The food was good, not great. The liver pate appetizer was good but needed more flavor and the grilled bread tasted burnt. The bread in the bread basket was great. The lamb was not good at all, but the pork was excellent. The sides were pricy and the brussel sprouts were bland and not cooked enough . The chocolate bread pudding was also very good. Overall good meal (except the lamb) but not worth the cost.

The food was not prepared as I asked (a simple request: an egg poached hard) and was acceptable but far from delicious (bacon, potatoes, GF muffin (best part of the meal was the muffin). With juice and coffee, the breakfast ended up costing us about $25 each, and that would have been okay if the food had been better. Service was decent, not exceptional. Honestly, much as I like the atmosphere, I would not return. And I've been there several times in previous visits to Cambridge on business.

Henrietta's is one of our favorites and never disappoints. The food is always interesting, fresh and expertly prepared. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The menu is designed to appeal to many different tastes and the prices are very reasonable for Cambridge.
Great place to introduce visitors to Harvard and for parents to entertain their students!

Sunday brunch consists of an enormous buffet, with so many choices that it was hard to select and impossible to try everything. There were hot and cold dishes, including a carving station and omelet stand, and a beautiful array of desserts. We especially enjoyed the breakfast fishes, tiny squares of various patés, grilled veggies, salads, and enticing desserts. The noise level was somewhat high, as people were continuously returning to the buffet line to refill their plates. Since the cost is high for brunch and the amount of food greater than some might expect, it would be nice to have an à la carte menu available -- but I'll definitely be back.

Whenever I have friends in from out-of-town, I take them to Henrietta's Table. Food and service are very good. It's a nice, comfortable place to enjoy a meal and talk. Location right near Harvard Square is great.

We went for brunch, and the place was not full, even with that the service was extremely inattentive. We had to ask for coffee couple of times, and then had to ask several times before getting a refill. Our waiter disappeared, and when we waived, he ignored and went started chatting with his coworkers. The food was not something I would recommend to anyone either, as it was extremely salty and overcooked. Since we had no attention, we could not even provide feedback to the employees. Extremely disappointed.

I had such high hopes for this restaurant as I had heard so many good things. All three people at my table felt that the meal was fair at best.

Arrived for Christmas Day dinner a 7:30 reservation. Bar was out of ingredients for cocktails offered, after waiting for a half hour, finally tracked down a second server who was helpful and took our table under his wing. Buffet was tattered, and the main courses were in shambles- no refresh after the mass exodus of families we witnessed at 6:45. A hugely expensive disappointment.

I’ve been to Henrietta’s Table for brunch twice before and enjoyed the experience. The value is good because they have a great selection of fresh seafood options. I was not very impressed with the thanksgiving menu’s turn out. The variety was fair but everything I ate was average (except the potatoes, of which I enjoyed a second serving). Service is always great and the atmosphere is warm. I would go back but I would not recommend to foodies.

Food is good but the brunch was soooo expensive. I guess it is ok if you eat a wide variety of food and pig out. Otherwise, it feels a bit like robbery.

We had an 8:00 reservation on Christmas Eve and were not seated until around 8:20. I had asked for a quiet table or booth but our table was in the middle of the room and very loud. Waiter was not very attentive-he seemed scattered. The saving grace was the food-everyone enjoyed their meal. Probably would only come back to sit outdoors!

We went there for Christmas eve dinner. The restaurant was okay. Nothing quite special for a hotel restaurant. Breads were good. Overevaluated. It may be good for family dinner but there are many others better than this one. Overpriced for quality and service. I agree that it is a typical hotel restaurant with good bakery food.

Having had a very good experience previously, my wife and I had a late lunch at Henrietta's Table prior to a matinee performance at the Sanders Theater. In general, the service, atmosphere and food was good. However, the monk fish sandwich my wife ordered was heavily breaded and fried. There was less than a half inch of fish between the bread layers. Had the menu described it as a fried fish sandwich she wouldn't have ordered it. We mentioned this to our server, who spoke with her manager. The sandwich was taken off the bill; however, it ruined the experience and my wife went hungry to the theater. This is not to say that we wouldn't go there again, but now we know to ask about how their food is prepared.

Food was good, but somewhat plain. More problematic was that we were rushed by the wait staff, which was not very pleasant. Some of our plates were removed from the table before we had even finished eating.

My guest and I wanted someplace with good food where we could chat. Remembering a lovely brunch some months earlier at Henrietta's Table, we decided to return. Because the students at Harvard were away on break, the hotel was empty ... as was the restaurant. This provided us with a quiet place to relax and enjoy delicious foods. We had a lovely time.

Had Sunday brunch with two friends-one of whom was vegetarian. The food was amazing and the variety was great. We had been to Henrietta's table before but never for the Sunday brunch. One suggestion would be to have vegetarian items labeled and grouped together . There was a table with some roasted vegetables and salads but some of the salads had cheese that were probably not vegetarian friendly and there were assorted cheeses on the table as well. If some were vegetarian friendly it would be nice to have them labeled or to have all vegetarian items grouped together. There was lots of meat and fish(salmon, oysters etc) . There were items that could have been vegetarian (a vegetable pate) for instance but it had a layer of gelatin which made it seem not veg friendly. Made it hard for him to make selections. He had some muffins, roasted vegetables and some desserts and coffee so unfortunately the brunch was not the greatest value for him. Brunch for 3 including coffee (no cocktails) was $180.00.

We had always wanted to try Henrietta's, and finally made it happen since we were going to be by Harvard. They use a lot of local ingredients from farmers, and it's essentially the "farm to table" concept, which we love. We had the delicata squash, salmon pastrami, and vegetable chili, and all were excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. On top of that, they seated us with no problem, despite us being late with traffic. We definitely want to come back to try more!

Went to dinner with a friend before heading out to a show. The staff was terrific and they knew we were in a rush to get to Boston. The service friendly and professional. We both had the scallops from the Specials menu and they were absolutely delicious! Would love to go back next time I'm in town and I'm not so rushed!

Love Henrietta's for breakfast, but cannot recommend for vegetarian dinner. There were only two options, a tofu dish and a chili. The chili and empanadas was absolutely tasteless!

Our server was friendly and available when needed. There was a cook behind the line who was accommodating when asked to make a poached egg without meat but he was busy drinking his water that he didn't make any eye or acknowledge me even after he was done drinking. I had to say excuse me - I was standing right in front of him. Nobody else behind the food line was friendly. When we arrived and walked up to the reception, there wasn't an immediate smile and we greeted the host first instead of the way around.
I don't know if what each person ate was a $55 value but we had fun - so nobody gave it any thought until later. Let me explain - the food presentation was filled with variety but the stations need to be replenished in a timely manner. The dessert station was not replenished for quite a while, likewise the salad station. It did get replenished & I did finally get something from each station but it took a few times of getting up & walking to the 2 stations. Felt like too much work to get through our brunch.
Once again, I want to highlight that the server/servers at our table were wonderful & someone (not our main server) anticipated my husband's needs by getting his bagel toasted for him when he realized there was a toaster after getting back to his seat...now that is great anticipatory service!
The above is simply constructive feedback - we liked Henrietta's Table & simply want them to do well / better. We will go back to try their dinner.

We had reserved through Open Table. After Christmas Revels which ran later than announced, I called Henriette’s to let them know we'd be about 10 minutes late for our 8:15 reservation. The hostess said, “No problem.” When we arrived, around 8:30, there was no one at the host stand. After about 5 minutes or so, someone appeared. I told her we had a reservation. She could not find it on the computer. But the restaurant was far from full so she showed us to a table. We waited for another 5 minutes or so and our waiter came--very cordial, very nice. He took our drinks and out food order. When the drinks arrived, we realized that the table was very unsteady--the top was quite loose and shaky. Our waiter was nowhere in sight. We asked another wait staff person walking by to please send over our waiter. He returned then said he had to call the "engineer." The manger (I think) came a few minutes later, and then said we were moving to the next table. Neither the manager nor the other staff person there helped us move out glasses until I asked the manager, were we to move all our plates and glasses ourselves? and then we waited a bit more till our waiter reappeared and he brought the last few things—by the time he turned up we had carried our wine glasses, our bread plates and the small carafes over ourselves , as we were taken aback that the staff standing around weren’t doing a thing. Our waiter moved our water glasses and the bread basket . This whole fiasco rather unacceptable, I thought. I’ve worked in the in restaurant industry and even though at a place not quite as nice as Henrietta’s, we knew how to quickly resolve a problem like this without it taking 15+ minutes to do. We were out for a nice evening , a treat for our very elderly (86 years old)friend , and it was a huge embarrassment for us.

I have been here a few times in the past and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal. This time, my girlfriend and I wanted to check out their brunch buffet offered only on Sundays from noon to 3pm. In short, the buffet was spectacular. There were so many dishes for you to eat as much as your heart desires, including terrines, pates, lox and other cured fish, large shrimp cocktail, raw half-shell oysters, pastries, salads, eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, prime rib, and made-to-order omelets. We are big fans of oysters, and we definitely got our fill on those. While they were not freshly shucked (who are we kidding), they were great in quality and tray was refilled as soon as it was half-empty. There were also desserts including fruits, mini fruit tarts, cakes, and bread pudding. Everything we ate was delicious and after having experienced it, I think $55 per person is a bargain. I recommend you to check it out if you are a big eater and love brunch food!
