We've gone twice and we've always been the only ones there, which is a Shane because the food is so good! Would highly recommend the beef Wellington!!!
The food was execellant. I dine out a lot all over the country and I was very happy with the flavor and quality of the meal.
The price was very reasonable.
Our group of 8 had an outstanding experience! The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent.
It was better than I expected. The service was excellent. Very friendly. The food was awesome.
My lamb was cooked perfectly, and the side veggies were as well (not too cooked- al dente). We were checked in twice by the Chef/owner- very personal and friendly touch!
We had a wonderful meal and a great time at Herbal Essence. The owner chose a lovely bottle of Merlot to accompany our entrees. The halibut was so tasty and fresh and the tenderloin was delicious!
We had a delicious dinner and a hard time deciding what to order.
We will definitely be back for dinner and we want to go their for lunch too.
The appetizer was delicious and so was the spring salad. Our entrees were cooked to perfection.
The yummy desserts topped off a great evening.
Our group of four had a good range of foods- salads, appetizers, desserts, and main dishes. The presentation was good the proportions unpretentious. The dining room was not overcrowded or noisy. Service was fine- not cloying but attentive. We stayed late talking and there was no impatience or indication that they wanted us to go at all. Good foods, well-prepared, served hot and fresh and a likable wait staff.
Excellent service Kimberley did a fantastic job .. we throughly loved our dinner and drinks.. thank you
Our server was wonderful-allowed us time to visit while perusing the menu. Slight mix up in the kitchen was handled professionally and with sincere apologies. Without any fanfare, our server picked up on the fact that it was my b-day and showed up with a complimentary slice of delicious cake and extra forks for the table. We'll be back!
Not to shabby. Food was pretty good however a bit pricey for what it was. Beef Wellington was way over priced.
Tasty dishes, artfully presented, close to Performing Arts Center. Kimberley's was excellent -- friendly but professional. Nice selection of wines by glass and bottle. Recommended.
Under new ownership. This delightful downtown restaurant is perfect for a dinner out. The ambience is wonderful. Quiet and cozy. The food is delicious and the service outstanding. Highly recommend you try it out.
I ordered a steak, rare to medium rare. The steak was medium. The cut was very grizzly, tough and absolutely not worth the price. It was supposed to have a huckleberry glaze; it was brown gravy with what looked like but surely didn't taste like huckleberry in this brown gravy. I was very disappointed in the meal. I feel like this place is incredibly over priced for the quality of food offered.
A great find having just googled "spokane salmon restaurant" & liked what I saw on website! Delicious creative foods, & vino, very friendly service, decent pricing, easy to get to! Will return when in the area again!!!
Had dinner before going to Kinky Boots (Broadway play). The dinner was awesome! From the moment we were seated to last bite of desert, the entire dinner was superb. I would highly recommend Herbal Essence Cafe!
Once again, this jewel of a restaurant was delightful. The ambiance is very lovely - from the spice toned walls to the white tablecloths. Our server was on point and had a great sense of humor. Our meals were cooked to perfection. Some of our party ordered the Restaurant Week specials and others chose the regular menu. Steaks were done as ordered along the delicious lamb chops. When the vegetables are perfectly cooked to al dente for a party of 6, you know the kitchen is doing a good job. Try Herbal Essence- I guarantee you will become a regular.
Intimate small restaurant with friendly efficient service and very well prepared and presented entrees.
Great host. Great Brie appetizer and clam chowder soup. Prime rib didn't impress. Waitress forgot horseradish and slow to refill tea. Not enough bread.
We had a lovely time at dinner! The huckleberry steak was to die for . The salmon was amazing too ! then there was the chocolate cake for dessert ... WOW ! Service was fabulous ! Thank you for a great evening !!!!!!
This is my favorite restaurant in downtown Spokane!
Interesting menu, flavorful food and nicely presented. Desert a little too cold but appetizer and main course freshly prepared. Ambiance pleasant enough. Sat next to the aquarium which was in need of a clean. All-in-all a good dinner out.
Are you looking for a place to have a nice dinner? Then this is the place.
This is my favorite restaurant in downtown Spokane. It is close to the INB Center so, a great place to eat before the Broadway shows. The servers go out of their way to make your meal enjoyable. They even remember your favorites. The owner visits each table to make sure your meal is perfect.
Great as always! Enjoyed the pasta special, the Gorgonzola Chicken and the Halibut.
What a charming little café Herbal Essence is! We reserved a table online and it was ready for us in advance of the reserved time, so they seated us immediately and we had drinks within minutes. The waiter was friendly and attentive, the place was spotless (even the restrooms, which isn't always the case with downtown restaurants), and the food was excellent. I had the rosemary-infused spare ribs with gnocchi and lightly sautéed veggies, and the entire meal was terrific. I would gladly recommend this place to any of my friends.
A nice quiet dining environment for friends to gather and always excellent food. I always order the pasta with shrimp dish and it never disappoints.
The eight-course meal did not have a single flaw in it, with each of those courses being very flavorful. Each individual portion is relatively small (compared to other restaurants) but we were glad they were since by the time we got to the desert we were stuffed. Because we were on a business trip we had to limit ourselves to the $25 per person limit, but we did not feel as if the quality of the food or service suffered because of that. I would definitely go back there again the next time I am in Spokane.
A marvelous dining experience within walking distance of many Spokane downtown hotels. Dining alone I was able to find a full service bar for food and drinks. The bartender was great and very helpful regarding food and wine choices. Met the chef who cooks where you can watch. The prawns and linguine were superb and adjusted to meet my special requests. I would definitely visit again, and again.
Lovely food, lovely service. We have eaten here before and came back! They have a full bar with creative cocktails, and a good enough selection of entrees that there is something for everyone. Their citrus glazed salmon makes me happy!
Don't let the name fool you. Great beef wellington. Dessert-tini super
Had a friend-get-together and was able to meet the different food requirements we had due to food allergies, etc. Good service, friendly waitstaff, good food. Surprised waitress did not ask if we wanted dessert (perhaps they don't serve dessert?) but overall favorable impression.
Our favorite Spokane restaurant did it again - luscious food and outstanding service. When I visit I usually order lamb but Copper River salmon was the special. And special it was with a light citrus glaze over a perfectly-sized moist salmon fillet. I would rate this among the best salmon I have ever eaten. My spouse ordered what he always does - chicken gorgonzola. It was a little light on the gorgonzola but delicious none the less. The quiet ambience appeals to us.
Friends gave us a gift certificate, so took the family out for a nice meal. Every aspect of the restaurant was spot on; received excellent service, experienced great food - the Beef Wellington was perfect - just a very enjoyable experience. Will be back soon👌
We were both impressed by the atmosphere and the food. The food was very good. The atmosphere was very nice, but not stuffy. The waiter very engaging and knowledgeable about the menu. The dessert was to die for!
The service started out spectacular, but then fell off...he forgot several of things asked for: coffee, a clean spoon for dessert, and we waited 15 minutes after we asked for the check.
My friends and I only eat at Herbal Essence. The service is outstanding and the food is excellent! They have an award winning salad that makes your tastebuds hum!
It's been our local favorite for the last 3-years ever since we moved to Spokane from Northern California. Great local find!
We were in town on business for a couple days and found Herbal Essence on Open Table. It was a slow night for them, but the meal was very good, and I liked their menu. The service was well personalized and attentive. The only drawback was their dining chairs. They're a basic wood dining chair, and they're not very comfortable.
The food was just fine, but the service was excellent.
