   An amazing dining experience. Choose this for a beautiful date night with your partner, or celebrate with friends - every bite was a culinary delight and everything was perfect. We spent about $55/person on food (2 apps and 2 entrees), pretty good price point for a special night out! Seasonal, absolutely incredible food, we didn’t have a bad bite, and so many few flavor combinations. A destination for foodies!!

   It was my husbands birthday. I noted such on the reservation. First time dining at Heirloom and we were looking forward to dining there. We were initially put right next to a family with young children. They were loud and misbehaving, as children often do. Luckily, we requested and were moved to another table. The service was excellent but we were unable to hear the specials due to the noise the children were making from the other room. The cheese and the bread were delicious and we purchased a loaf to take home. The starters were okay. The asparagus soup was average. The octopus was good. The entrees were disappointing as well. The scallops were good; the flake entree was so loaded with pesto that we could not taste the fish. We live here year round in Rehoboth but will not dine here again. While the service was excellent, the food and atmosphere were not. In reviewing the responses to the other negative reviews, they further cement that we will mot dine there again. What an attitude the owners have. Read them and become educated on the establishment.

   Had an heirloom beet salad and the fluke entree. Food was excellent and the service was great.

   Heirloom is always wonderful. We enjoyed the crab salad. I had the fluke and my wife had the scallops. Both were delicious. Service was great. We are never disappointed with Heirloom. Thanks to the entire team for a great evening.

   Lovely atmosphere with good service. However I think it’s tacky that a high end restaurant charges a credit card fee on your bill considering their high prices. They don’t answer the phone. They only give you a 5 minute window if you miss your reso time. And they charge you $25 per person fee if you have an emergency and need to cancel your reservation. Bad business practices in my opinion.

   Hi Robert Lambert! I hope you enjoyed the soft shells - I know you've been stalking us to see when they would hit the menu again. Glad you made it in! You are correct - Heirloom charges a 3% cc fee when using a credit card. This is very transparent (in writing!) at the bottom of our dinner menu, as well as on our website! And correct again - Heirloom has a cancellation policy, which exists on our website, the Open Table app, in addition, guests are emailed the policy when they book a reservation, as well as confirm the reservation the day before. All in writing, all on the website, all on the Open Table forums & all emailed at sign up & confirmation. Thank you for informing ALL the review readers of our policies!    Rather disappointing. Leg of lamb was shredded. Not much lamb. Scallops were bland. Menu is very limited.

   We continue to dine at Heirloom because of evolving seasonal and always delicious menu and the attentive and knowledgeable servers. Visits here are always a real treat!

   Heirloom is one of our family faves - consistently fantastic! I had the fluke and my husband had the pork chop. We started with the fried soft shell - highly recommend if it’s on the menu! The banana bread old fashioned is great as is the gin gimlet!

    This restaurant is a gem in Lewes because the owner Megan is a professional and a stickler for detail. We ordered wine for our party of 4-excellent and the sourdough bread arrived with the whipped butter. Stellar every time. We ordered mushrooms for the table and they were the best I've ever eaten. Variety with a warm sherry vinaigrette. Three of us had the leafy salad, lightly dressed with a lemon dressing. Par Excellence. Hubby devoured the fish and my friend loved the scallops. My friend and I were disappointed with the pasta dish. She is Italian and did not recognize it. While the presentation was stellar and the flavor good, I was disappointed. dried ends on boat shaped pasta. I wanted more time between courses. I understand the server said the chef wants to know but we no sooner finished the starter, and the food came. Variety on the menu--it will always be fresh and innovative.

    Hi Lisa, A little about our new pasta that we make in house.... Scarpinocc is a type of filled pasta shaped like a shoe, originating in the Parre village of Lombardy, Italy. The name "scarpinocc" comes from the Italian word "scarpa," which means "shoe," reflecting the pasta's resemblance to old-fashioned, handmade wooden shoes. The more you know! XO
