Heritage Grill Ratings and Reviews
We have visited this restaurant quite a few times, including last New Years Eve. This New Years Eve we returned and the visit was nothing like the past. At $65 a head, including children and no alcohol, we at least expected a decent meal. The waiter brought us all the wrong appetizers; they were replaced, but my turtle soup was not edible (first time in hundreds that I ever left turtle soup). The other appetizers were nothing special. For the entries my wife’s Osso buco was bland, an almost impossible feat. The dessert course was alright, but nothing special as you would expect from a Brennan restaurant. We won’t be returning.
Although I had a reservation, the hostess was confused and was trying to set up the table even though half of our party was already seated (I didn't know they were there as they were in the back room). Luckily one of our party was coming from the restroom and told us they were already seated. Not a good first impression!
Service was friendly, but spotty. Members of our party had to ask for tea and bread twice. More staff was needed.
We thought that the price was high for the quality of the food. The food was okay but not excellent and there was not a huge selection. We also found that the food was not hot enough. The serving staff was very pleasant when they came to the table; however, we had to ask someone to have them come to the table and explain the procedure for the buffet.
Our family enjoys special occasions at Heritage...0verall again it was great... lil disappointed in seating this time. We were seated in back corner at long narrow table and hubby who walked with cane had to sit at head of table with limited space in corner...not as comfortable or enjoyable as other times. The back door leading to hall elevators was drafty with door left open entire meal...table stuck out in doorway...we had to block small toddler between us to prevent him running out into hall...dining room was half full when we were seated would have preferred sitting at round facing each other than in long single row...otherwise tolerable we tried make best of our family together a lil uncomfortable seating this time around...next time hopefully can request more suitable seating for the handicap elderly in making future reservations.
Was great food and service. My boy friend has a walker which I had indicated in the reservation and they seated us on the low level. Being Thanksgiving there was a buffet and our table was not far from the buffet food tables. Staff served and carried what my boy friend wanted from the buffet which helped us both. I was able to relax too!
While the food was quite good , as usual I did have one problem which I have tried to take up with management by email. But there does not seem to be a customer service sight that I can find. I will keep trying . This problem will not stop my return thought.
I lunched here on my birthday with two of my grown children and I was anxious to try Heritage Grill because of its management by Ralph Brennan's restaurant group - always first class. The choices on the 2-course $20 menu are just perfect (my gulf fish was superb) for a quick and tasty and healthy business or social lunch and the wait service by Cici was attentive and friendly. The reserved parking in front of the restaurant was very convenient. A very nice lunch!
My Mom and I had Mother's Day lunch here. She was really happy with everything -- food, service, wine selections, etc.
It's buffet so I didn't know what to expect. The selection is varied enough without being overwhelming. We had a really good Sauvignon Blanc recommended by our server.
The atmosphere was nice for a holiday lunch -- not insanely busy or loud.
The staff was very professional but friendly and accommodating on Mothers Day - obviously one of their busiest days of the year.
The food was fresh and tasty, but the quail an andouille gumbo was too highly seasoned.
All in all, a wry pleasant dining experience.
We came to Heritage for Easter Sunday brunch. The endless Mimosas were really good! Our waitress was super polite and took great care of us! The entire staff was friendly and made polite conversation during the entire meal. The only reason I gave four stars is because I hoped there would have been a bit more of a selection for the price of the buffet. We would like to come another time to try things off the menu. Very nice atmosphere, made our Easter memorable.
We stumbled across Heritage Grill while searching for Easter brunch menus. We made the reservation without ever being there. The service was excellent and the food was great. The only suggestion would be to have more seafood dishes, like maybe something boiled, or even raw oysters. I would definitely go back. The champagne was definitely worth the 10 extra dollars.
Great place for Easter Brunch! No need to deal with the hassles of the French Quarter - crowded restaurants, parking prices, traffic, etc. when you can stay in the suburbs!
Great setup, service and value for the amount of food available. Both a good variety and taste!
This restaurant is only open for lunch during the week, but they offer holiday brunch seatings as well. Perfect!
Not usual open for dinner, but the prefixed New Years eve menus looked delicious. We were seated on time and got New Years hats and noise makers! Fun! BUT, we sat for over 10 minutes for anyone to come to the table. We finally got service when my husband went to talk to the host. He was friendly and apologized, our waiter did not! Food was great which helped us forget the subpar service.
Service was AWEFUL!. I cannot believe a Brennan restaurant had such bad service. The waiter is the server and bartender and as long as it took to get food probable chef too! I felt bad for waitress as there was no way she could handle all that. She was really sweet, but one person cannot do all that and provide good service. The food was awesome. I can get good food in New Orleans, What I go out for is to be waited on, Not to flag down the waiter for the food, the drinks and finally the bill. Plus out of miller light!
This was a good choice for Thanksgiving. They offered classic choices (turkey, stuffing, pies) along with some new options (braised short ribs, beet salad). The cauliflower and popcorn rice casserole was outstanding. Also enjoyed the unlimited mimosas. Service was very friendly.
Thanksgiving buffet is lots of fun, casual, not too crowded despite full reservations. The meats and traditional sides were great. However I wish they had a more traditional salad and more vegetable selection, such as brussel scpouts or asparagus or roast veggies. There was nothing like that on the menu. But we will return as it is good for families.
While I have come to really enjoy this place for it service, food, and value; this time there were two private parties one quite large .that seemed to slow the service . I think the kitchen might have been over whelmed . I tried the new French Dip . It was nice but could have benefited from something green on the plate along with some mayo or butter for the bread. I understand that it is a new item on the menu so I hope that my suggestion will not upset anyone.
Great spot to pick up clients and the airport and head downtown. Easy arrival and departure for a Ralph Brennan Restaurant. Ambience of the restaurant is perfect for business conversation with attentive service and delicious food. Self parking garage offers covered parking if the weather is inclement.
The food was over priced and they did no have enough to choose from. I am allergic to shellfish. they didn't have enough food that I could eat. Why can't they have regular salad instead of spring mix. The prime rib was almost raw. The desserts weren't to good.
We dined at Heritage Grill for Mother's day and it was outstanding. The food was beyond delicious and there were choices for breakfast and lunch. The service seemed to be a little lacking but that's what happens when it's a "serve yourself" operation. We will definitely return for another special occasion.
