Heirloom Tavern Ratings and Reviews
We Love Heirloom Tavern! Never Disappointed or unhappy with the food!
I am a professional chef and when I go out to eat it has to be as good as I can cook or better!
We now live across the street from Heirloom Tavern and can go there anytime we want!
The staff are always attentive ,professional and kind!
My first time at this restaurant which was recommended by a friend. My friend and I had several small plates and appetizers with drinks. The waitress recommended the cranberry sangria which was very good. The lobster bisque was smooth and delicious! We also had the shrimp wraps, lobster tacos, and mushroom ravioli. We finished off the dinner with the crème brûlée which was excellent! I will definitely go back to this restaurant again and again!
The person that greeted us and seated us was very nice. Our table was waiting for us when we arrived which I always appreciate when you have a reservation. Everyone enjoyed what they ate. The grilled brozino was excellent along with the Brussel sprouts and mushroom risotto. Also at our table the lobster taco got rave reviews and the osso bucco. Only complaint was the service was very slow.
Have always wanted to try this place - can see it from the train. I was happy they participated in the LI Restaurant week so got a slight discount. Very attentive but not intrusive wait staff. Extensive drink list if that is a priority to a diner. Tone of place was relaxed yet emphasis on excellence in quality as well as service. Pumpkin ale with brown sugar on the rim of glass (classy) Leek and fennel soup, chicken cordon bleu with fresh haricots, and the real super treat was (drumroll please) the Pumpkin Creme brûlée! So unbelievably smooth, creamy and delicious. They have burgers too. The only nit picky thing was that it was too shadowy and dimly lit. I hope to repeat Heirloom Tavern again soon.
We have never been to this restaurant but decided to try it for restaurant week. The seating was a bit cramped and the acoustics a bit loud, but the vibe was friendly and cozy. We especially liked the pumpkin ravioli appetizer and the skirt steak entree. We forced ourselves to eat dessert, and the winner there was the profiteroles. Of note, too, were the mixed drinks which though expensive were worth it. We will be back to try other yummy looking choices from their menu. A new neighborhood find!!
Decent place with good food but it's very very loud. We came here for my wife's birthday and felt a bit uncomfortable for that occasion. Also, we were offered a seat in the back where waiters pass-by or on a high-table near the bar upfront - neither one is ideal for a birthday dinner!
We love the place maybe they should place noise ceiling cushions up or wall absorptions so a date night can actually happen without shouting at each other, kind of take the romance out of the date saying WHAT, WHAT, I DID NOT HEAR YOU, WHAT DID YOU SAY. Loud is not sexy.
First visit to Heirloom Tavern was Great!
Had a wonderful meal, all the dishes we tried were fantastic. Fried calamari was perfectly executed (light and crispy, not greasy) with 3 nice sauces; spicy shrimp lettuce wraps were AMAZING, almost ordered a second round! Steak au poivre and blackened swordfish were well executed and very tasty. Skipped desert but cappuccino and Italiano coffee cocktail were great. Nice wine list as well. Cozy, casual atmosphere that was very enjoyable. All in all, we look forward to coming back!
