we have dined there a few times , the food and service are always spot on . I would recommend it to all who enjoy to dine
Love this place! Alex the host is one of the best. Our go to place for sure.
Great restaurant, service and food. Definitely will come back.
Wednesday night special — fried chicken — consistently wonderfully delicious!
Food was average, but service wasn't great. We waited close to 30 minutes for drinks, then our appetizers came when we were about halfway through our entrees (and after we asked that they not be brought out, at that point). Overall, not a great experience and not likely a place we'd revisit.
My friends and I went to Heirloom for a birthday dinner and to catch up with one another. We had a delicious meal and the service was very good. It was just so loud that we couldn't hear one another. But, I guess that's because it was so busy and people were happy!
Wonderful food and service offered in a casual low key environment. Not easy to find on the North Shore of LI. Pretty restaurant , great bar and warm, low key ambiance. Restaurant is popular, especially on weekends. Reservations are recommended.
Terrible waitstaff. Will keep going back for the food but they really need to get friendlier and more upbeat staff.
Good service. Easy parking. 1 meal came out properly while the other didn’t. Salmon was over cooked, which was brought to Manager’s attention. Our server was very good. Drinks were also good.
Pleasant overall, small bites menu very good, corn and shrimp chowder a meal in itself
Nice and quiet on a Tuesday evening, can be a touch noisy end of week and weekends. Best food around.
I have never had a bad meal at Heirloom Tavern.
Everything is always delicious, the specials are amazing, the service is always attentive, even on a Monday! The chef is very accommodating to dietary restrictions while maintaining quality and deliciousness!
Always love and consistent. A favorite of ours!!!
Excellent meal as always . Attentive waiter and attentive service . The Branzino was excellent and chef even accommodated special sauce request . We would definitely return again. Or if our favorite places.
Found Heirlooms on Open Table. Never knew of it. From the moment we walked in my Fiancé and I felt very welcomed. We were greeted immediately. We had dinner reservations for 8:00 but arrived a bit early. We were offered a table immediately but we wanted to have a drink at the bar just to absorb the atmosphere. WOW are we glad that we did. Allison is a blast! She is e extremely knowledgeable of the menu. We began choosing appetizers when Allison took over. She guided us thru not only the appetizers but the entire menu. We were very pleased with our meals and drinks. When you get to the restaurant ask for Allison, tell her that we sent you and said to say hello. Enjoy!
Welcoming staff, inviting atmosphere. Staff is attentive. Reservations recommended. Our group of three couples enjoyed the evening. The menu has many artfully composed choices. Appetizers of sliced octopus was enjoyed, The lobster taco was not memberable. Salads: Quinoa Arugula salad, pear endive salad were very good. Black sea bass over risotto , filet minion, perfectly cooked, lamb chops with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were excellent. I had the Duck on another occasion ant it was excellent. The Veal Osso Buccu special with cheesy polenta was excellent, the meat was tender and the sauce was excellent.
We loved the flourless chocolate cake and the creme brulee. The evening was a hit. We will be going back - and we want to try their two other restaurants.
Branzino wasn't so great but all else very good including the sides.
Place was very nice and fun. Not many tables so need to make a reservation ahead of time, but food was excellent and service was great. Good little spot.
Heirloom has become our families go to place for birthday dinners. We love trying new places but when we can’t chance being disappointed, we come here. Usually we end up with one item that is the best we’ve ever had anywhere.
Always a great meal! ..Delicious offerings with great staff starting at the entrance door!
It can get a bit noisy ... Lucky to have this local venue!
Great local spot! Fun bar crowd, great small plates, always a favorite. Alison the bartender keeps this spot happening!
Great food. Never disappointed.
Valentine’s Day with friends..
We enjoyed our appetizers, my NE clam chowder was hot and was one of the best I have ever eaten. Our meals came out timely and at perfect temperature . The scallops were cooked perfectly as was the steak. The service was good and allowed for limited interruptions. Bar being close to our table was a bit distracting. Overall very good and would recommend to others.
Everything was delicious! Service was excellent. Meat & fish cooked perfectly. First time I’ve been here but always wanted to try, can’t wait to come back with friends to share the experience. 👍
Too loud, otherwise great
Great food but wrong appetizer brought to table by a runner and dropped and had to get attention of waiter to see if it was correct. We didn’t think so and it wasn’t otherwise place was nice and food great
I love this place and go all the time even though the noise level is getting to be unbearable.
Been there many times - seems the Lobster Taco changed a bit, but still very good.
Salmon was very disappointing - very fishy, which it also had never been. Roast Beef sandwich was just ok, but the french fries were delicious.
The bartender always seems to know how to make a French Martini.
Food was very good. Enjoyed everything we ordered. My wife had the filet and I had the seafood paella special both excellent. However, the service was poor and ambiance loud and annoying. Took longer to get drinks than the food. Waiter was working far too many tables. Also, tables very very close to each other. Table of 4 right next to us was loud and obnoxious. Unsure if we would go back.
We had a delicious meal served by friendly wait staff who made great recommendations! We will be back soon!
I went for restaurant week with my family. This was my first time eating at this restaurant. The lighting is a bit dim with “theatre stage” lights and there is no true ceiling. The appetizers were delicious. I would have the mushroom ravioli as an entire entree. My chicken dish was great overall... a little salty but that wasn’t a big deal. The bacon bread pudding was amazing! So different. I would go back anytime I’m craving that!
Food was unique and flavorful - especially the cauliflower soup and the bacon bread pudding!
Everything from the atmosphere to the wait staff, service and delicious meal, our dining experience at Heirloom was perfect! The value for restaurant week made the night even better. The roasted cauliflower soup and fish taco appetizer was incredibly tasty. The hanger steak was cooked just right and seasoned well. The meal was complete with the bacon bread pudding. We will be back!
Restaurant Week girl’s night.
Excellent choices for the week.
Been going there for years...our "Go To" place for great food and service. Never been disappointed, always consistent. Everything you could want in a restaurant.
Restaurant Week here on Long Island and HT has the best choices. ( no upcharges- just good food)
