Good variety on menu
Little bit better than average food
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
Excellent wedge salad, Brussels sprouts and Filet Mignon. Friends had Beef Stroganoff (A+) and flat iron steak (B). Demi glacé sauce and peppercorn sauce were both excellent. Would have loved to sit on patio but they closed it even though it was a nice evening. Ambiance inside was good though.
Service was extremely slow even though restaurant was not busy at all. Our waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu. The in-house menu didn’t match the menu loaded on open table, so we were disappointed that there were missing items that had made our decision to try the restaurant in the first place. Our waitress spent the entire time chatting with someone in the kitchen and rarely checked on us. The food was just ok, the overall experience wasn’t enough for us to go back.
The ONLY thing good was the bus boy who was very attentive with refilling our water.
One of the few places you can make a reservation for breakfast! Great for people who who have different food preferences/allergies, as they have tons of substitutes available.
We arrived near the end of happy hour. Our waitress was gracious and rushed our order in just before the closure of happy hour. We received good service and were happy with our meal. However, there was a family in a booth behind me with a very noisy and rambunctious child who they did not control. 🤨
My associate and I both opted for the eggs Benedict which was excellent as was the service.
The food was great but we received terrible service. It definitely had us feeling like we were being racial profiled. We had a reservation and we had to wait almost 15 minutes before our waitress greeted us (didn’t apologize about the wait) and to get water. She was helping her other tables that were white customers and passed us a few times. We were about to leave and complain and that’s when she came. She didn’t come over again until we were done with our food and I had my credit card out trying to make it clear we were ready to go! Such terrible service!! Which is too bad because the food is so good but we will not be returning.
I think this spot could use a reality tv makeover.
Hostess seemed indifferent to my Open arable reservation: even if not needed, points are earned, so please acknowledge.
Dust! It’s been many weeks since the dust has been cleaned on the ledge along the booth seating. I was tempted to use my finger to scrawl “wash me”...
Food was bland. Link sausage- bleh.
Coffee was very weak.
Server never came back to check in. It was 9 am and not busy until we left. She had time.
The food was far too salty and the silverware and glasses were not fully rinsed, if not actually dirty! Not up to local standards..
We love the food & always enjoy the restaurant & those that take care of us. We live in the south end at Lake Tapps now & moved 35 years ago but love to come back to Kirkland to have dinner at Hectors.
Thanks & keep it up
Service is hit or miss here. This time it was a big miss. She never even smiled and hostess was on her phone every time I looked. Food though is always delicious. Had my favorite brunch of smoked salmon Benedict. Tried the peach sangria who h was amazing too. Great brunch food. Wish the service was more consistent. Doesn't anyone manage the dining room???
Horrible service, will never come again.
Took 45minutes to get our drinks.
The appetizers came first, no drinks, and no plates.
Had to call the manager and she gave bad excuses about the delay with the drinks.
The entrees came at the same time as the plates for the appetizers, and way after all the appetizers were gone.
Then when they split the bill they did it all wrong.
There was no compensation, no discount for our complaints and disapointment.
Food OK, drinks no good, and disorganized, horrible service.
Will never come back.
Everything was great!!! My granddaughter enjoyed ourselves. The food was good, and our waitress was very pleasant, courteous, and helpful.
It took over 45 minutes to get our food after ordering, we were kindly offered a discount off our meal, but were disappointed when the food was still cold. (Like they had forgotten about part of our order and let the other part get cold) Great outdoor seating and the food (that was warm) was quite delicious!
Recently moved south and frequently visit with friends at Hector’s. Good food, friendly staff. Patio is excellent
Salmon Benedict and Classic Benedict very tasty.
Raul was attentive and friendly .
Mid Sunday morning brunch
was relaxing and worked out well .
Thank you !
Cool brunch date, recommend to minmosa
As a first timer to this restaurant on a Fathers Day, I would not recommend this please to anyone. The waitress didn’t properly welcome us and didn’t even share her name so the experience was really basic and food was basic also. Pancake was thick with a cornbread like texture. No lake view and parking was hard to find even though they advertise to have free parking.
We're sorry that your first visit with us was less than extraordinary. We do have a pretty extensive menu and are confident you'll find something you like on a second visit. We apologize for not being clear on our parking situation. We'll try to be more upfront about that going forward.
food was good, the down side they brought out the main while we were still eating our salad so it got cold just sitting on the table.
The people joining my table were late due to the ferry schedule. Hector's staff was very accommodating and understanding. We started late and had to complete our meal quickly due to a flight. The service was great. Timely and helpful. Excellent food as well. Argula salad, avocado on toast and a club sandwich. I have been to Hector's many times. Never disappointed.
the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. the food was decent but was slow coming out of the kitchen. not sure what was happening that night.
Great Kirkland gathering place anytime/ any occasion. Good food, great & friendly service, good value👍
It was a great . We really enjoyed ourselves at the restaurant. The food was excellent, with the Bloody Mary's being amazing. Thanks for everything. KM
Excellent quality food and great service consistently!
We went during happy hour. My burger was great as was the price. My wife had the fish tacos and they were good but not really special. The servers were very nice however it seemed to take a longer time than expected for our food and drinks considering how slow the restaurant was when we arrived. 5:45PM Sat. I would definitely go back and try again.
Father and son time
Great food, good vibe. Will definitely go again.
They have a wonderful puppy patio that is open in the summer! 🐶💗
We like Hector's but were disappointed in their pancakes. They were like a load of lead, no light and fluffy cakes here. Only ate half. The porridge and avocado toast breakfasts at our table were hits, though.
Wings were over cooked, food was bland and uneventful. Service was slow even though it wasn’t busy.
Loved the avocado toast on GF bread!! Great spot to meet friends for breakfast!
my husband and I went for Valentines day . he hadn't been there and I really wanted a place that was quiet, good food, and it was cozy.. Hector's had all three, he had the fish and chips and I had the French dip, and the cheese tray oh my gosh it was so good honestly we were full after the cheese and crackers, fruit etc. but we got about half our dinner finished and took the rest of it home and my tiramisu. We met the chef"s and told them we loved the meal and will definately be back.
Excellnt food and service._cxxxxxxxxccccccccccxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_xxxxxxxxxx_xx
This is not the place for us to go for date night. It is a nice place but it's not the place for us to go as a romantic couple.
Excellent food, friendly & fast service, cheerful atmosphere! Our leisurely Sunday brunch was marvelous at Hectors- We will definately return and tell others recommend Hectors to family and friends!
Made reservations for two, 2 days before, on a Sat. at 10am. Was immediately seated by friendly hostess - waitress was very attentive - food came out quickly, hot & tasty! Great variety of breakfast meals to select from. Too much food for me to finish - got a doggy bag, which I promptly forgot ... but they came running outside to bring it to me just before getting into my car. Plenty of free parking behind restaurant (although it was early). I'll be back!
New year eve
Very slow service. Most of the food was tasty but my filet was well-done (I asked for medium rare). We arrived at 7 pm - dinners didn’t arrive until almost 9 pm.
Quality of food has markedly declined which is rather disappointing . We visit the restaurant on a regular basis . I had hobo scrambled and didn’t feel too good over the weekend .
We showed up they said dining room was closed I told her we had reservations and she said “well you must have just made them”. (She, being the unprofessional manager on duty walking around wearing her coat and purse as if she couldn’t wait to get the last person out of the dinning room so she could go home.) I did 20 minutes prior. Why should this be an issue, you accepted my reservation? There were still tables with people seated who hadn’t even gotten their food yet. I questioned this and she would not budge. Said we could sit in the bar but only could order from the bar menu. We decided to sit and try an appetizer but that was not why we came there. They are trying to bring new items to the menu but then can’t even deliver on what was being offered. We asked the gal about one and she flat out said she would not recommend it. Then started telling us about a really good place down the street. We ordered something and what came was not as described on the menu to the point of not even being made with the same ingredients. We attempted another one and same disappointment. They are cutting corners to try and save money and hope you do not notice. Like substituting truffle oil instead of actual truffles etc. My drink wasn’t even made as described. If the key ingredient is a sprig of rosemary, it better have that sprig. When I questioned it, I was told they were out and it was just a garnish. I beg to differ, especially when that was described in the menu and makes quite a difference in the taste. When the manager came over to “check in” on us, we expressed all of the above and she argued with what was made for us verses what the menu said. If the menu said Light Tempura Batter you don’t come out with a heavy Beer Battered item. She then continued on with a sob story of the struggles they are having keeping good staff in the kitchen etc because of pay. WOW not my problem. I can tell you turning a couple down for dinner isn’t getting them any brownie points either.
The crab Benedict was a little strange. The crab wasn’t as fresh as I thought it would be.
