Helga’s was created in 1989 as a mother-daughter venture with a small, four-table restaurant. After spending their childhood in Germany, siblings Herbert and Helga have continued the tradition of their mother, Berta. Today, Helga's has expanded but has not departed from its humble beginnings, gathering a large loyal following of wonderful customers. Helga, Herbert and family maintain a warm and friendly environment where you can sit down to an authentic and delicious home-style German meal with family and friends.

This is my 2nd time at Helga's. Both times the food and service was outstanding!! We had Austin last night as our server. Our reservations were at 7:30 -we didn't realize that they close at 8. He was so nice and never said a word about that nor did he make us feel rushed or that we had to be out by 8. All of the food was delicious! I would highly recommend it.!

We love the food and service at Helga’s! Archie was an awesome server. The schnitzel was awesome as well as the pretzel and new potato / bacon appetizer. As a bonus we were serenaded by their accordion player which was just lovely!

Food was below par! We have been there a few times prior & food was much better! Waitress was allergic to everything we asked about, mushroom, hopes/ barley. The y mixed up out meats. I ordered veal got 1/2 chicken , my wife got all veal when ordering chicken. The waitress did fix it, however no apology. A disappointment, completely especially since I was praising it to others earlier that day! I guess when we are in Aurora we will always eat at the Golden Saigon( always a pleasant experience)a3 * is actually more than deserved!

We have been Helga’s patrons for years and while we love it there, I forgot when ordering the possibility of their habit of using too much salt on certain items & feel it’s time to be honest about a few Helga recipes. Their goulash and steak stroganoff were incredibly SALTY. Side spaetzle was not overly salty so I know they can do better on the two items that we ordered. Tim & Susan

This was our first time at Helga’s and we had a great experience from the moment we walked through the door. I took my wife for her birthday dinner and I could have been happier with the choice. Best authentic German food I’ve had since I’ve been in Colorado. I would recommend this place to any of my family and friends. We will be making this one our new regular spots for a good night out! Despite the unusual location (outside of a suburban shopping mall), Helga’s is an amazing dining and entertainment experience. The food never disappoints and on special occasions like Oktoberfest, they still deliver great service and excellent meals. We go here regularly to get our German fix.

We went here to celebrate our anniversary. We have been here many times before. Unfortunately the food quality seems to be declining some. The schnitzel was slightly overcooked and tough. The potato salad contained too much vinegar. Usually everything is great. Maybe it was just a bad night. I love the ambiance and service is usually great. I don't think the staff was informed we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I did put it in the comments on open table when I made the reservation. I'm hoping quality improves soon. We love to come here.

We’ve been to Helga’s several times. We went early for Oktoberfest thinking that since it was a Saturday there would be more of a party atmosphere most of the day. That wasn’t the case. We were there from 4:30-6:30. No live music at all. The food was not as good as previous visits. Brats were all great. But the schnitzels (all 3 of them) were all overcooked and tough. For what we paid for multiple beers, appetizer, entree and desserts to go it wasn’t where it’s been last few years. Hoping this is a blip.
