I love Heirloom. Broad menu with small plates and fine entrees.
Great service and food was elegantly prepared and delicious
Best mussels around!
Always a great meal at Heirloom! Service was excellent, meals were delicious. Only thing I would change is lighting. Very dim inside and hard to read menus. Would turn the lighting up just a bit...
My second time here and I really adore this place. The food is delicious and ambiance is ideal if you want a cozy meal paired with attentive service and a nice wine selection.
Food was good. Loved the small plates. Bar was a little noisy
Food was excellent. Pistachio crusted Halibut over bok choy and forbidden rice. A little noisy, but it is a bar.
Great food, good service, reasonably priced, comfortable!
My wife had the steak and it was amazing. I had a fish dish and finished by cleaning the plate with my bread to get the last drop of the sauce. Highly recommended. Space a bit tight, but worth eating there over and over and over.
Love this place The food is always good. It's cozy. The bartender knows how to make a good drink. Highly recommend
always great one of long islands best when you NEED a great meal this is my go to place.
Great local spot which we have been to many times. Had our anniversary dinner there this time
Went there for the first time during Restaurant week and had a fantastic meal. Food, service and Ambiance was great. Will definitely be back!
Have always wanted to try this place - can see it from the train. I was happy they participated in the LI Restaurant week so got a slight discount. Very attentive but not intrusive wait staff. Extensive drink list if that is a priority to a diner. Tone of place was relaxed yet emphasis on excellence in quality as well as service. Pumpkin ale with brown sugar on the rim of glass (classy) Leek and fennel soup, chicken cordon bleu with fresh haricots, and the real super treat was (drumroll please) the Pumpkin Creme brûlée! So unbelievably smooth, creamy and delicious. They have burgers too. The only nit picky thing was that it was too shadowy and dimly lit. I hope to repeat Heirloom Tavern again soon.
They used seasonal ingredients, which I love, and everything was fantastic! Not many note worthy restaurants close by but Heirloom Tavern is definitely note worthy! It was my first time there and will not be my last!
One of our favorite restaurants. Excellent food, many options, from small plates to full entrees. Delicious mussels, salads, fish, burgers, wonderful daily specials.
We have never been to this restaurant but decided to try it for restaurant week. The seating was a bit cramped and the acoustics a bit loud, but the vibe was friendly and cozy. We especially liked the pumpkin ravioli appetizer and the skirt steak entree. We forced ourselves to eat dessert, and the winner there was the profiteroles. Of note, too, were the mixed drinks which though expensive were worth it. We will be back to try other yummy looking choices from their menu. A new neighborhood find!!
Decent place with good food but it's very very loud. We came here for my wife's birthday and felt a bit uncomfortable for that occasion. Also, we were offered a seat in the back where waiters pass-by or on a high-table near the bar upfront - neither one is ideal for a birthday dinner!
When full the volume is up. Ns crowd
Food was delicious. It is a loud place, and bar prices are on the high side. They charged $19.00 for Johnny Walker Black on the rocks, which in our opinion is ridiculous.
Heirloom Tavern consistently serve wonderful food. Restaurant week menu better than most, so noise level for a Monday evening was surprising.
Glen Head’s Gem.
Thank you Alex...
We love the place maybe they should place noise ceiling cushions up or wall absorptions so a date night can actually happen without shouting at each other, kind of take the romance out of the date saying WHAT, WHAT, I DID NOT HEAR YOU, WHAT DID YOU SAY. Loud is not sexy.
As usual Heirloom was great food and great service !!
First visit to Heirloom Tavern was Great!
Had a wonderful meal, all the dishes we tried were fantastic. Fried calamari was perfectly executed (light and crispy, not greasy) with 3 nice sauces; spicy shrimp lettuce wraps were AMAZING, almost ordered a second round! Steak au poivre and blackened swordfish were well executed and very tasty. Skipped desert but cappuccino and Italiano coffee cocktail were great. Nice wine list as well. Cozy, casual atmosphere that was very enjoyable. All in all, we look forward to coming back!
From beginning to end we were thoroughly satisfied! We will definitely come again with friends!
As always, my recent dinner there with a friend was delicious. The arugula salad is tasty & baby back ribs that were the special that night, were so tender they fell off the bone! Looking forward to a return trip soon.
Food is always great, but the service and ambience have been uneven. Happy to report that this last experience was first rate, which hasn't always been the case on a Saturday night. Thx to Bryan for making us want to return even sooner.
Food and service always exceptional. Only problem - difficult getting a reservation.
We go to this restaurant fairly frequently and it has always been great. On our most recent trip, we ordered the Long Island Restaurant Week menu, which is just $28.95 for three full courses. Unlike other restaurants that skimp on their prix fixe selections, this one showcases some of its best dishes. On this last visit, we had excellent chicken, pork, fish and beef dishes, as well as interesting appetizers, such as fish tacos, and interesting desserts, such as grand marnier crème brulee. Kudos to Heirloom Tavern (and its sister Brass Rail restaurant) for making Restaurant Week a real occasion instead of an opportunity to skimp on quantity and quality to meet the lower prices. We will definitely return and refer friends.
Per usual Heirloom Tavern was wonderful last Saturday. Our starters, my wife's consisting of shrimp, and mine of oysters, were delicious. My wife had broiled salmon, which was prepared that way at her request. My steak au poivre went great with green beans and french fries - good to the last morsel. I highly recommend Heirloom Tavern for the chef. Service has always been excellent as well.
I've been to this restaurant three times. The first two times were great. But this last time I was very disappointed. I ordered fish. And it tastes fishy. And the my fiancé and I order mussels as an appetizer, which they were also fishy. I'm sad to say I was disappointed with the food.
Fantastic food and service, a little pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. Restaurant must find a way to dampen the noise levels, it was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation.
Great food always. Place is a must go.
Always Awesome in Every Way!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Never disappointed. Ive been going there for years ( over 3 owners) and we still love it. Wonderful experience. My only delight reservation is the tables are a bit close especially if you are next to a large group. The food is always fantastic.
Never had a bad meal here. Great salads, interesting entrees, and delicious small plates
My wife and I have been to Heirloom Tavern a number of times and have not been disappointed on any of them. Compliments to the chef for a very tasty grilled halibut topped encrusted with nuts. My wife had excellent chicken. Service, as usual, was excellent. The regular menu and specials never fail to delight.
Heirloom Tavern is the type of place that everyone should be lucky enough to have close by. It's the perfect neighborhood spot - comfortable, warm and welcoming. Not to mention the extensive menu, excellent preps and delicious food!
I have to travel 30 minutes from my house to get there, but it's well worth the trip.
