The food is good. Price has increased a bit. Overall a good place to eat!
This has become our favorite “after youth basketball” brunch spot.
The menu offers few full dinner choices, I ordered the only item I was interested in from a " a la cart " menu then had to order the side at additional costs. The food was good but ended up fairly pricey. I will think twice before returning. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from in Kirkland.
We went to brunch for our anniversary, along with our young daughter. While the food was good, the service left something to be desired. Our waitress seemed uninterested in our table, only came by to take order and then leave a check. Never a smile or a thank you. Disappointing.
Food was okay, menu said specials were posted on wall when asked waitperson said there were no specials which was confusing.
Had a very slow waitress. Not very personable either. Terrible service, food was just ok.
Always good food. Not poor, but leisurely service.
I like this restaurant, the food is always hot, fresh and good. Would recommend to anyone.
Would have given 5 on food, if it weren’t for the Bloody Mary’s we ordered. I don’t know what we got, but they were not at all what I expected. Didn’t even finish mine and it was a $9 drink. Otherwise we loved the vegan and vegetarian options!! Will be back, and will stick with wine.
This was top 3 worst dinners Ive had. The waitress was kind but never checked back after delivering the food, one dish was completely missing! The steak was luke warm/room temp at best and not cooked correctly. The baked potato was advertised to have sour cream, green onion, and bacon and we were served the smallest baked potato that had absolutely NOTHING on it, completely plain!! The asparagus was undercooked and hard/crunchy. Overall the service was horrible, we were never able to catch our waitress to let her know of the issues with the food, as she completely disappeared - never even walking by. Our water was never even refilled. Absolutely so disappointing as we wanted to celebrate the New year with dinner at Hectors and we were sorely disappointed.
First time at Hector's after a friend's recommendation. Staff was friendly and the service was great. Food was very tasty too, I met a friend for brunch. My only complaint was that we got seated by the front door and it was freezing every time the door opened - which was often.
Went on a Sunday night for dinner and the wait staff was very good and the food was very good, but our food took a while to arrive. We noticed other customers were having the same experience, even though they were not real busy. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner.
Great food! Wonderful service... Enjoyed the lovely brunch!
The food was horrible, the service was even worse. I would never recommend this restaurant nor ever go back. Unbelievable how incompetent the waitress was and how bad the food tasted!
Loved the Farmer's omelette. Everybody loved their brunch selections except that none of us liked the hash browns. They are tasteless, boring and kind of soggy.
The staff were excellent and the food the same. I had to increase the number in my reservation at the last minute and they were so nice and able to accommodate us. The food was delicious. Will definitely return.
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner, and it was really enjoyable. The menu had several entree choices. We chose the traditional turkey dinner. It was good, and ample. My only complaint was the cranberry relish--it was so tart I almost could,t swallow the bite I took. I would have enjoyed regular cranberries.
Our server, Salena, was terrific. Such a happy gal & her service was great.
Food and beverages were excellent. Great dinner selection and food prep was excellent. Service was not great. After being seated, I waited close to 15 mins for so.eone to come and take drink order. During dinner my water glass sat empty for ling periods of time and I had to flag down someone other my server to fill it up. Also did not have anyone come by during meal to check on things.
Very good 4 course Thanksgiving dinner. Each course was delish, from the appetizers to dessert.
Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. Serving staff were friendly and stellar. We will return many times.👌
The food was good, but seemed a tab overpriced. However the wait staff was friendly and accommodating
Wonderful food, excellent service, and inventive dishes. A waitress for Switzerland-- I don't recall her name-- made the experience incredible.
Celebrated birthday brunch here - cute little space in downtown Kirkland. Food was timely and delicious. We shared the weekend cinnamon roll. It was not a typical cinnamon roll texture, it was almost croissant like, but still tasty. I order the NOLA scramble and it was yummy and well-seasoned. My fiance had the biscuits and gravy and we were huge fans of the gravy. Even though it was a sit down restaurant, the service was quick, in and out within 45 minutes.
Hector's is a great spot for weekend breakfast. The eggs benedict and two-two-two are favorites. After being seated, with a 9AM reservation, no server visited our table for a good 6 minutes. I finally asked if there was a server available and the hostess got us some service. Michaela, our server, was courteous and polite but appeared to have to many tables. Maybe the shifts for additional staff doesn't start until after 9AM on Sundays. Still would recommend for breakfast!!!
The menu online is not what they actually serve
The online menu is wrong...So we were kind of taken off guard by that… But we found some selections that were delicious and very very filling. I will go back for breakfast or lunch to try them out, dinner was great
Our meal was awful....no flavor..( we got burgers)..the cocktails were overpriced and not very good...it has gone down hill really fast..
We were seated right away and the service was perfect. The food wasn't quite as good as it has been before. It was very salty and the quality was only fair. I think it's more of a supplier issue and not the cooks.
Went for my brother's birthday breakfast. Lots of good breakfast choices, we had an omlette, a couple scrambles and huevos rancheros. The waitress was friendly and never made us feel rushed even though they were busy and we stayed to have an extra cup of coffee while we visited. A very comfortable place, with parking - a plus!
The restaurant smelled so bad, it was a bad odor in the whole restaurant that was not food odor.. The food was terrible, the calamari was as dry as jerky and my whole party had stomach aches after!
We went to Hector's on Saturday with a 7:30 reservation, but arrived around 7pm. We waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes before a bus-boy finally came and asked us if we were just 2. I replied that we had a reservation, and then he ran off to the back to find someone else to help us. Five minutes later we got seated by a woman who said it was no problem to seat us early.
We were then ignored by every employee in the restaurant - we watched tables who were sat after us get service while no one even made eye contact with us. After a total of 25 minutes from walking in the door, we got up and left. We ended up at Bull and Bottle across the street and it was a great decision, we'll definitely be going back there.
To top it all off, Hector's informed OpenTable that we were a no-show for our reservation. Sorry, Hectors, but *you* were the no-show.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Milagro next door and Bull and Bottle across the street are far superior options in the same price point.
The menu since I last went to hectors is very very abbreviated. Very few entrées to choose from. If his turned in the mostly a bar menu. A place for appetizers and a drink
we must of waited 15 minutes before the server came. Very slow service overall. The food was just all right. Nothing to brag about.
Very poor Fried Calamari, do go for that one. too dry and skinny. It's also served over a lettuce mattress to show more volume :-(
the entre was also dry so be careful with the fried items
Very disappointing When we suggested that they should have told us that their enormous ice-cream sundae was way too large for 1 person, the waiter countered that it wasn't too much for him. The romaine in the caesar was limp and the dressing was skimpy. The roll used for the French dip was stale. And they no longer serve the meatloaf they used to be known for.
Terribly long wait for food, and the kids' pancakes tastes like they were under a heat lamp for way too long. Couldn't keep my water glass full... will not be back any time soon.
We ate outside at Hectors because we had our dog with us. They say they have a dog friendly patio, but it's up the back near the rubbish bins and the rear of the kitchen, not ideal. They have a whole sunny patio but don't allow dogs there, so there are only a couple of designated dog friendly tables, what's the point!
Hector's is a great place to grab some food. Great for brunch, lunch, or dinner.
First time using Open Table. Arrived at Hectors and they had my name. Let me be seated before my friend joined me which I appreciated.
Cinnamon roll (only available on weekends) was delicious. They split the entree for my friend and I.
Food and service were good.
Would go back and would use Open Table again.
First of all, we had a 12:00 reservation and were not seated until after 12:20. The hostess didn't seem to know what she was doing and never apologized for the delay. Our waitress as well took her time getting to our table, and after ordering, our food took forever to arrive. When it came we noticed that my daughter's meal (bitterness noodles) was an incredibly small portion, you could see the bottom of the plate. Now let me say that my kids are not big eaters and even this was too small amount for her, especially for $7 which includes nothing else! My meal was dry and I flavorful, and my husband had the same to say of his crab Benedict. We've eaten here before and had great service and no problem with the food, but we will not be going back.
