   Hennen’s is my favorite steakhouse in Chattanooga. It is an establishment that I can always count on to deliver.

   We were expecting a fine dining restaurant; instead we found ourselves overdressed and surrounded by people in shorts, ball caps, and flip flops. The service was poor. We were seated for 15 minutes before someone came by with menus. We were disappointed with our dining experience here.

   Ordered the lump crab cake, which was disgusting. Arrived smothered in a creamy sauce that made the cakes mushy. Arrived barely warm, and crab tasted like it came from a can, the cakes made days before, and just warmed up that afternoon. Smothered in sauce to disguise that it's old. The Mac & cheese was dry, overcooked, and inedible. Would not eat here again.

   I have dined at Hennens many times. Tonight seemed shortstaffed and very loud.

   The food was decent and service good but it was just so-so for ambiance. My son’s steak was not cooked the way he likes (with the fat around the edge of the NY strip crisped up) and it was cooked to medium vs medium rare. Special requests were honored so that was appreciated.

   This was our first restaurant in Chattanooga and it didn't disappoint. The waiter was on top of things and sitting outside was good people watching. Unfortunately, I don't remember the apps but we had the salmon simply seared and the trout (market fish) Caribbean spiced. No complaints at all! Food was served warm and promptly. I had the Josh Cellars cab and it was a good pour.

    Lack of good service server is good and very friendly, but we had to wait for everything even as simple as cutlery or coming to bring straw or fork. Price is very high for the quality. Wine was great Dr E Ebrahim
