Server was excellent. Due to short staff it took almost 50 minutes to get food. Food was very good.
Food was great once we got it. Meals were coming out one at a time. Sides were wrong. Had to ask multiple times for condiments, sugar and boxes for to go meals. Good food but terrible service. I can get good food elsewhere!
Made a last minute reservation on Friday night and let us know right away when we arrived that they were short-staffed. We waited maybe 2 minutes to get seated and then may just 5 minutes before our drinks order was taken. I'll take that "delay" any day! Service was great. Food was OMG delicious! So happy I ordered the smoked brisket and smoked turkey. Best of those I've had in a very long time! The corn bread service was excellent as well! We will be back again, and often (live nearby). They took great care of us on a busy night. Could tell that cleanliness was a priority too.
The barbecue at Hendricks is pretty good, the sides were tasty and the building is cool. However, the wait for a table (we even had reservations) was long and there seemed to be no one "in charge" or a manager on duty. The young women bartending, hostessing and serving were very inefficient and didn't appear to know what they were doing.
Waited 15 minutes along with 4 other groups of people before someone came to the station to seat us with a reservation. The food is amazing but out of porksteaks the last 2 visits and out of Octoberfest beer this visit. Came on a Friday night which is porksteak night. 5 stars when on their game but not on their game lately.
We dined at around 7:30 and the restaurant was out of the top 4 meat items and the food was cold.
The staffing shortage really presents problems for this restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly after arriving, but it took quite awhile to place our orders. Even getting our beer served took a long time because the bar was backed up. None of this was our server's fault; there were only 3 on duty.
But the food is terrific and worth waiting for. The bbq brisket is tender and mostly lean. The onion rings had a nice crunch. The sweet potato casserole had a unique style.
We would like to eat here again, but will probably do it as a carryout order.
Food was great. Took a long time to get seated even with a reservation and the took awhile to get order taken. Waitress never checked on us. Saying all that though, they did the best they could. Just no staff. They need help.
Our experience was unfortunately poor & extremely disappointing! Beautiful day to have lunch on the deck- waited approximately 15-20 minutes for water, when inquiring if the 1 of 3 servers that walked by , with no acknowledgement, if they could get our server- she acted like she had no idea what I asked. Did finally have a server take our order for drinks- 15 minutes later- we left! The frustrating part was that there were at least 3 servers but there were literally 6 tables with diners! Not busy at all! I am understanding of the labor shortage being in management myself, however an acknowledgement that they are short staffed or even a small apology for the wait would have made this experience completely different!!
Alicia and Lilian were very attentive and made our dining experience pleasurable. Oh and also the greens are fire!!!!
The service was outstanding despite being short staffed. You could tell they really cared about the customers experience. Food was excellent!
The food was excellent, but I thought that the portions were small for the price.
Food was lukewarm at best when it arrived. Have had much better BBQ-tried the ribs, turkey and pulled pork -too smokey, couldn’t taste meat. Server provided very attentive service.
The nacho appetizer was fantastic and great micro brewery selections.
The turkey, pulled pork and BBQ beans were excellent. The brisket and slaw were only OK.
The food and service were great, however we were a little taken back by the 3.9% charge to use a credit or debit card. Not knowing this ahead of time, we did not have enough cash, so our options were to pay the fee or leave. I have not encountered this fee anywhere else, and it seems a little strange with Covid, most businesses are not wanting to deal with cash. If we return again, I will make sure we have cash.
Wow. This ranks right up there with the best BBQ that I have had. I have been spoiled by a family member that competes in BBQ competition. We ate the ribs and brisket. They were both amazing 🙌. The sides were all great as well. I will be back and definitely would recommend.
Did not have beef brisket which is why we went there. Disappointed in the riblet sandwich.
Overall, there are better options for BBQ even on Main Street. The restaurant and atmosphere were standout. The service was slow and there were times it seemed like our table was forgotten. Appetizers came out at the same time as our entrées. The food was mediocre. Pulled chicken was sliced and spicy, brisket was not as tender as other BBQ options, and in general just wasn’t worth the cost for the level of service.
Servers lacked attention, food was fine but not exceptional. Plenty of space.
The food was fantastic! Meat was so good with a wood fired flavor. The server though didn’t tell us certain sides cost more money, so for a family of 4 our meal was $95. That was a surprise…
Bbq sauces were not very good and meat was dry. Too expensive for small portions. Overall cute place but definitely needs some improvements on food.
It was so loud we couldn’t talk across the table. Waitress was not attentive at all. My husband had to find her when we were missing a drink. Took 45 minutes to get our food and never saw her until she came with the check. Food was a little pricey for what we got.
The sweet potato casserole was delicious. I wish I took the time to try the dessert.
Chicken was cold and extremely dry. The sides were good. Really liked the place pre- covid. First time back since. Just not sure anymore. Hopefully things will turn around. I am really disappointed about my experience last night. Not sure I would recommend.
The food was ok it was not worth $44 per pound for meat. They offer 1/4 of a pound plate or sandwich for $10.99. Meat or sandwich with 2 sides for $15.50. The sides are tiny. Green beans dont cost that much money so those should be in bigger size. I ordered onion rings and got maybe 5 as a side... The flavor is fantastic the price is overwhelming.
It is under new ownership since the last time I was here, and it unfortunately has changed. The food used to be fantastic and now it is really poor. I had the chicken and Turkey and the chicken was dry and inedible. The Turkey was a little better but no much! The Mac and cheese that was to die for, now has no flavor at all! Very sad and disappointing! I will not be back!!
We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation time (party of two). The hostess asked for my name three times while I waited. Meanwhile, there were numerous open tables and others that were waiting to be bussed. They were completely out of at least three meats (ribs, smoked turkey, and burgers) and another item that I don't recall. Then, most of the food was cold and, frankly, not too great tasting. And lastly, the waitress was difficult to track down when our drinks needed to be refilled. I was in town for business and brought a coworker to dinner because I really enjoyed this place 2.5 years ago. Unfortunately, the entire experience was disappointing this time around.
Although they were busy and understaffed, all staff were kind and energetic. We had a great time and did not mind waiting a little longer for our food. Our server was wonderful and attentive.
Adam did good job with service. Out of draft beer not good. Music was way too loud.
We got there at 5 for our 5:15 reservation and there was a sign on the door saying they closed at 4. A phone call would have been nice. We had a party of 10 with us to celebrate a graduation and had to find somewhere else to go.
We had reservations for 1:45 on a Saturday. We arrived and immediately noticed they were short staffed or not keeping up with the flow of the customers as we waited for around 5 minutes for the host to seat us. We waited approximately 15 minutes for a server to show up to our table. We saw at minimum 4 servers so we didn't see what took that long. I am extremely patient as I was in the service business for over ten years. The frustrating part was that not one server even said hello or acknowledged us. The host kept checking up asking if someone had come to our table yet. The server finally took our drink order and it took another 10 minutes for our drinks. We did not get anything special but waters and soda. The food was mediocre but we requested ranch and ketchup and had to ask multiple times for these items after our food was out. Overall the whole mood would have been different if we would have been checked on and acknowledged. It definitely didn't seem like they were a running team.
Nice selection wish they would bring back pork steaks that original ownership had a few years ago
The whole shebang was a great way to taste and share everything
First off, the food was AMAZING, except that my order was missing some items. We had reservations for 730, it was not a bad wait to be seated, but took over 30 minutes for anyone to even ask for our drink order. Several tables that got seated after us were served before us. Again the food a 10!! The experience 0.
Bar was out of 4 beers. Out of macaroni and cheese. We were sitting for 15 minutes before drink order taken. Food came out before drinks.
The food was good and the patio was great.
Seemed like you were out of way too much and it was not busy at all.
Service was great, but the food was a far cry from what it used to be
Food wasn't what was pictured online but still decent. Atmosphere was great, service wasn't the greatest, server was nice and polite but didn't come around often and after handing us our checks he disappeared for another 15-20 minutes so be prepared to wait.
It was a great atmosphere and the food was good. The art work in the restaurant was very nice.
Had a wonderful experience with our 12 guest party ! Had excellent customer service! Will recommend and come back again ! Delicious food and drinks! Love the blackberry margaritas, pulled pork nachos, & fried green tomatoes!
