The food was fresh and delicious and the ambience is perfect for a brunch get together. The service was a little disappointing as we had to ask for more coffee on servers occasions, our bread didn’t arrive until wed almost finished..it was forgotten and we had a total of 4 difference servers!
I've eaten many meals at Henrietta's Table over the years, and this was the first time I've been disappointed -- not in the food, which was up to the usual high standards, but in the service. No one server was assigned to our table, and if we needed anything we had to flag down someone and ask for it. No ever came to our table to ask if all was well or whether we needed anything -- and there was a lot we needed over the course of the evening. I'll probably go back again but if the service is this bad again I likely won't return.
Henrietta’s Table never disappoints. Interesting menu, well prepared and great service.
Excellent food and service. Can't go wrong
The waiter was so good at what He does and the chefs did an amazing job.
Relaxed and not rushed.
We all had a memorable time
A little slow when we were done with the food. We wanted to order dessert but gave up and asked for the ticket to a random server. Food was good and didn’t wait for the food much. The cheese portions could be a lot more generous given the price but maybe it is expected
What a delicious, beautiful meal with superb service! We were two vegetarians and one meat eater and everyone was so happy! From their special breads, salads, amazing main courses to the best vegan desert . We had a amazing dinner! Great prices ! The cheese platter is a most! Will be back for sure! Great atmosphere!
Henrietta's Table was very good and innovative when it first opened. My husband and I hadn't been there in years, and we had high expectations. The food was at best perfunctory. For example, my salad had good ingredients, but it was swimming in dressing and the portobello mushroom cap in the middle was cold with congealed cheese on top. The waiter was a sweet kid, but clearly new to the job and the restaurant. Also—this may seem petty—but they've taken the sourcing information off the menu. For a farm-to-table restaurant, this seems very strange. Plus I miss seeing the names of the farms I'm familiar with. The restaurant seems to be in a slump.
I am at a loss for words, wait AWESOME comes to mind. The main meals were great!
We make better and fresher salads at home, but all the goods are picked about 10 minutes before the meal.
Had an excellent meal at Henrietta's Table! Everything was delicious, with generous portions and creative combinations. Strawberry shortcake for dessert was one of the best I've ever had!
I’ve been waiting for years to eat at Henrietta’s Table. I was so excited to finally be bringing my mother in law and sister in law for lunch on Saturday. The server came over before we settled in and did not return for our drink order for at least 20 minutes. By the time she returned, we had selected our meals and placed those orders, too. The food came before the drinks and had no wow-factor whatsoever. I don’t think I’ll be back.
The lamb dish ordered by my wife was fatty and almost inedible. It was replaced by a piece of tasteless salmon with nothing else on the plate. Very disappointing.
Lovely airy setting with attentive service
Chocolate bread pudding sundae delicious!
Staff are responsive, efficient and friendly
My salmon was delicious but my husband thought the pot roast to be only OK
Generally I find the food to be good
Close to the ART which is useful
This is a fantastic restaurant. The service is splendid and the food is delish and quick. I truly enjoy every visit! Thanks.
We went for a weekday breakfast--Great eggs benedict. Excellent and bottomless coffee. Super service.
Food is good, but Service is very bad
My girl friends and I came up for a concert and were so excited to try this restaurant in our hotel. I made reservations ahead of time just to make sure we could get a table. We make it down to the restaurant and we are seated and with not much room from the next table . The waitress comes over and gets our drink order and they fill our waters. I had to finally ask for a menu because they never said anything to us what was going on. The waitress finally told us oh its brunch today, we said ok but we wanted to order off then menu the website didn't say it was brunch today on a Saturday at 2pm. So we then asked how much brunch was and was told it was $55 per person. We told her I am sorry we are not staying. I wish your website would tell your customers what you are having at that particular time because you just wasted our time and your staffs time. You could have had another guest there that wanted that spot that would have paid $55 a person.
Very welcoming and comfortable place with a varied and interesting menu. Casual, attentive service and nice drink menu. Recommended!
Disappointing food, spotty service, expensive for a meh experience
I’ve been here maybe a dozen times over a 10 year span. It has never been less than excellent. The Sunday Brunch legendary.
Reunion dinner! We loved it. Fabulous food, friendly service. A great place to enjoy a long meal with old friends.
Wonderful place with great food and attentive service!
For some years I came to Cambridge on business once a year or so. We always managed a meal at Henrietta's Table. Now, retired for a dozen years, I returned to find it as cozy and lovely and delicious as ever. Mille grazie!
I have eaten at Henrietta's several times over the years. Our meal was fine but not particularly great - for example, my salmon was overcooked. Service as always was excellent though.
Not very exciting.. Had to get the waiter to order drinks...
Once We ordered the meal arrived at a decent amount of time..
The entrees were small as well as the side dishes.. Entrees very tasty but small. Deserts were ok...Disappointing night.
We had brunch at Henrietta's and the meal was delightful, but what especially impressed us was the staff's assistance in helping us work around our son's nut allergies. One of the chefs came to our table and walked us through the food service areas, pointing out which dishes were reliably nut-free and which ones were less safe. Then the pastry chef came out and did the same thing with regard to the dessert choices. It was truly an example of going above and beyond, and we've never received that level of service anywhere else. We rewarded it with an overall rating of outstanding.
I have happily eat here a number of times over many years. If it was more conveniently located to where I live or where I am when in Boston/Cambridge would probably eat here more often. The food is consistantly very good with a combination of standards (comfort food) and specials that are more adventurious. The bread selection is wonderful (we ordered another basket and just about finished that one too). The chocolate bread pudding is wonderful. The coffee is very good. The beer and wine selections are also very good. I found that the house chardonnay paired quite well with the crab cakes. The portion sizes are just right - no left overs, and you don't feel like you have overeaten and regretted NOT leaving something over.
We were seated in a quiet wing of the dining room, maybe because our demographic generally prefers a low noise level, and we appreciated that. Both meals, lightly battered soft-shell crabs and broiled sea scallops, were tasty, and my dinner companion rhapsodized over the crabs. Service was prompt and attentive.
The crab cakes were soggy and the cheese course was served cold. The chicken liver pate was ok, but nothing to write home about. Too noisy.
Henrietta's Table never disappoints. From the attentive and knowledgeable services to the complimentary variety of bread for the table to the specials to the regular menu, this place delivers every time. We had about 90 minutes to get to the theatre. Two shared the trout appetizer and they loved it. Three of us had the scallop special. Three huge scallops were sweet and tender on a bed of vegetables. We ordered brussels sprouts and cauliflower for sides - all roasted and delicious. One of us had the Bay of Fundy salmon - also delicious. We had no room for dessert or coffee and were out the door and off to the theatre in plenty of time for the show.
Chicken was dried out and charred. Vegetables were bland and over-cooked. Beef short ribs were fine.
totally yummy food; everything was sooooo fresh and service was very smooth
Very good but the duck was disappointing for the price.
Henrietta’s Table never disappoints- fresh, seasonal food with lots of menu options.
Servers were a little too attentive.
Overall - AMAZING experience. The Mother's day brunch FAR exceeded our expectations with the diversity and amount of beautiful and delicious food. I ate a TON and didn't feel crushed with food. The location is easy, and they validated parking - no on-street parking needed!
I wish the weather was nice enough to sit outdoors, but there was so much light indoors, I didn't feel like we missed out on anything.
The Sunday brunch is expensive, but fantastic!
This was a great choice for a family dinner to celebrate. They have great service.
The food was extremely bland, no seasoning at all.
