Having read the reviews with 5 stars and the setting looking nice and intimate I went for dinner w my girlfriend. I personally misread the last serving time as 10 p.m. but on Wednesday it was 9 p.m. and my reservation was at 8:45... that said the person working there appeared annoyed and was very stern and stiff and not warm and welcoming.. simply wanting to probably close and go home...not enjoyable of an experience. The worst is when you feel like you're an interruption of their day as opposed to being treated like a guest.
The food was okay and quite bland. We had to ask for salt and pepper to be delivered to the table and again asked for peppermill as opposed to a shaker. Zero sensitivity from the waiter perhaps he was the owner as well... the only staff person there.
The description of the brussel sprouts on the menu was very interesting, which we ordered but when delivered were saturated in oil... perhaps an issue of them sitting all day/ night until delivery to the table... clearly not made fresh nor to order. The food quality was unexpectedly fair verses the great reviews. At the end of the day with a $65 bottle of wine. And tip my experience was $175 for two people not $$ as described on the OpenTable app. In addition I shared with him (only staff) I was an OpenTable reservation (the app prepared me to believe the place was going to be busy) and he did not check me in so I have still not received the proper points. Reinforcing his attitude being more disturbed we were there... than welcoming.
They need to learn that the customer is the reason they are there and not some type of interruption; a key to the preservation of their business.
Final review: Not recommended
Wonderful food, outstanding service with a unique menu.
This is a great place. I'm always torn about giving really good reviews to restaurants that i don't want to be overcrowded, but this time I must! Four of us came fairly early for dinner so it was quiet and we could chat with the server as well. We were choosing a place as a compromise between meat eaters and vegetarians (and note that vegans, not just vegetarians, can eat very well there). It's a small menu, with very wide and interesting choices of tastes and ingredients both. We ordered turkey meatloaf, vegan eggplant/mushroom pasta "Bolognese," and Moroccan chickpea stew. plus two desserts (the chocolate bread pudding and something recommended by another diner called "Malva" pudding). All the food and service were excellent We will definitely return here often. And amazingly, It's very reasonably priced, too.
We’ve been coming here for years and absolutely love it every time. The remodel is gorgeous.
We had brunch here and it was great. The service was quick. The owner was our server and he was super nice an attentive. I cane with my friend Francisco. The meal with the eggs and Brussels sprouts were amazing and so were the blueberry pancakes. Yum yum. I will definitely be back.
The food is always fresh and prepared with care. Served simply and artfully. WONDERFUL desserts to finish off a delightful meal.
Love this place so so much! An LA classic. Tucked in comfort, like you’re eating at home, but your your mom/husband/wife just so happens to be a gourmet chef. The BEST!
I love the innovative menu and the freshness of all ingredients!! Great relaxing ambiance’s
Not enough options on the menu. Pancakes were very tasty, but thick.
Such a cute little place. Love the unpretentiousness of this restaurant given where it is and food is inexpensive. We went for brunch on a Saturday and It wasn’t busy either, so great place for a chatty brunch.
Lovely spot, creative and tasty food. This is my favorite new spot for lunch. Quiet enough to have some privacy and I look forward to trying everything on the menu.
Disappointed as me and my husband were looking forward to coming here and wanted to try this place for a while.
The lighting on the patio deck is only from a street light across the street and is very harsh. There was also no music playing on the patio, despite the existence of speakers.
Hedley's has great atmosphere and an extremely cute interior. The banana pancakes I ordered were very filling and the bread appetizer was a great start. The only issue I had was that the bacon I ordered as a side was too crispy for my taste.
A wonderful little spot where the food is fresh, tasty, healthy and absolutely delicious. I love to go there and lounge for brunch or lunch. The desserts are yummy!
Nice local restaurant. Outstanding breakfast, friendly service
It’s a cute neighborhood restaurant, but service is slow. Food isn’t too tier for that area. It’s nothing special. Cute to have a glass of wine or a date on the patio to people watch.
Food is consistently good. Jeffrey takes good care of his customers without being intrusive. We keep going back for more!
Restaurant was closed. Horrible to have availability to book a reservation, with doors locked and not a person in sight.
This is the second time I’ve been to Hedley’s and I was not disappointed. The service was great and the food is exceptional. A neighborhood atmosphere settled in the midst of busy WeHo!
Love this spot - the salmon salad w/ lentils is absolutely one of my local brunch go-to's in Weho
Delicious, pretty decor, nice service. The Brussels sprouts were a standout. Will be back for business lunches and date night.
The food at Hedley's is always good. My friend had the burger with no bun and I had the burrito bowl. Both were enjoyable. The burrito bowl was particularly well done and delicious. Because of the early hour of our dinner, it was very quiet and lovely to be sitting on the patio out front. We also had attentive service.
Loved it! Delicious salad with salmon. A real treat! Quite and tasteful.
Best blueberry pancakes ever!
A sweet spot for everyday dining. A very small space/tables so don’t bring a big purse!
We went for dinner, which is unusual because it's such a lunch place. Felt like we'd stumbled on a hidden gem, even though we know it well, but the atmosphere was totally different. Food was terrific as always. In short, TERRIFIC date spot for dinner, still a winner for a business lunch
Great food! Great service!
Delicious food. Fresh ingredients. Attentive service. Great meal!
I love Hedley's. Great food, service and a lovely environment. Perfect for a work lunch or dinner, or intimate date spot.
Best Restaurant in West Hollywood!
cute little neighborhood spot. The Mexican scramble is fantastic.
I think it’s a nice cozy spot but just too expensive for the portions and type of food.
Love Hedley's; why would anyone go to Sur when there is a much better option a short distance away? Classic small bistro with a good atmosphere, personal service and great food.
Nice place, location and staff. The food is good and drinks are not expensive like other restaurants.
Came across this place on an Open Table search. Food was very good - burger done right, salmon on point, and great surprise on the turkey loaf. Service was solid - good dialogue with Jeff the owner who gave us some more tips of other places to try - everything came out in timely manner, no pretentiousness.
Will be back
One of my favorite places, so charming and the food is phenomenal. Excellent wine selection too!
The owner is lovely and the ambience cant be beat.
I love it! great ambience and selection of dish, the staff is friendly , definitely i will come back!
One of my new favorite local spots in WeHo. Loved the salmon/lentil salad amazing.
