   We messed up our reservation time on Mother’s Day weekend coming from a Central Time location to an EDT zone making us an hour late. Restaurant was very accommodating and reserved us a seat in the bar. I had a seafood trio which was delish. Would return.

   Hennen’s is a great locally owned restaurant. It is a pleasant atmosphere and the food is always great.

   You can always tell a good restaurant the way they accommodate you. When I looked at the menu, I saw 3 things I wanted. Couldn’t decide which to get. I asked the waiter if he could give me a small fillet, Caribbean seasoned shrimp and Caribbean seasoned scallops. Made me a trio of all three. Fantastic!!!

   Outstanding in every way, as usual for Hennen’s! Every dish and drink were perfect. And again the restaurant lived up to its reputation, and our out of town guests were impressed with our restaurant recommendation.

   When they brought our food, one steak was clearly overdone and they took it back, but it was over 30 minutes before a new steak was brought out. It still was not med rare. Then when we ordered coffee which took close to 20 minutes, one cup was stone cold. Not a place we will return to.

   Our expectations are set pretty high when we visit a steakhouse. My bad for not paying attention to the fact Hennen’s does not serve prime beef. My steak was ok, for an aged choice black angus ribeye cut, otherwise we had a great experience. Their Caesar salad and seared tuna were excellent, as well as their ginger soy seared salmon. If they were billed as a seafood restaurant, that would have elevated our rating. They do have an above average wine list, and we went with a Robert Mondavi 2021 CabSav that was outstanding. Our service was great, but they attempted to seat us against a wall table, with four other tables available. They did move us, along with another couple behind us. Hint, last in gets worst table! We will return the next time in town for the seafood and wine.

   Disappointed second time Eatting there when come to town. Steaks little charred ordered Oscar filet crab served on side and receive 2 asparagus and scallop potatoes loaded and soaked in butter Over all not good for price paid. Server was new did not treat us like 5 star more 3 disappointed.

    Always good food..steak/shrimp kabobs and strip steak were excellent. Salmon dip appetizer is wonderful! Peyton was a great server.
