    We went last night for an early Fathers Day dinner from Alabama and Georgia. Our waiter was charming but missed quite a few things. We ordered cauliflower and bruschetta for appetizers and got calamari and bruschetta. It’s ok, we took them and didn’t say anything. Both my husband and I ordered filet oscar, both medium. My husband’s was lukewarm and mine was more of rare. I wasn’t gonna say anything but I mentioned to our server when he came around to check on us. Even though I said I was ok, he insisted on taking it back to the kitchen and brought me back my steak “cooked” more. Wow! Who does that? Everyone knows you don’t cook a steak again! Itdoesn’t make it right! We intended to stay for dessert and coffee but ended up leaving and got dessert somewhere else. Disappointed. Never coming back.

    The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. We were never rushed. Our server, Kenzie, did an amazing job at timing our drinks with the courses of our meal. We started with a gin martini for me and an old fashioned for my husband. Both were excellent. I had the wedge salad (so good) and my husband has the Caesar. They were both fresh and paired well with our King Estate Pinot Gris. We both had filets,which were cooked perfectly. He added butter to his and I added the seared scallop, which melted in my mouth. My husband had fries and I had the creamy risotto. The asparagus gave it a pleasant crunch within the velvety goodness. We enjoyed the King Estate Pinot Noir with our entrees. We ended the meal and a lovely evening with a glass of Disaronno. We couldn’t have asked for better food or better service. Every visit to Chattanooga will include a meal at Hennen’s.

    We arrived 4:30 on. Sunday afternoon to enjoy dinner before a 7 pm show nearby. Enjoyed great Old Fashions and Bruschetta for appi. Our server, Ruth, was friendly and knowledgable of the menu. She made a great wine pairing selection for my Entree. Filet tips were cooked med/rare as requested and well plated. The patio was enjoyable for outside dining. Look forward to a return visit next time in Chattanooga. Host staff was very welcoming as well!!

    Hennen’s is my favorite steakhouse in Chattanooga. It is an establishment that I can always count on to deliver.

    We were expecting a fine dining restaurant; instead we found ourselves overdressed and surrounded by people in shorts, ball caps, and flip flops. The service was poor. We were seated for 15 minutes before someone came by with menus. We were disappointed with our dining experience here.
