Drinks were horrible. Everything took forever. Food was good but wouldn’t go back
This is a good spot, I have been twice now and would visit again.
Nice to be back in Harvard S. Cambridge. Haven't eaten out these past 8 months due to pandemic. Henrietta's is just as I remember it, maybe a more limited menu for the time being. Will be returning regularly as had done for over a decade before the issues. The server seemed poorly trained, but we did see some familiar faces.
They are still doing a great job at Henrietta's table. We have been twice in the month of February and both were great visits with very personable waitstaff and excellent food. Also tables were widely spread to avoid contagion and so the atmosphere was quite peaceful. :-)
Menu choices have changed and not for the better. Food was not great and service was awful which is worrying as it wasn’t busy.
Everything felt very COVID-safe!! Tables were spaced out and servers were great.
When choosing a restaurant to dine at- Henrietta’s Table is a perfect option. The food is outstanding, the servers & staff are kind and it felt very safe/clean. We had a wonderful dinner experience there!
I really REALLY miss the Brunch of years past...but the food was absolutely delicious. The menu was limited for sure...I would have loved if even brunch items such as Belgian waffles, omelettes, bagels and lox...something reminiscent of the buffet was available to order.
Excellent service. Service staff and patrons were all respecting COVID guidelines. Tables were well-spaced out in accordance with state guidelines.
Food was excellent, as always.
Unfortunately the food was not as good as expected. Fine to pop in for a quick bite but not a sit down restaurant type of place.
Had a late breakfast on a weekday. Other diners were very far away from us so although we were inside, we felt comfortably alone. Large menu with many options, everything was well-prepared.
One of our favorite restaurant around Boston. We miss the crowds.
Very enjoyable experience! The bread pudding is amazing.
THE HOSTESS WAS THE RUDEST, MOST NEGATIVE HUMAN.
WAITER DID MOT COME FOR SOME TIME SO WE LEFT. WILL NOT GO BACK.
They’re handling the CV19 situation superbly — felt v safe and v well served there. Will make it my go to venue during this pandemic (and use it as much or more as I did before when it’s over).
The experience was perfect! We went for lunch and the meals were delicious. The portions were much larger than I expected for lunch. The scrod with potatoes arrived pipping hot and was absolutely so fresh and tasty. I'm finicky with fish dishes - the scrod tasted like it just came out of the sea. My companion had the BLT - the bacon is the best I've ever tasted. Coffee was the perfect finale.
Service was exactly as it should be - present but not bothersome.
I'll be back - next time for dinner!
Very welcoming, the food tasted amazing...The portion sizes are good, shareable items for sure.
Consistently awesome every time we go for breakfast or lunch
Breakfast was excellent as always. The staff does an incredible job maintaining safety during COVID without giving up an inch of service or quality.
We chose the place specifically because of the availability of heat lamps. The staff didn’t even know how to operate them. We ended up having to figure it out on our own. Very unhelpful and poor hospitality in general; we had to keep going inside to remind them to extend their service. Avoidable !
Henriettas table , Realy takes the time to treat you exceptional with how crazy the world has become . Wonderful waitstaff , wonderful food . Great Ambience !
Even took home leftovers !
A great ThanksGiving Feast !!
Did i leave my brown/ black floral mask, by chance?
The outdoor ambiance was excellent and is consistently. It is a beautiful place to sit outdoors and enjoy good food in the company of friends.
As always, the food was delicious, and the service very good. A great outdoor option.
We dined at outside patio on 11.7.20. Since it gets dark earlier, it was very dark at the table, they should add more outdoor lights. I could not see my plate of food very well as I ate. I had the special fish, and was just okay. Could have used a touch more seasoning, overall the night needed a little more pizazzzzzzzzzz!!!
We had a perfect dinning experience ..ate on the patio. The food was fabulous salad..chowder and the swordfish were wonderful. The chocalte desert was a bit disappointing ..it tasted a little burned..served with vanilla ice cream & topped with 2 mint leaves. The parking ticket was validated by the restaurant so the cost was only $10.
Very nice ambience and well spaced for Covid time. Thank you!!!
Chilly but we were accommodated with a table near a heater. The young woman moved us. Thank you!
Service fine but we would have liked to have our orders taken sooner.
Another fine meal. Sat inside this time. Tables and booths are spaced far apart for protocols. It all felt very safe.
Terrific outside dining. Safe, distant, umbrellas and heaters— and no busses.
Staff super nice but not intrusive.
On top of that the food was good— interesting without being weird, and reasonably sized portions.
Just hoping too many people do not read this, so I can get a table there again.
Henrietta's Table has always offered our favorite breakfast, so it's especially gratifying to know that we can have a wonderful, leisurely, delicious, and SAFE experience on the back patio. During these challenging times, we truly appreciate everyone there who continues to make this a special experience.
To date, I’ve always had a great and reliable experience at Henriettas Table. Unfortunately that was not the case yesterday. We had a beautiful table outside but the food was mediocre and the service was poor. Our meals arrived before our drinks. Our server never returned to check on us, the menu was very limited, and we had to ask the host ( who was standing directly next to our table) to find our server. We also had to flag down another server to get the check. It was disappointing.
Horrible experience. We had a reservation, and we specified "outdoor seating only". When we arrived at the correct time, we were told there were no seats outdoors, and we were welcome to sit indoors. The hostess was overwhelmed, but the net effect was rudeness and a refusal to serve us.
We asked to talk to the manager, and then the chef called us, but they were not willing to make it up to us in any way, and didn't even apologize.
It was a very quiet and sort of empty restaurant. Everything was delicious with great service. Sorry for the slow business.
We have been to Henrietta's many times in the past and loved it. The staff was great and the social distancing was great. But I don't know if they got a new chef or had to let go of the old one- because the pot roast I had was dried out and the gravy tasted like an over salted bullion cube, no depth of flavors. My friend has the roast chicken because I said it was great, I think she was ok with it. I hope that when COVID is over, Henrietta's will go back to the amazing impressive food we have had previously. I can't fault the service it was excellent. But I think things were just phoned in- and I was hoping for the same deep built sauces and excellent tasty meat of pre-covid. Cocktails were also very good. I hate to write a bad review but I hope this inspires them to know people care about Henrietta's and want to see it around for a long time.
Used to be reliably good, well-prepared food and excellent service.
On our most recent visit, we had a few surprises. 'Romaine salad with creamy garlic dressing' was actually a Caesar, loaded with anchovy paste in the dressing. This is fine, but the menu should be more clear. A vegetarian in our party ordered this, since it was not labeled as 'Caesar'; we realized once it arrived that it was not vegetarian. Replaced with a different salad that did not come out until everyone else was finished. For the main, the same vegetarian ordered the grain bowl with tofu. Runner dropped the plates and left. We immediately realized he'd delivered a grain bowl with chicken. By the time we could flag down the server and wait for the meal to be re-made, everyone else was completely finished. No attempt was made to compensate for either of these problems. Another diner ordered the steak of the night, a 'sirloin' -- was fatty and tough -- and for the price should have been a proper NY strip.
Next time we'll go to Benedetto instead, which is right next door, and much better food for a similar price.
Our food was outstanding.
Not enough vegan options/accommodations, if any. Offering fruit plate as the vegan breakfast was disappointing to say the least.
Great outdoor dining. Hopefully they’ll have gas lamps so they can continue into the colder weather.
