Delicious. Great service. Beautiful restaurant and hotel.
Outstanding experience. Octopus appetizer is one of the best octopus dishes I've ever tried.
As others have said, it was quite noisy. One of the smaller, outer rooms may be quieter, which I would request if I find myself there again.
After having good experiences previously at Hemingway's, we made reservations for 4 and was all set to enjoy the same experiences all 4 of us had previously. Not to be. We were seated next to a group that was very loud and we asked to be moved which was graciously accommodated by the seating host. 3 of us ordered grilled Salmon, the 4th something else. All 3 agreed the Salmon was tasteless, did not taste like Salmon at all, but did taste like a frozen fish just taken out of the freezer and grilled with absolutely not taste. All 3 of us eat Salmon regularly and to be completely honest, this was the worst Salmon any of us have ever tasted. One did not even bother to eat much of it at all.
This experience was a total disappointment and one that caused to agree we would not be back.
Food absolutely amazing. The calamari maybe best we ever had! We went with Grouper & Sea Bass and they were impeccable
The best prepared and served seafood on the planet
Absolutely the best crab cakes ......excellent service and ambiance.
Our server, Matthew, knew the menu well and gave recommendations based on our input. We got the crab appetizer with avocado. It was delicious with large pieces of fresh crab meat. We split the sea bass for dinner and it was cooked perfect with a buttery searing on the outside, flaky and moist on the inside. We had our own dessert and the rum cake won out by far. Atmosphere was great with all the windows and it was not overly noisy, but very intimate. We enjoyed our visit.
Very nice atmosphere, good food and service. Really enjoyed it.
A nice break from the “Disney” theme/crowds in the resort restaurants.
I was at Hemingway's on Sunday with 4 guests and Monday with 14 guests. The service was actually better on Monday than Sunday. The food is fabulous. Fresh seafood and high quality meats. They have a great wine selection and quite reasonable for a high quality restaurant. It's great to have a high end restaurant at the hotel.
Hemingway’s offers a spectacular dining experience. From the valet at valet parking to the hotel’s warm front door welcome to the lush, inviting decor we felt welcome. Our waitress, Suzanne, was so lovely and warm. My roommate had dined there 25 years ago and remembered their appetizer of coconut shrimp so favorably that all versions since have been measured against it. Chef Raul had literally just changed the recipe from an orange horseradish dipping sauce to a shredded phyllo dough shrimp served with a strawberry habanero chutney. My roommate shared her disappointment at not seeing the dish she remembered with Suzanne, who shared it with the Chef. He prepared his version and sent it to the table with his compliments for her to try anyway. She was thrilled and the new version was absolutely delicious. We asked to meet him to say thank you. Chef came to our table and we had a wonderful chat, learned his background and taste passions. He is marvelous and we both treasured spending time with him. The shrimp scampi with pappardelle was scrumptious as was the seafood paella. Go and enjoy!!!
Service was good, but food was disappointing at best. Will not be returning.
Extra special place with great ambiance, food and service! A favorite and must go dinner spot.
We love going here for our anniversary. They have a great vegetarian menu that we love! Plus the ambience is so nice. Highly recommend.
Ok but nothing special
First thing to know is that this restaurant is in the Grand Hyatt (we hadn't realized this) with all the special Hyatt pricing (eg. $18 to $20 for simple cocktail). The restaurant looks just like that in several of the grand Hyatt's (surrounded by water and tropical plants). The place was busy and a bit disorganized when we arrived and had to wait 15 to 20 mins for our table. Our waiter, Matt (?) was very good. We had the cold seafood appetizer combination which was good. The entrees were fantastic- we had the crab cakes and the the ribeye. The rib eye was on the small side and thin cut so was a little overcooked but the flavor was wonderful. The chef is obviously talented. The key lime pie was excellent.
Great service and food. Karl and his team went above and beyond, especially considering how busy the restaurant was with large parties.
The food was amazing. The setting is beautiful. Unfortunately the service was lackluster at best. I’ve had better service at Chili’s. Took over 2 hours to get entrees. Had to flag down the bus boy to find our waiter more than once.
Outstanding food and service
Beautiful grounds and restaurant !
Our server was terrific and the food delicious thank you
Always exceeds expectations. Incredible food with excellent service. He is hard to get, but ask for David.
A gem, food was fresh, delish and presentation was very nice. The property was also very beautiful, the restaurant was situated in a Japanese garden. The wine list was also very good.
They had the AC blasting the entire evening. It was freezing!!! The food was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the prices.
Our first time in Orlando and I must say our overall experience staying at the Hyatt Grand Regency Cypress was perfection. We chose Hemingway’s as the location for our Valentine’s Day dinner and it was absolutely lovely! The crab cakes were to die for and the service itself was like something out of a movie. Everyone was friendly, smiling and they even gave my gorgeous date a rose at the end of our meal prior to us walking out. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hemingway’s for any special occasion, and if you’re looking for a place to stay while in Orlando please choose the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. You won’t regret it!
David was our server and he was FANTASTIC! Our food was perfect, such a great evening! We love this place and we come back as often as we are in Orlando!
The food was amazing! My husband and I loved everything that we ordered. The flavors were unique and outstanding. I can’t wait to go back.
Service was excellent! We were seated outside on the patio and even though they were full inside they found space for us when it began to rain. The food was amazing, also. We had the braised rib stuffed mushrooms to start and scallops for dinner and every bite was delicious. We will definitely be coming back
Wonderful staff! They were incredibly accommodating even though we were running late.
The food was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Everything from the ambience/atmosphere to service and food was excellent. However, the food took a while to come out to the table. Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend!
A wonderful dining experience awaits. It sits on the grounds of a luxury hotel and is located amidst beautiful grounds, landscaped lushly. The decor is pleasant, with hints of Hemingway's home in Cuba and his boat. Live Spanish guitar music added to the ambiance. We enjoyed the special Tapas offered that evening. Unique pairings and exquisite flavors! All in all a delightful experience.
Food was incredible...crispy artichokes? Who would have thought? Unbelievable! Service? Not a match for the food.
As always our dinner at Hemingway’s was amazing. From the Calamari abc Avocado Crab Stack to the Filet, Sea Bass and Scallop entrees we were thrilled plus add Pana Cots and Creme Brûlée and your topped off the meal with a bang ...oh, cocktails from start to finish were smashing too! Tour de Force in dining.
It used to be my favorite restaurant for special occasions but not anymore a lot of business people is usually they’re very noisy the food is always late last week I have to leave the restaurant Because he was so full and noisy and I was waiting for my meal for more than an hour so I asked to leave around 930 and I was there since 7:40 PM
This was an amazing place from the ambiance to the food and drinks! We highly recommend Hemingway’s!
Too much time between courses. Otherwise delightful.
Waiter was excellent. Kitchen was confused and extremely slow. Double appetizers came out and a long delay for the entrees. The bursts-salad was missing tomatoes. Must be a produce shortage. Waiter accommodated the delay by offering a round of drinks on the house. We passed. He brought us a dessert that was delicious. In the end, my spouse loved everything about the place. I was disappointed with my salad and the paella. Oh well. Waiter was a star!!
The service was top-notch, the food to die for, from start to finish everything was great except for two large very loud groups we asked to be moved from our first table because 8-10 grown men could talk to each other without yelling like a bunch of Baboons, the second table was the same a few drunk or very deaf women were just as loud call the restaurant manager was. Thou the manger Carl was right on top of everything he made our 10th Anniversary dinner so very special Thank you, Carl, we will not forget we were in your house. James & Celia K.
A disappointment to be honest. Had expected better given prices and reputation. Fish overcooked. Garnish monochrome and somewhat sloppy.
Dessert of coconut key lime pie was actually excellent both in flavour and texture.
No espresso in a restaurant that pitches itself at this level is a big turn off.
Crab cakes are the best!! There was a large group in-house so it was a bit loud but not too bad.
Good octopus appetizer. Stay away from paella - they bake it too much so it was really dry.
