Great bbq with excellent flavor!
Went with friends, a table of 8. Had a wonderful time, service was friendly, food was great. One order had ribs instead of the ordered brisket, he was told to keep the ribs and a side of brisket was sent right out. Several tried pork cracklings for the first time, one ordered a second for dessert, a delicious splurge on a night out. Wide selection of drinks and plenty of cocktails to try. Band started downstairs so we enjoyed some good blues at the end of the meal and then ventured down for a bit. A fabulous evening.
Have been twice for dinner over the past month or so... Both occasions were on a weekend night and the service was excellent. The BBQ is great. Side are hit or miss depending on your taste (thought the mac & cheese was too spicy, corn casserole was OK, but green beans and cole slaw was outstanding). Tried one of their Cathedral Square brews and it was very good. Will be back!
Our opentable reservation, though confirmed, did not make it to the restaurant...but they found us a table and were very helpful resolving the issue. The food was delicious and we experienced great service!
Have been to Hendricks BBQ several times, great food & drinks
Great vibe and good food. Prices are reasonable, and service was good. Would definitely recommend! Right next to our hotel with a bar downstairs that had live music.
Great service from Taylor. Live music, speedy service.
Good food and drink menu. Friendly staff just can't keep up when busy.
Great BBQ. Make a reservationsince they fill up quick!
It was my daughter’s birthday. The staff was warm and welcoming, ensuring we had a wonderful experience.
The BBQ was awesome - the rib meat fell off the bone when I lifted them off the plate. Smoked Sausage and Hamburgers was excellent! My wife says the green beans we 'almost' as good as grandma's!
Fantastic service!! Ribs were awesome. Portions were good sized. We will be back
Great BBQ, great atmosphere and service. Good daily specials. I'd recommend it to anyone in or around the St. Charles area. It's a hidden gem.
The meat was smoked and not very flavorful. The sweet potato and corn casserole were good. There were 4 types of bbq sauces on the table but they seemed watered down. I had a reservation and the hostess, server were not very welcoming. I would recommend this place for someone to try the bbq. I feel bbq is something everyone needs to make their own option about.
The food is VERY overpriced for what you get - $42.00 for 2 drinks and an entree. $7.00 for a 4oz. side of creamed spinach. Seriously? Service was rough. Several orders were wrong and no effort made to correct. More than 10 minutes passed from the time food was delivered until server checked on us - after she spilled the $7.00 creamed spinach on the table and begrudgingly brought a replacement out. Ordered mashed potatoes with no gravy, got sweet potatoes instead. When our waitress finally came by, we asked for what we ordered (reminding her about the no gravy) and we got the mashed potatoes with - you guessed it - plenty of gravy. They used to have a very extensive bourbon list. Apparently not any more. I asked about some harder to find bourbons (which they've always had in the past) with no joy. Finally, I asked about Pappy and the waitress looked at me like I had three heads. Will not be going back any time soon.
The meat was great, the sides were good, and the local beer selection was pretty good as well. The major downside was that their BBQ sauces were all really thin and runny, with very little variation between the choices. Would choose a different BBQ place next time for that reason.
They weren't very busy the night we went, perhaps because it was a little cold outside. Our table was ready when we arrived. They have a good selection of alcohol; however, they didn't have the domestic beer I prefer. We went downstairs to listen to the live music after we ate and it was good. If you want to eat downstairs, you have to go upstairs and order your food and take it downstairs with you. Seemed like several people did that. Overall a good experience and I would go again.
We waited for 20 minutes and received absolutely zero service. Ended up leaving and celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at a different restaurant...I have never seen such uncaring, rude and completely unprofessional staff in my life!
The food was amazing. Can't wait to go back. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who likes BBQ.
The BBQ meat is delicious, the sides are okay. I had the braised greens w/bacon were delicious though portion was not filling at all extremely small. I also had the corn casserole, which was a disappointment. Very bland and dry tasting versus what I'm accustomed to creamy & a little sweet. I've eaten here before and the food was very good then as well.
We had a girls night and started here, great service, lots of fun. Great food.
Food was really good. Not a big fan of the sauces. Atmosphere was great. Also a little pricey. But we'll be back
got right in. was nice and clean waitress was friendly and fast. had to tap a keg beer was late but complementary. food was very fast and good but not great all in all good place.
Make sure you make a reservation because it can get crowded. The best BBQ I have had and the price was outstanding. A must try is the pork crackling.
Good food and plenty of it on the plate. Service was great and our table was ready as soon as we arrived.
The BBQ as usual was excellent. Sides are also very good. The banana pudding was terrible with the bananas not being ripe. But, server removed the item from our bill which was appreciated. Prices are a bit above average for BBQ.
Very good environment , food superb, service excelent, best beer on tap ever
I was very disappointed in the side dishes and desert. The brisket was very good, but the corn casserole and the fried potatoes were very ordinary at best. We had apple pie and it was not very good at all. Too much crust some of which wasn't done and very few apples
Confusing; we had 3 different servers and with that being said....still took a long period of time for drinks and refills
We went for a family Christmas Eve dinner and had reservations for 6:30. Upon arriving the place was very empty with only 2-3 other tables. Service was very poor and food was slow (and cold) coming out despite the restaurant being empty. While we were eating we were left to be the only table there. The staff was sweeping and cleaning around us. We thought this was quite odd. After we got the bill (around 7:45) we asked if they were closing early. The waitress then informed us they had closed at 7. I’m not sure why i was allowed to make a reservation for 6:30 when they closed at 7. I wish they would have informed us upon seating. We would have chosen a different venue as this was a family holiday meal we normally would have ordered desserts and after dinner drinks. Instead we then felt bad and rushed out.
The nachos are terrific!! They not only looked outstanding, they were delicious.
I have eaten there a number of times. The place can get loud but the service is fairly quick and the food is consistently good.
Where to begin... This was our 2nd experience here, which is the ONLY reason I would recommend this place, bc the first visit was the complete opposite. Had this visit been our first, we'd never return. Went for Christmas dinner, myself, husband, 7 month old, and in-laws. We arrived before the dinner crowd this evening. Sunday special is fried chicken, which both in-laws ordered, I got the pulled pork sandwich, my husband the brisket Philly. My in-laws asked to substitute sides and were told no substitutions allowed, ok fine. It says allow 15 minutes for fried chicken, understandable. 20 minutes after ordering we're told our food is ready, but the fried chicken has another 10 minutes...annoying, but whatever. They finally bring the food...fried chicken is hot, but no mashed potatoes because They "aren't ready" and "it'll just be a few minutes". Pulled pork is cold, like been sitting there for awhile cold, and brisket is fine bc husband will eat whatever you put in front of him. Sent the pork back to have it heated up and it returned with a sloppy, wet, disgusting, inedible bun. We ate slow, hoping for mashed potatoes to arrive, which they NEVER DID. If we can't substitute sides, at least BRING THE SIDES ITS SUPPOSED TO COME WITH. Our waitress is fantastic, she truly is. She is genuinely apologetic and seems embarrassed at the situation, but shouldn't be because we know it isn't her fault. Ask to speak with a manager. This guy comes along COULD NOT CARE LESS that the wait was way longer than expected, pulled pork sandwich is terrible and inedible, and STILL NO MASHED POTATOES. Worst of all he blames everyone else and gives an obligatory "sorry". He did take 20% off the check, which seems minimal since 75% of the order was incorrect. Terrible experience.
Overall, food was good. Good craft beer list. This is the second time we've eaten here and I would return again. Small detail is that the cheesy grits on the Sides menu is horrible. Tastes like it came prepared quickly from a box. Otherwise, everything else is very good.
Fantastic BBQ meat, good craft beer and cocktails, friendly service. Sides are meh, and it's fairly pricey for lunch, but the brisket, turkey and pork were worth the trip.
Our server was very attentive. Food was great and we didn't have to wait long to get it!
Good BBQ. Fun time with friends. Some local beers on tap. Easy drive from the Airport Hotels.
The food was true southern comfort food. Great bar-b-que! We ordered the meat sampler with four sides and shared it. Also had the shrimp and grits. All was delicious. The service was great. We were seated inside but asked for an outside table and were readily accommodated. Great experience. We will definitely be back.
Girl's outing on Sun, Dec 3rd for the St. Charles Christmas Traditions. Thanks to Trip Advisor, I planned lunch here and it was a highlight of our dining experiences in St. Charles. We tried brisket, a brisket philly and pulled pork, as well as sides of sweet potato fries, macaroni, beans, fried potatoes and greens. Great sauces...we all had different favorites! All our food was fabulous and service superior. The building is ultra cool and we loved the décor. Seriously, we thought the chairs looked uncomfortable but all wished we had some at home. lol I will definitely be back and have already shared my experiences with my Facebook friends! Thanks Hendrick's for knocking it out of the ballpark!
There were large amounts of food on the “clean” plates we were given for appetizers. (Enough food that I could tell the previous diner had nachos)) When we told the server he acted as if that was not unusual, and he was very indifferent. The second set had food on them again, not as much, but still there was food. I fully realize that these things happen in restaurants, but the indifference was the real issue. The server also brought my husband the wrong beer. He checked on us maybe one time. We used to eat here quite a bit, but the quality of food has also gone down. We will not be back.
