Great food excellent service and great place for a date

My husband and I always enjoy having a date for lunch at the Hefner Grill. The service is wonderful, the shrimp is the best in OKC, the view of the Hefner Lake wonderful, and the atmosphere inside is perfect.

It was our 1st time dining out since March 13, 2020. We celebrated our anniversary with friends. Hefner Grill requires everyone to wear a mask and it appeared the protocols were followed by staff and patrons.

Great view of Lake Hefner, wait staff efficient and very friendly, food was good, as always. Never a disappointment.

It was nice the only thing was they had an abundance of wait staff always walking in front of the view. The margaritas were good accept filled with a lot of ice so not much in them . Our server was great.

The windows had bird poo running down them and there was either bird poo or dog poo on the deck. No matter what still love this place

We had a great booth with a great view of the water. Everything we ordered was wonderful, especially the steak and toffee cake! Also, it was quiet and easy to hear one another.

We always enjoy the Hefner Grill. Food and service are very good, and it is a pleasant place to watch the sun set over Lake Hefner.

Hefner Grill is one of our favorite spots to eat in OKC. The food is always delicious and the service is great. We had a window seat by the lake and the view was awesome.

Great to see that Hefner Grill not only has great food and great service but love its following all protocols for social distancing. At 84 and 83 when we do go out with our daughter on Sundays for brunch we want to be safe. Also do not want to miss our carafe of mimosas.

Date night with the Mrs. We had a wonderful experience together. Food was ideal, service was attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely go again!

Everything was excellent… I’m pretty hard to please so completely, but it really was… I can’t wait to go back!

I have yet to have a bad experience at Hefner Grill. I love the diversity of the menu. The food is great and so is the German chocolate cake! Great wine selection too.

The food and service have always been superlative! We have especially appreciated the measures the restaurant and staff have taken to ensure safety during Covid times. Top it off with views of the lake at sunset, and it makes for a perfect evening.

Out of state friends came to OK to celebrate my birthday! I reserved an (if possible) table with a great view of the sunset. Everyone we came in contact was professional and very nice! We had a wonderful time and everyone’s food was delicious!

We were very impressed with the staff, the meal, and the view at Hefner grill! The fried oysters were amazing and the shrimp was huge ! We are already planning on going back next weekend!!

We had not been to a dinner out in OKC since before the COVID surge in November so it was a quick jaunt to find quality seafood. The OPEN TABLE booking made the experience painless, good social distance between tables and all staff wore masks appropriately. We had two wait staff greet us an take drink orders after being seated and letting us know our server would be with us shortly. They were very attentive and checked with us for refills, to go boxes and dessert before bring our check. We felt appreciated and enjoyed the quiet (except for a screaming baby two tables over that could not be calmed. Good was good, not huge portions though. A bit expensive for frequent meals out but a nice Grouper and Haddock is not found everywhere on OKC.

Dinning in was safe and I totally felt comfortable with the environment. It was truly a wonderful dining experience and the food and staff was great!

We were celebrating our (out of town) friends' 51st anniversary. We had so much fun and loved every minute. We had an unobstructed view of the lake, great wait-staff (shoutout to Wesley). It was wonderful. We were there at 1-ish in the afternoon. We ordered oysters on the half shell, which came out partially frozen, but they made it right....so we believe that responding to diners' concerns in a positive way negates anything negative. Otherwise, we ordered salmon salads, gumbo, an an iceberg wedge salad.. Awesome. The dessert we shared---Key Lime Pie---was great---actually tart and creamy....We'd go back just for that.

My wife and I went to Hefner Grill for our anniversary and the food and service was outstanding. The Parmesan Haddock is a “must try”. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the food items. I booked through open table and made last minute changes and they still honored it. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for great food and service.

The food was outstanding and a wonderful experience for our Anniversary. We had a reservation and I stated on the reservation that it was our Anniversary. It would have been nice when we walked in for them to acknowledge that to my wife or for the server to have acknowledged our Anniversary. Also, since it was our Anniversary and we had made a reservation, I was expecting a better view.

This was our first time going here. All of the food was hot and delicious . Shrimp tad overcooked. Other than that no complaints. Our waitress was attentive to our needs.
I had bayou shrimp. The sauce and rice were amazing. I also got the Ratatouille and the sauce on that was delightful

Phenomenal! Beautiful scenery of Lake Hefner. Wonderful drinks, great food and portions! Definitely recommend the Crab Cakes and Appletini!

Mom mom and I were celebrating her birthday. Everything was perfect! Hefner Grill never disappoints.

Smaller menu than the last time we were here....not social distancing the tables, there were people in every single booth, and the booth behind/above us at the bar. Food was good, as always, service was mostly prompt and friendly, just a little disappointed at the smaller menu and no specials. Maybe because we were there for lunch this time. We will be back when it warms up, to enjoy the patio. Still love the weekend brunch!

We had an amazing meal with excellent service. I had the Cod and my husband had fish and chips after the crab cake appetizer. Every dish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our servers took great care and offered suggestions when we were decided between dishes. Excellent cocktails as well!

Since a large family gathering wasn’t wise this year, we chose to meet on the patio at Hefner Grill. We were not disappointed! This should be our new holiday tradition. I chose the Grouper Veracruz with Ratatouille instead of rice. I cleaned my plate! My three dining guests chose the fried catfish, my husband’s personal favorite. The servers were attentive, the view of Lake Hefner outstanding, and the food perfect. We will be back!

It was a wonderful meal and service. Took my husband here for his 50th and loved it.

A sunny day in December in Oklahoma City cannot be ignored. We enjoyed a lovely meal while watching the sunset on the west side of Lake Hefner. Everything was simply perfect.
