New Year's Eve Special Menus & Offers
We are offering a New Year's Eve Prix Fix menu. It is $90 per person and will include appetizer, dinner and dessert. Due to our limited indoor seating and lack of waiting area, we are asking you to limit your visit to 2 hours from the scheduled time of your reservation.
I had the grilled vegetables and the Veal Lemonese. Both were excellent, and in fact the veal (a breaded cutlet with a lemon cream sauce) was extraordinary - actually perfect. I think it is the best version of this dish that I have ever had. We sat outside. Service was a bit uneven - the waiter told us that we had to order all at once, rather than get an appetizer to eat while we decided on main courses. That seemed a bit customer unfriendly for a moderately pricey place. We had to ask for little plates to share the appetizer and knives for our main courses. But the servers were lovely to us -- they were just a bit disorganized.
We have eaten here many times in the past, but this is the first time since the shutdown. I'm not sure exactly why, but everything about our experience last night was better than it's ever been. The food, the ambience, the service . . . everything! I ordered the elk chops which were absolutely the most perfectly cooked I've ever had them! I also ordered the amazing grilled wedge salad (grilled radicchio) and a mud pie on either end of our entree. Perfection!!! My husband was really pleased with the curried pea soup, the venison osso bucco, and the tiramisu. I love this Brooklyn institution and I am so happy that it seems to have survived the shutdown better than ever.
The staff is competent and the food is, as usual, top notch!! We had the sole with lobster, which was filled with lobster and the veal marsala with mushrooms, which could have had a few more mushrooms. They were both excellent.
Excellent food and great service
Greeted & seated immediately. Henry’s End is a favorite of ours, they do not disappoint. Mic to have choices like turtle soup and rabbit ragu, both excellent. We will return on regular basis
Great game menu! Fish was done perfectly and service very attentive without being obtrusive .
My girlfriends and I enjoyed a great evening with excellent food and friendly service. The tuna was delicious and mud pie for dessert was heaven. We stayed until closing and never felt rushed.
My first time at the restaurant. We sat indoors in a corner, which masked a little of the noise.
The food was delicious, but the service was very slow. We waited about an hour to receive our entrees.
Well sourced and varied menu. Special kudos for the various duck and fish choices . We feel lucky to have such consistently fine food in the neighborhood.
A friendly neighborhood place that is welcoming. Mark is always kind and thoughtful in his interactions.
The staff couldn't have been nicer. Diverse menu - something for everyone
Such great service. We always feel at home. Albert is the best!
First visit, my experience lived up to it's reputation, outstanding neighborhood gem. Only suggestion is to add more ambiance to outside dining, tea lights and flowers 💐
Good was great. Wine list is awesome; if you’re a fan of old wine, it might be the best is the city.
Service and food were great. Highly recommend. We’ll be back
While we have enjoyed several wonderful meals at Henry’s End (fried chicken in particular) all reserved through Open Table, this was the time my phone was put onto DO NOT DISTURB mode without my permission, I was notified. I am not sure whether it was done by the restaurant or Open Table. I did not appreciate this feature.
Friendly greeting, excellent service and absolutely divine food! What more could you ask for? I had the Steak au Poivre and good bar squash. Wow. Order the squash - you will not be disappointed! Also finish off with the Mrs. Mud Pie. Yummy!
I've been going to Henry's End for many years and have never been disappointed. Pleased to see new choices on the menu. Service is always terrific.
Great as always!
Feels like a second home
Food was great as always
THE BEST IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. I always get the marsala.
My favorite restaurant in Brooklyn heights.
Loved the special stuffed squash blossoms and stuffed chicken entree with fig
We opted to sit outside because of Covid but it's a very busy street and the traffic is noisy. Not their fault obviously. That said, we haf an enjoyable meal including tuna crudo, stuffed squash blossom, duck braised with mushrooms and a shrimp dish. The server was very nice and attentive.
We have been coming here for birthdays and anniversary’s for 6-7 years. We loved the old location and love the new one as well. The food is expertly made, the service is exquisite and you leave feeling genuinely happy. I’m so glad COVID didn’t kill this place. We will be going there 3-4 times a year until we die or it shuts down. Thank you!
Great food, friendly service, reasonable pricing. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area :)
I lived in Brooklyn Heights, NY years ago and didn't have the money to eat at Henry's End. I went to visit a friend in Brooklyn Heights last night and I thought "Now's the time!"
The best thing about my experience was the service. I have food allergies, and they were infinitely patient and solicitous about it. They gave us clean cutlery, too: not so common, even in higher-bracket restaurants. The food - well, the gazpacho was good, the mushroom salad was tasty - if a little "chewy," the restaurant-made focaccia was tasteless, and some of the tuna on the grilled tuna-with-capers, etc. plate tasted off - and I knew because some of it tasted good (although I'm more of a big-flavor person). The seating was on a sidewalk with no covering (the outdoor-under canopy was ugly, the restaurant's music was too loud): we were very happy to be in pretty B.H., and that the rains of soon-to-begin Tropical Storm Henri (ironic, right?) didn't hit early. My bill, without wine or dessert, came to $65.00 before tip. (I left 20% - only because the service was outstanding and the people really cared. My father was a very demanding maitre-d' at a very swanky caterer in NY and I worked with him through my high school and college years so I understand good service.) They accommodated a split check with 2 credit cards.
Great menu, wine list and staff! Henry's End continues to set the bar high and they never disappoint.
outstanding. we have been clients first over 30 years and will continue to recommend.
Always the best !
This food was excellent. I had the chicken with andouille sausage. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the pecan crusted chicken which she throughly enjoyed. The service was excellent. Very nice neighborhood place.
I think the kitchen had an off night. Happens to all the best restaurants
This is a hidden gem in NYC! Definitely worth the trip to Brooklyn Heights!
Like the new location & outside seating
I have. Been going to Henry’s End for the last 40 years and it never disappoints me !
Our waiter was great! :-)
Wonderful waitress , delicious food and loved sitting outside
Superb service. Loved the encrusted goat cheese! Best cappuccino.
I will always miss the old venue down the road with permanent heartache, but they still do a good job in a more pedestrian space.
Really good waitstaff. Tables outside are on a bit of a slope, and seats are a bit uncomfortable--could use some cushions. Chewy spinach. But the rest of the food was great.
Very good food combined with a good staff. Everyone was helping out. But it's not cheap. It is very good though and has unusual dished you won't find everywhere.
The staff at Henry’s were gracious and professional, and knowledgeably answered questions about the menu. Cocktails were expertly prepared. The menu was replete with excellent choices, including many clearly marked as gluten-free. I was so glad to be able to sample some of the game that the restaurant is famous for—duckling with spicy mole. The ample mole was rich and complex, pooled under a deboned half-duck that was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. One could not ask more from such a dish. The grilled asparagus side was perfectly prepared—not too crispy, not wilting, and responded to the knife. Chocolate mousse and a cup of cappuccino for dessert was the perfect ending. We’ll be back!
