and homemade cocktails. The food is outstanding and presented well. Best restaurant in Hitchin and surrounding areas.

   Nice looking restaurant, we went on a Sunday of BH weekend so was a little disappointed that we could only order roasts. The food was ok nothing blew us away, my husbands beef was chewy after mentioning it to the waitresss they promptly took it off the bill. All in all a nice meal would go again but not on a Sunday.

   Food was lovely. Service mostly good, but had to grab our own menus and ask twice for water. It is very much at the upper end of the dining experience as has become very expensive so not something we do often like we used to.

   We had an amazing evening at the Hermitage for our anniversary. Mollie was a great server. Knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list and really friendly. She made the evening for us just by being very sweet and kind. The food was delicious. The wine was delicious and we were given a free glass of prosecco because it was our anniversary.
