   While the renovated restaurant is pleasing to the eye, the acoustics are terrible. We were there for lunch on Saturday and the restaurant was noisy. This is not appealing and we will likely seek other venues for dining in the future, despite the food and service being high quality.

   Herbie’s was excellent. The renovation they just completed looks great and feels comfortable. The new menu offered a wide variety of options and the items we ordered were tasty. We can’t wait to return.

   First time at Herbie’s and had a wonderful experience. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and we decided to sit in the bar, he’s a sports guy and the bartender was great, very attentive and actually greeted us with a glass of bubbly when he heard it was my boyfriends birthday. The appetizers were delicious that we ordered, chopped salad was good…should have split it, it was big and our entrees were so good. Definitely will be coming back and can’t wait for patio season!

   They need to expand the brunch menu. How can you make Banana French toast, but not regular French toast and being charged $9 for a side of liqueur is beyond crazy.

   Food was mediocre. Came an hour early for brunch reservation and was seated promptly. The table we received was small and in the corner. Not that big of a deal because there was only two of us. However, it was right by the high traffic kitchen/bar area which was a nightmare. They didn’t have any french toast which was a bummer. The ambience was not as it’s portrayed on social media which was a huge let down. I can say I went but definitely don’t have to go back.

   The server was excellent. He tried his best to make things work to the best of his abilities..the menu changed drastically which made HERBIES just like a normal brunch. The French toast they use to have was amazing but they took them off the menu…no unlimited mimosas and the menu still had those items on it….they added a waffle just a plain vanilla waffle….the conversation the family time and the setting was great

   We have a long history at Herbie's, and at Balaban's before that — our first date was at Balaban's nearly 35 years ago, and we're still on it! The dining area is still in the last stages of a renovation, but where we sat is lovely and new. The food is reliably excellent, and dessert — well, I had been thinking about the dark chocolate bread pudding for days!

    It was fine. Nothing wrong, but nothing great. Not a lot of charm in the renovation and still under construction. For those prices, it leaves a lot to be desired. We don’t get out to eat much, so expectations were high. 2 drinks. I cup of soup. 2 entrees. $120 before tip.

    Everything was excellent especially our server Zach. He was extremely personable without being intrusive and very knowledgeable about the wine selections. He recommended the perfect wine for our dinner. I hope to see or have him upon my return!

    Had a great brunch at Herbie’s. The chicken and waffles is a must. The French toast was the perfect way to end our meal. I’d highly recommend the unlimited mimosas!

    I went to Herbie’s for a particular salad they used to serve. Unfortunately, it was not on the menu. They were at the end of their brunch, so I ordered a steak and eggs-no eggs. The temperature I ordered was medium rare. The steak was extremely tough and very rare. I let them know. They brought back the same plate with cold fries (what I substituted the eggs), and the steak that looks like they put in the microwave. It was the same steak that was now very well done. I let management know and she advised I. could order from now that bar menu on the house. I ordered tenderloin skewers and fries. They brought back the same fries and skewers that were well done. They tasted like they were marinated in vinegar. I ate 1 and asked for my check. The steak was removed, but I was charged for the awful skewers. I paid the bill and left. The only bright spot was the very kind and great bartender. He made the experience better than it should have been, and I tipped accordingly. He couldn’t help the issues I had. I returned to eat here after having a horrible service experience about a year before. Not all businesses are worth second chances-especially when the food is mediocre at best.

    We had a Saturday brunch reservation for 10 and showed up at 9:45. The foyer was open which was great due to the weather- it was 35F outside and there was no close parking. We were told to leave and come back. I understand not serving us, but it was very cold with no where to go. I am frustrated we had to stand outside the doors in the cold before eating a pricey breakfast. The food was ok. The location and ambiance is nice

    I made a reservation and was given the option on where to sit. The service was phenomenal & the food was even better. Drinks are strong & you just feel good in the environment they created. We’ll be back.

    Herbie’s always is a great time. The service is excellent and food well prepared. They have been a favorite of ours since moving to clayton. They always gave something for everyone to enjoy.

    The acoustics of the space really need improvement. We were in the carpeted room and we still could barely hear each talk. As you make planned changes to the space, please consider adding some soft surfaces to minimize noise. It would also be nice to add an omelet to the menu.

    We where recommended herbies for brunch so we went on a Saturday around noon. They where fairly busy but there was not wait for our party of four. We where quickly greeted by our server who did an excellent job. We had the avocado toast with egg and the breakfast sandwich with their homemade sausage. Everything was excellent. I would definitely recommend the unlimited mimosas.

    The waiter was excellent. My old fashion was delicious. I ordered the goat cheese with a tomato sauce and I didn’t eat a lot. When the waiter package it to go, he placed the bread in the same container with the sauce, therefore the bread is no good now.

    First time at Herbies and everything was great! We tried a variety of cocktails and appetizers, all where good. For dinner we had the scallop special they where offering that evening and the orecchiette pasta. I would definitely recommend. We are looking forward to coming back this summer to sit on the large patio they have.

    Herbies is great for business lunches. We were sat promptly and our server took our order quickly. We asked to sit in a quiet space and they were able to accommodate. I was surprised at how quickly the food was served based on how busy they seemed to be. We will book again
