We had an excellent dinner celebrating my wife's birthday and would absolutely go back again. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed unique food options with flavor combinations I would not have expected (i.e. the roasted carrots). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a higher end, high quality dinner to celebrate.

The food was great. They had heaters and great defor. A little loud at times but not enough to make you upset or keep you from having a nice conversation.

Herb and Wood was a lovely birthday experience for my husband's birthday. He really enjoyed their specialty cocktails . He had the oxtail gnochhi dish which was delicious and rich. I had the seabass which was very refreshing and delicious. We also ordered a side of the grilled cauliflower. We would definitely recommend and come again.

We had a fantastic time at Herb and Wood on Feb 8! I was back in town to visit friends from when I lived in SD. The food was awesome (we ordered the venison, bucatini and the mafalde lobster, apps were cauliflower hummus toast and the clams). Th service was impeccable and our server was excellent. Good variety of wines and cocktails. It was definitely a special treat for us!

Overall - food and dining was great. Was crowded - table spacing is very close together (feel like you are sitting with your neighbor rather than separate tables) and noise level was very high. Lighting was very dim and made it difficult to read the menu.

Service - seemed a little difficult to get attention of server at times but wasn't terrible.

I love everything about Herb & Wood! I love their way with vegetables. Even though I am not a vegetarian I always make sure one of our share plates is one of their vegetable dishes. The Cauliflower hummus toast was also amazing! We liked a wine by the glass and asked if we could get a bottle and our server was so obliging!

Great find in Little Italy. Our main courses (venison and the filet) were both outstanding. Cozy table for two. Our server was perfect, always available and professional. Wine prices relative to retail were fair. There were not many cheaper options below $50, however. My scallop appetizer was the only thing that was not top notch. It was good but not great. We would definitely go back.

I went on a Monday for dinner and had a wonderful experience. We had the scallops and smoked salmon appetizers and the branzino, duck, and venison for main dishes. For dessert we had the soufflé. All of the food was superb but I have to say that the duck was amazing and the soufflé was perfect. They also have a great bar with a nice selection of cocktails. Service was very prompt and attentive. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

Oh my G! Is the manager an Assh...? And the hostesses!! All the owner’s efforts to ruin a business. They are there standing and judging people like if they had the best job on earth. We sat, no other tables had food on their tables or were eating, no waiters were on the floor for more than 5 minutes. we walked away. Do you think these 3 morons would say or do anything???talking among themselves. Just a shame for the owners. Money flying out the window...

Super cute restaurant with lots of open lighting and beautiful ambience. The food was pretty good, and the tables are spaced out, allowing easy communication. It's great for small groups and especially good for brunch.

Overall a meal better than cooking at home. Great atmosphere and cocktails. Servers appear very rushed and you could sense tension with the front of house manager. I would go back for drinks but choose a dinner experience someplace else.

The decor at Herb & Wood is beautiful. It’s a lovely place to eat and enjoy time with friends.

I made reservations here based on recommendations from friends but found my food experience to be a bit blasé.

The service and friendliness of the staff was a standout as I’d had a lot of bad experiences at restaurants earlier that day, so it was refreshing to be treated so well.

The food itself wasn’t impressive but did taste good. In particular I was disappointed with the whole branzino which I ordered. Despite having a lemon herb stuffing, an olive tapenade and being wrapped in Speck, I found it to be bland and under seasoned. It was lacking in flavor and that was really unfortunate.

My friend had the grilled Iberico pork, which in contrast to my dish, was a triumph. It was rich and tender and flavorful.

Overall the experience was fine. I would come back but it’s not somewhere I’d return to unless someone else really wanted to try it.

We were traveling on business from Boston and decided to spend a couple extra days. We read some great things about this place online and booked a reservation. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is inviting and lively. We started with a top notch drink at the bar and then sat for dinner. The apps, entrees, and pizza were all great. The peanut butter and chocolate dessert is not to be missed. So good! Despite how much we loved Herb & Wood overall, the service was even better. Our server, Tara, was nothing short of excellent. We eat out frequently and she has been the best we have had since we can remember. Don’t wait to try it yourself!

To tell you truth, menu has a good selection of choices good for foodie who likes a little variety. But the premium price we payed for it was little too steep. My only explanation was the high price was attributed to a such luxurious interior design. Overall we had a good time trying this new hot spot but I do not think I will be back again.

Lovely Sunday brunch for my birthday with a terrific waitress and great food. Would love it if in the future you would consider a gluten free roll or slice of bread or focaccia. Can your pizza dough be made into a small bread offering with your fabulous omelette or a salad? We will be back again soon as we really enjoyed your restaurant. Thanks!

I brought my mom and dad here for my mom's birthday brunch and it was a hit with everyone, including my dad who is kind of picky 99% of the time. We all enjoyed the French Onion Omelet, as well as the Monkey Bread, immensely. The breakfast pizza was great and my dad was amazingly pleased with how much bacon they put on the BLT. The portions are good for the price and I highly recommend choosing out a few things and splitting them.

The service was excellent and everyone was very attentive, from the hostess to the waiters to the bussers to the manager. Our drinks were never empty (which is huge for my dad) and they were all incredibly helpful with any questions we had.
