New England classics and comfort food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Always reliable.
Excellent food and poor service. Entries were served before wine was corked.
Cheerful mood, set by life size perky pig sculpture at entrance. The chef's charming gingerbread house also greeted us. Nice service, interesting menu, and delicious choices, though my chicken club was just ok, a little messy. The chili and the special turkey grilled sandwich of the day were terrific, as was the apple pie and ice cream, plus the chocolate bread pudding was yummy. A nice place to meet friends.
I have been coming to Henrietta's Table every 4-6 weeks with my cousin for years. The food has never disappointed and the wait staff are usually very friendly and professional.
I thought it was going to be a little smaller. More home-like feeling. I have been to so many so called fancy restaurants before that I wanted something different. But unfortunately it was just the same. The food was ok but the pork chops were room temp and kind of tough. The roast beef was great along with the swordfish. Service was ok but again wanted something different. It was kind of hard to find; being that it was inside the hotel with no signs saying this but I was able to find it eventually in the cold dark Cambridge air. Over all it was ok, wished it had been a little different experience but ok. It remained me of Hamersley's Bistro in a way. Also good and bad at the same time.
very comfortable, pleasant place with good food and good service.
2 dollars discount for the garage parking? should be free, this is an expensive restaurant without parking benefits.
The service was excellent. I recommend the Sirloin Steak and the Chowder.
Lovely lunch food and setting for special occasions
We both ordered different featured specials on the menu. Everything was outstanding, fresh with perfect seasoning, and exquisite presentation.
Dinner was disappointing. Service was attentive, bread basket is always good but wine, corn crab chowder( tasted old and dried out), Brussel sprouts were steamed, whole and boring, scrod was good, spinach salad good but pecans had an unpleasant spice that permeated the salad. Wish we had a better meal that night.
My husband and I had a good meal as a last minute decision to eat at Henrietta's Table since we were in Cambridge any way. I had the Sole and he had the Roast Chicken. They were both good and what we expected. Service was good but a bit rushed like they wanted the table. Dessert was very good; gingerbread cheesecake and chocolate bread pudding. We will be back to Henrietta's Table again.
We where sat and ignored. After a while the hostess who sat us asked if we where ready to order. No menus, not an offer for a drink, no explanation of the paperwork left on the table about wine and cheese (which was a big production at another table). A waiter finally took our drink order, never saw him again, someone else brought our drinks and by the melted ice they had clearly been sitting at the bar.
A waitress started to give us a little attention, but no one bothered to bus the table between appetizers and then he main course, really sloppy. I have been here many times, never had this kind of treatment.
The food was good, and served hot, a good point for sure.
Excellent jazz performance Ben Wendel.
I’ve eaten at Henrietta’s numerous times, usually for lunch, and it has always been very tasty. Unfortunately, this time my experience was not as good, perhaps because it was a very busy night.
The dressing on the field greens salad was surprisingly bland and unseasoned. Service was less satisfactory too. For one thing, our waiter couldn't have moved faster if he was on roller skates. At moments it felt abrupt. Also, I shared allergy info but didn’t get the feedback which is necessary to know if a selected dish is safe for my child. Again, the waiter seemed rushed - and that can be very risky for a food allergic person. Usually the manager or staff comes to my table to discuss the allergens. This time when the waiter took the list of allergens to the kitchen he didn’t follow up with me nor did anyone else. I had to get up from the table to ask if the chosen entree contained allergens. This is shocking service where the safety of a child is at stake. I expected more from Henrietta’s, but no more than I expect from any other restaurant, so I was sadly surprised by this experience.
Chicken pieces in pot pie just torn shreds & full of gristle, no sign of vegetables.
Friends chowder just big chunks of potatoes. Pate dry & hard.
Very disappointing, for we 6 remember when food there was fine.
Thanksgiving dinner was exceptional. Wonderful variety, attentive staff, and an overall delightful experience!
We went on Thanksging which was a buffet witch was a mistake on our part as one of uses a walker. It was quite crowded but overly so. The service was not very good. It took some one 10 minutes to come to,our table to see if we wanted many to drink and to tell us how to proceed.
They were not particularly helpful considering one of us was on a walker.
The valet service was terrific.
The Thanksgiving buffet had a huge range of choices. Overall, the food was good, not great. At $100/ per person, I was hoping for better food. Nothing very special.
Thanksgiving Dinner. 5th year having our Thanksgiving at Henrietta’s Table It was wonderful and as exciting as our very first time. We will continue to return every year !! Keep up the wonderful holiday tradition
Enjoyed it. Great food. The space could use a little upgrading. Bit drafty where we sat.
Concert percect prelude to a jazz event
The food was good but we had multiple waiters. No one took our drink order. We wanted leftovers boxed up but they lost it! So they replaced it with a full order. When we got home we realized we had no idea what they boxed up for us. Some random dish. Boo.
Service was slow. Food served almost immediately after we finally placed our orders, makes me think it was sitting there waiting to be served. Not very attentive. Pretty expensive. For the food and experience. $26 entree plus $5 side equals an expensive dinner where there was a lot of gravy and it didn’t feel made to order.
Heather ‘s Table never disappoints. Great service. No turnover pressure. Fresh, healthy food deliciously prepared. My favorite go to lunch place in Harvard Square.
Always a pleasure; fresh, beautifully prepared food served by lovely people. a restaurant that always makes you feel welcome!
We had just a little time between concerts on our anniversary. Henrietta's Table fit the bill perfectly. We had delicious food, kind service, and a quick meal. It could not have been better.
The Sunday brunch is impressive, the choice and the quality of the buffet are exceptional. The service is professional and efficient. A place to go and to return.
Excellent as always
The service was terrible. We asked to place drink orders and the waiter walked away. When we flagged down another and placed our order, they took 15-20 minutes to arrive. The food was very lackluster and I couldn’t eat the dessert at all as I am allergic to chocolate and the dessert heavily featured chocolate despite not having chocolate anywhere in the description.
Service was poor as literally had to flag down and ask for everything (drinks, order, check) and waiter did not know anything about the wine list.
We ordered standard fare (BLT, salmon burgers, turkey clubs, etc.) that were absolutely superb. Fresh, perfect. Even the bed of lettuce was spritely and had a fresh-picked look and taste. The sauce on my salmon burger appeared to have been made just before serving. We appreciated the description of the bread in the bread basket which made you feel like an insider. Great all around experience.
I always enjoy a restaurant with local ingredients, presented creatively.
Good food, but a bit overpriced....$28.00 for 2 crabcakes!!!! They were delicious and the thing I most wanted on the menu...but really!
The restaurant has a nice ambiance with a comfortable setting overlooking the courtyard during the early fall season. The veteran wait staff contributes to the dining experience. Overall the food was well prepared, my spouse and I wished that there were more variety, particularly at the carving station. The cheese and dessert stations had ample choices and the signature cocktails were excellent as always. Would recommend this restaurant to acquaintances.
Service was indifferent. Took forever for drinks to arrive. Appetizers and entrées lacked depth and complexity. Kids’ Mac & Cheese was Kraft or similar, another unwelcome surprise.
The waiter/server disappeared, never filled the water glasses, instructed the servicer that one person in the party had a gluten allergy and they didn't acknowledge it nor could they make recommendations on what this person could order. The menu was limited.
I love Henrietta's Table- it's awesome and delicious to dine there!
A fine place, congenial as well as good food and friendly, considerate service.
Great evening at Henrietta's Table. Paired with a show at the Regattabar, makes for a great evening!
HT is always our favorite choice for our favorite people.
