About Henry's Restaurant
HENRY's is a modern American bistro located on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Our gracious and spacious Dining Room, Bar and Sidewalk Cafe are designed after the Arts & Crafts masterpiece, the Gamble House with mahogany wainscoting and French doors. The walls are filled with bright, food-themed poster art from the Herman Miller Company's Summer Picnic series. HENRY's is the restaurant that one of New York's greatest neighborhoods deserves. We serve an extensive menu of contemporary American bistro food for Lunch, Brunch, Dinner and Late Night. Our bar offers an all-American wine program based on the discovery of delicious wines at accessible prices. We serve an exciting cocktail list, bottled beer on ice and fresh craft beers. HENRY's management and staff meet here every day of the year (except Christmas) to offer our loyal Guests the gift of our work and the value of our experience. We offer great food and beverage at a reasonable price with healthy portions of abundant service.

There is ample on street parking around HENRY's. The bad news is that the parking meters are expensive (25¢ per 10 minutes!) and need to be fed 'til 10pm. Please be aware that the city is very diligent about ticketing. The good news is that we have plenty of quarters available at the bar and we would be happy to run out to feed your meter. We don't want to interrupt your meal. Oh, and on Sundays the meters do not need feeding so come enjoy our bountiful Upper West Side Brunch in peace.
The West Side IRT (#'s 1 & 9 trains) stop at 103rd and 110th Streets. HENRY's is a three minute walk from the 103rd Street stop and a five minute walk from the 110th Street stop. The M104, the M116 and the famous LaGuardia Airport bus, the M60 stop at 106th and Broadway putting you right on our block.

Henry's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Love going to Henry’s, as always. The food is terrific and I love the ambience. Service has gone down, however: our waiter forgot to bring bread till we asked, forgot my husband’s beer totally, and other waiters too lacked focus - are they being trained enough? Waiters used to be skilled, attentive, and customer- oriented - even delightfully friendly.
Henry's is the best restaurant in my neighborhood. The place is pleasant and comfortable, and the food is always very well prepared. The service is cordial and efficient, though at times a little slow. Over all, to eat there is a very satisfactory experience.
Interesting menu but some what pricey for a casual meal at a neighborhood joint. We were a bit taken a back to see that wine was $14/glass . However, our food was excellent and very well prepared. I had a shrimp and linguini entree with olives, broccoli rabe and pesto in a light white wine better sauce which was excellent--light and tasty. My friend enjoyed her hamburger which looked thick and juicy. Although I rarely order hamburgers when eating out, this looked so good I am temped to order one next rime I am here. Service was good--waiters were attentive but not intrusive, The tables are relatively well-spaced for a Manhattan restaurant; however when the restaurant is full (it often attracts families with children and largish parties) it can be noisy. However, the night were there, the restaurant was blissfully empty and quiet
Went for a nice neighborhood quite brunch- my dad and bros bday - was happy to have a table to accommodate all 8 of us. We bumped into a cousin of ours and invited her to pull up a chair with her baby son- she wasn't going to stay - only chat. The hostess felt the need to come over and let us know that she thought by having the additional person/half it would be "encroaching" on the other diners experience.... Meanwhile the table behind us had 42 people with infants, babies, kids, teens, adults, and elderly people. The meal was good - the hostess word choice was inappropriate. Easy fix/ be nice people. Life is short - chillax.
Really nice atmosphere. Music playing at level where people at table did not have to yell to be heard. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was excellent. The place was busy but still left plenty of room between tables so that one does not get banged into by fellow diners or wait staff. Overall, just the experience we were looking for.
I love Henry's but, forgive me, not so much when there's music, even lovely music. I go to Henry's for peace and quiet. I can't fault them for wanting to provide fine entertainment for their guests, but there were fewer folks than usual this past Saturday -- this is a very popular neighborhood place and we all want to support it -- and I kept wondering whether the music was just a little too loud. It's generally my favorite place to take my friends, so I am not discouraged. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if I were in the minority. The food was good as was the service.
Henry's is amazing. The perfect neighborhood eatery with a wonderfully diverse menu and incredible service. Delicious food and great place to enjoy meals with friends. Service is spectacular and both Henry and our server Randy made the evening even more special! Thank you!!1
Still best ambiance for a dinner with friends, able to converse through the meal.
However, service is slipping, with orders left incomplete, overall quite slow, drink orders forgotten, lengthy periods of time when no server approached our table (making it impossible to have oversights corrected), charges on tab for items that were not served even though ordered.
Also I thought some of the food was too salty.
We love Henry's! It's such an asset to the neighborhood. Henry's has good food and a friendly ambiance. It also has lots of space, which means that one can hear a conversation. There's a pleasant background buzz; it's not that it's silent. The noise level is just perfect!
We often stop in and eat at the bar, and we really enjoy that as well. Another plus: Henry's serves food from lunch time through midnight (or sometimes beyond). Sure, the "in between" menu is more limited, but it's a great option for an afternoon bite.
Overall: great place!
Reliable UWS fixture, great selection, good wine list, reasonable prices. The food is always very good and the service matches it. We met our grown children at Henry's for dinner on a Sunday evening, early. We've always enjoyed the food and tonight was no exception: delicious steaks with the best fries in town, a remarkably tasty kale salad with salmon, great pasta choices and excellent soups. The place was understaffed and yet the manager, hostess, bus people - everybody, really - covered well and things only really slowed down at dessert, when the place was packed. Henry's is very well run, both the kitchen and the dining room (I need to spend more time at the bar to comment there.) We all agreed, we'd be back.
Love this local restaurant however we were there on one of the coldest days of the year and when we asked that they turn up the heat they apologized explaining it was in the process of being repaired. While the food and ambiance are wonderful we were very cold and I comfortable the entire time. An offer to Comp us for tea or coffee or something would have been a nice gesture.
As native nyc residents having decided not to travel for New Year’s Eve this year, we were looking for somewhere new to go for a nice dinner removed from the Times Square crowds. Henry’s came up on Open Table and the fine line between comfy atmosphere and special occasion appealed to us. The staff were super kind and the food was absolutely delicious. Fun ambiance- not too stuffy but still classy. Although the prix fixe menu looked tempting, we opted for the a la carte so we could share a variety of dishes. While we enjoyed everything, we Highly recommend the ratatouille and chocolate hazelnut mousse if they are available when you visit. Very nice start to our New Year’s Eve.
I particularly enjoy dinner at Henry's; the chef is excellent and the food properly prepared and presented. The wait staff is knowledgeable and helpful and courteous. The atmosphere is conductive to a pleasant conversational tone without much noise to stifle thought. We've been coming since the place opened almost 20 years ago and will kp coming as long as it maintains its high standards.
The food was good. 2 in our party had the special, sea bass. Delicious. Another had the lamb shank. Service not as good. Waiter was unable to place close attention to us. He had a table of 8 and we needed to wave and call out to him to get Service. Overall plenty of space, less noise than most restaurants. Good quality food. Service needs to improve.
You could not find a friendlier staff than the staff at Henry’s on 105th St. and Broadway.
The food was good and the prices reasonable. This is a spacious casual dining venue. It is well- lit, which allows you to enjoy and admire the poster art on the walls.
New we’re there on a cold, snowy night, and once inside, we were warmed by the hot buttered rum, hoity toddy, and the warm welcome we received. Thanks, Henry!
I live right across the street and have been coming to Henry's since the very first day they opened. There have been ups and downs, but overall the food is good, the service is good and the friends and business associates that I have brought all like it.
I had a lot of meetings this week and was at Henry's with clients, 5 times this past week. Have to say that the last 2 evenings the food was way over salted, but that is unusual.
