Excellent service. The John Dory (fish) was delicious.
I was impressed by the ambiance of the location overall. Great windows and light coming through. The food was good for the value. I had the scallops that were tasty. Not the best I have ever had, but still quite good.
First time at Henrietta's Table. Attracted to try via Dine Out Boston. We will return. Food for all of party of four was tasty and well prepared. Three of us had fish with wonderfully crispy skin. We also, all of us liked our vegetable sides. Nice wine list. Service was quite good. Attentive, prompt,.but not hovering or overbearing. Good value.
very nice evening.. Good food too. They have changed their pricing structure.. Now the sides are al a carte.
Solid. Boston supper special well worth it. Great service. Very good food.
Food was not good. I am a better cook
Henrietta's is always a dependable dining destination in Harvard Square. The food is high-quality and well prepared, the service is friendly and professional, and the acoustics are just right, meaning you can actually carry on a conversation without shouting. The fish dishes (scrod and the crab cakes) were particularly good on this visit. The menu is very traditional--nothing too inventive or exotic here--but sometimes that's just what you want.
Henrietta's Table Sunday Brunch is absolutely marvelous... providing a wonderful assortment of various foods. The variety is amazing and the food preparation and presentation is also outstanding!
The staff is very attentive, friendly, courteous, and well-informed!
Staff was so nice and the food was delicious. We were a party of 6 and loved that they sat us at a round table so that we could enjoy and hear everyone's conversation!
Saturday 6 pm, busy and loud, service was slow and they forgot to bring some of the food we ordered. We told the server to bring the bill because we had a show at the Regatta bar (we thought that 1.5 hours for dinner should be reasonable to make it to the show on time...barely). They brought the bill and the food we didn't get was being charged and the 10% discount they offer for attending a show wasn't included.
Complained about both, the bill came back but only the unordered food was taken out. Had to request again that the 10% discount is applied....
In general, Henrietta's Table is great. Not this past Saturday.
Best Yankee Pot Roast Dinner in town and the potato leek soup was delicous.
It has been quite some time since we've visited Henrietta's Table, and will likely be a bit longer before we return. While the setting is pleasant (good light, nice view of the courtyard, comfortable chairs) the food was really disappointing . For $19, I expect really good eggs and potatoes, really good short ribs,, and neither was worthy. The service was inconsistent: first they were patient with us having a late-arriving guest, then we had to flag down alternate servers when ours went AWOL. I don't mind paying for an enjoyable meal out with friends, but the food did not live up to expectations, and we're unlikely to recommend this restaurant to others.
After being closed for a few months, I cannot say I noticed any change in HT. (There is construction going on around the hotel.) It has always been a wonderful place for informal dining for any meal. That is still the case.
Comfortable, but the food was only really OK and the atmosphere is fairly boring, especially for being an exciting Harvard Square. The wine list is Limited. Still had a very pleasant time with friends.
Enjoyed our brunch. Had to chase down our waiter to get the used plates cleared and more coffee. It is a bustling atmosphere.
We went for the Sunday all-you-can-eat brunch buffet. I am a vegetarian and there was a lack of any interesting vegetarian options. There were things to eat, but nothing special to justify the price. The desserts were excellent and the service and atmosphere were wonderful.
Great Sunday Brunch spot in the heart of Harvard Square.
Although the servers were nice they were not organized and properly trained in customer service. Dinner was uncomfortable and not pleasurable. Waited too long for our food. Too noisy for quiet conversations. Service has declined since I attended last year. Love farmer to table. If you can improve in ambiance, noise and service, then I will return. Until then, I will not recommend.
We made a reservation but still had to make 10 minutes which wasn’t a huge deal. But we did have a 95-year-old friend with us and it was very hard for him to hear because of all the noise. I don’t think it was anyone’s fault, I just wouldn’t pick that venue again when I need a place that’s quieter.
Everything was wonderful except the noise level. It was hard to talk with/listen to others at the table.
Relaxed ambiance, never feels rushed while dining.
Food always excellent
A bit noisier than usual
We have been coming to Henrietta"s table for over 20 years. We think that the quality of the food and the overall experience has deteriorated significantly over the years.
My wife's food came out cold, as did the sides. We sent them back and the sides came back acceptably hot, but the squash was still only lukewarm. We gave up and sent it away. We had to request to see a manager after that, as opposed to someone trying to find out what the issue was. She credited us for the squash, which was reasonable, but was not as apologetic as I would have said the circumstances warranted.
My husband ended up getting the crab cakes and he bit into a huge shell and really hurt his tooth. The chocolate moose was not very good. However they were very good at accommodating my food allergies and I truly enjoyed the pot roast. All in all not the best restaurant for the price. The service was excellent and the drinks were good.
The food is exceptional and creative. Service terrific. Great value Loved the seasonal local food idea.
Food and wine was fairly priced. Dinner was delicious. The service was excellent. He was attentive, friendly and efficient.
I think the room has a nice vibe without being too noisy.
If you are in Cambridge, do not miss this amazing brunch / lunch spot. I had the BEST quiche of my life. The ambience was hip. The service was spot-on. An A+!
We love your restaurant. The vegetable selections are great and wonderfully cooked. Great menu for vegetarians. And the scrod was excellent also. Compliments to the chef.
Service was great, staff went out of their way to help celebrate a birthday. The food was wonderful, particularly the duck! Lovely evening
Usually this place is perfect, but staff must have been a little distracted that Saturday night. Vodka tonic was ordered but came as vodka and soda, cheerfully replaced. The prime rib ordered medium rare was a bit of a disaster came well done slathered in gravy was more like pot roast. Not very cheerfully replaced with a different piece of meat still well done. But! The scallops in lobster sauce were perfect and so was the chocolate bread pudding. I still love Henrietta's Table but they don't know what prime rib is.
a very nice Birthday dinner with our son
I love this restaurant! Thanks for the great food and service.
The cheese was good. My vegetarian dish (eggplant) was pretty tasteless. The waiter didn't know much about the food or wine but was pleasant.
Good salads, mediocre mains, wine is ok but overpriced. In general, HT offers basic home cooking at high prices. But it is convenient for Harvard events.
They were great accommodating my crustacean allergy. We sat at the bar. Loved the scrod & Caesar salad with excellent dressing. Will definitely dine there again!
We had an early supper before a concert at 8pm. Food , service were all excellent.
Servers were attentive and nonintrusive; atmosphere is warm; we all liked our meals; I had crab cakes special which was very good & heart & healthy mousse for dessert was delicious.
After waiting several months to get to Henrietta’s table the experience was a severe disappointment.
Knowing we had to hit the theater at a certain time I made a reservation for an hour and a half before which should have given us plenty of time to have a leisurely dinner and walk the five minutes to the theater.
Afrer being seated promptly for our reservation we waited 15 minutes to get a menu which didn’t arrive at all Ihad to go in search of a waiter for one.It was extremely busy and noisy I couldn’t even hear what my friend across the table from me was trying to say throughout the entire meal.
After getting our menus we waited another 15 minutes 1/2 hour in total from the time we sat down for our waiter to show up and ask for our order we explained to him we needed to hit the theater and asked him to put our order in right away as we had already been waiting half an hour just to order.
We got our chowder which was underwhelming and waited another 40 minutes until dinner arrived meanwhile our waiter kept avoiding our glances and was rarely visible.
When our order arrived the chicken the dark meat chicken was delicious the white meat severely over cocked so dry I couldn’t even eat it and our sides were lukewarm.
when the waiter stop by to check in which was nice, I mentioned that our sides were cold and he asked what I wanted to do at that point we had 10 minutes to eat so I decided to just let it ride to stick with the lukewarm vegetables. I had also asked the waiter for the check when he dropped the dishes which did not come and I had to go 15 minutes later in search of him to find the check in order for us to get out on time. Forget dessert we had to rush through our meal which wasn’t that difficult because it wasn’t that delicious.
I want to note that I am not usually a complainer I eat out all the time I appreciate the difficulty of restaurants but boy was this all the way down the line a bad experience . !
The bill was 75.00 and I felt it was a waste!
In fact, i went for lunch but my fellow diner couldn't come. i waited for over a half an hour, and i was treated with remarkable service. i had a cup of fresh hot coffee, and offered more. i decided to leave, and asked to pay, at least for my coffee, having used a prime table at prime time. the server didn't charged me, and urged me gently to rebook. i was sorry not to have had lunch, but i was impressed by the service.
Delicious food. Attentive service. AND - a restaurant where you can actually have a conversation without having to shout. We had a wonderful time.
