Maybe we were early for diner, We ordered the Char. Our first time eating this.
It was very good. Down side was that they did not have the cedar planks for that smokey flavor.
and the potato's could have been cooked just a bit more.
The Appetizer was very good, Mushroom arugula parmesan cheese flat bread.
Heritage is usually a favorite of ours. We came here 2 times in the last month and it seems the food has declined. We were not impressed with the quality or selection of food these 2 times. Also the service was terrible both times. We used to love the service and these last 2 times the waitresses forgot about our table, we had one drink the entire 2+ hours there because she never asked if we wanted another, and she practically avoided the table at all costs. Very disappointed and not sure we will be back any time soon.
Date night for my wife and I. Our server Mike was excellent as usual. He is always very proficient and professional. Mike lets us know what is really good on the menu but doesn’t push it. Food arrived quickly and hot. Jazz
Band was playing adding to the great atmosphere of Heritage. Heritage has a very nice selection of beers, wine and spirits. They have my favorite bourbon and a good selection of others to try. Good food, good drinks, good staff, food atmosphere!
Live Music experience made ambience good. Food was ok.
Food & service both very good. Enjoyed the excellent bluegrass music during brunch. Ambiance a rustic industrial look, pretty simple. Prices are a bit high for brunch entrees.
Love this place! Food was yummy, service excellent!
Great place for a date. The live music was really good
Great beer menu, food was awesome! Music wasn’t jazz but pleasant would come again b
This used to be a nice date restaurant, but the quality has gone downhill in terms of service, as well as ambiance. They’ve added TVs to the bar area, so while you’re listening to a great 3 piece jazz band, you’re also watching geico commercials.
Great food, beautiful decor, great drinks. Jazz brunch presents a nice relaxing atmosphere.
Food and service great and the live jazz is awesome!!! Love this place!
It’s a dope spot! Love the vibe! Nice place to take your date!
Amazing brunch! Great band!
We specifically picked the Heritage because they boast live Jazz music. We arrived at 6:00 and there was no live music. A jazz piano player arrived sometime before 7:00...The music piped in was better. My husband had the duck and it was very good. I ordered the special - a 6-ounce filet mignon. At $44 I expected better. However, I did not complain as there was nothing else on the menu I would have preferred. The highlight of the meal was the waiter, very friendly, informative and timely.
I would say this place is generally for a younger crowd. When a band is playing, the sound level is deafening. Food and service were good, however. The bar is beautiful, would stop in for a drink and bite there on a quieter night.
I am a regular customer for Sunday brunch and Bluegrass at Heritage. The food is good, and the music is good, but the best thing about Heritage by far is the staff. I am a regular customer because of Christine, Siani, Olivia, and the rest of the staff.
We love the food and the space. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. Simple requests for soft drinks took nearly 20 minutes. Coffee was brought without a cup for decaf and without cream for at least 5-10 minutes after coffee came out. One of the meals came out almost 5 minutes after the rest. It wasn’t that busy either so it was a bit confusing why things were taking so long. Other than that, we had a great meal. Hopefully service will improve next time we come in.
The menu was limited, and there was an automatic charge on our bill for live music which we didn’t know until after we had paid. There was no music while we were there-the band was on a break. So that was a bummer
We enjoyed our first visit to Heritage. We plan to be back for dinner and Gypsy Jazz.
Live music is good while having brunch if it's not too loud
Music was a bit too loud and upbeat for the jazzy dinner experience we expected. Food was fine - steak tartare was yummy, burger was fine. Mezcal drink was tasty!
Food and service and ambiance were good. Kinda pricy entrees and we got charged for the live jazz music on our bill (which nobody informed us of).
Unique place in Northern Liberties, dinner Jazz was great. Brussel sprouts and roasted peppers were incredible, crab cake sandwich was average. Wait staff was very attentive.
Awful food compared to when we were there before. Bacon was burnt, eggs were sparse and French toast had no taste. Very disappointing.
Vegetable platter used to be better.
We had a great time ! Serene Green was fabulous! We will be back, with friends.
We ate here for Bluegrass Brunch, are server was attentive, good drinks, music great. Food was nothing special. Had pulled pork hash, all potatoes with maybe two pieces of pork
Excellent food and service. The live music was fantastic.
We booked a table so we could have dinner and listen to the live jazz band and our table was close to the bar which was fairly crowded. The band was great and the food was great, yet the bar crowd continue to swell right next to our table. The manager, Christina, noticed it and came right over to our table and moved it over for us. She then checked in with us throughout the evening. While the music was great and the food was great, the service was amazing.
The duck is perfection! Can’t beat a great meal & live music!!
Food was excelent and our waiter had great recommendations and pairings. Noise level was high simoky because of the amazing jazz that was playing which is not a bad thing! Can rack up a big check quick but its worth it!
everything tasted great. service was great. However, the live music was so loud that my date and i couldn't even have a conversation
Great open environment with really chill live music for brunch! $6 mimosas (not $5 like online menu says) and $12 breakfast. Good value overall and not cramped and loud like many places in Philadelphia.
Excellent food, service and pricing
Heritage was a wonderful mix of the jazz/funk scene with excellent original cuisine. I couldn't have asked for a nicer venue to celebrate Valentine's Day! Kudos!
Food was pretty good for me, but my wife's was not. However our server was awesome and took her meal off the bill. I wish I had gotten her name because it was unexpected and much appreciated. The live music that night was also really good.
Nice spot. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was excellent and the live music was great.
The food and drink were excellent... our server was even better. We just felt sorry for the band since it was almost empty (early on a Sunday night). Somewhat expensive but really good food.
I've been to bluegrass brunches at Heritage in the past, but not for a while. In the past, I enjoyed several different dishes. The room is lovely, with lots of wood and natural light.
This time, I noticed that they no longer offer French Press coffee, which was a disappointment. The coffee was ok, not great. And the server brought a small bottle of cream or milk, which contained enough for barely one cup.
My smoked salmon flatbread was very salty. I guess I should have asked about that first. The server was attentive, almost to the point of overdoing it. However, when we needed our table turned around so we could face the band, she did not offer to help or find someone who could, so we had to do it ourselves.
The band was delightful and very entertaining. I will return, but I will be cautious about which dish I order. By the way, there was no problem using two credit cards so we could split the bill. We appreciated that.
Overall, Heritage was a great place to eat, drink and listen to live music; however, if you are going to hangout a while after finishing your meal, beware! They got our meal out to us, in what felt like, 10 seconds and the waiter pretty much avoided our table until he saw we were almost done eating, trying to get us boxes and hurrying us up. He did not once come up to ask us if we wanted another round of drinks (even when glasses were visibly empty), we had to flag him down to ask for another round. It seemed like they couldn't wait to give us our check, so they could get us out. Our reservation was at 7:15 PM and we were there for an hour at most. I don't know that I would go back based on that. I was disappointed because we could have definitely stayed for a few more drinks if they weren't rushing us out the door.
