Hector's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Would have given 5 on food, if it weren’t for the Bloody Mary’s we ordered. I don’t know what we got, but they were not at all what I expected. Didn’t even finish mine and it was a $9 drink. Otherwise we loved the vegan and vegetarian options!! Will be back, and will stick with wine.
This was top 3 worst dinners Ive had. The waitress was kind but never checked back after delivering the food, one dish was completely missing! The steak was luke warm/room temp at best and not cooked correctly. The baked potato was advertised to have sour cream, green onion, and bacon and we were served the smallest baked potato that had absolutely NOTHING on it, completely plain!! The asparagus was undercooked and hard/crunchy. Overall the service was horrible, we were never able to catch our waitress to let her know of the issues with the food, as she completely disappeared - never even walking by. Our water was never even refilled. Absolutely so disappointing as we wanted to celebrate the New year with dinner at Hectors and we were sorely disappointed.
First time at Hector's after a friend's recommendation. Staff was friendly and the service was great. Food was very tasty too, I met a friend for brunch. My only complaint was that we got seated by the front door and it was freezing every time the door opened - which was often.
Went on a Sunday night for dinner and the wait staff was very good and the food was very good, but our food took a while to arrive. We noticed other customers were having the same experience, even though they were not real busy. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner.
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner, and it was really enjoyable. The menu had several entree choices. We chose the traditional turkey dinner. It was good, and ample. My only complaint was the cranberry relish--it was so tart I almost could,t swallow the bite I took. I would have enjoyed regular cranberries.
Our server, Salena, was terrific. Such a happy gal & her service was great.
Food and beverages were excellent. Great dinner selection and food prep was excellent. Service was not great. After being seated, I waited close to 15 mins for so.eone to come and take drink order. During dinner my water glass sat empty for ling periods of time and I had to flag down someone other my server to fill it up. Also did not have anyone come by during meal to check on things.
Celebrated birthday brunch here - cute little space in downtown Kirkland. Food was timely and delicious. We shared the weekend cinnamon roll. It was not a typical cinnamon roll texture, it was almost croissant like, but still tasty. I order the NOLA scramble and it was yummy and well-seasoned. My fiance had the biscuits and gravy and we were huge fans of the gravy. Even though it was a sit down restaurant, the service was quick, in and out within 45 minutes.
Hector's is a great spot for weekend breakfast. The eggs benedict and two-two-two are favorites. After being seated, with a 9AM reservation, no server visited our table for a good 6 minutes. I finally asked if there was a server available and the hostess got us some service. Michaela, our server, was courteous and polite but appeared to have to many tables. Maybe the shifts for additional staff doesn't start until after 9AM on Sundays. Still would recommend for breakfast!!!
Went for my brother's birthday breakfast. Lots of good breakfast choices, we had an omlette, a couple scrambles and huevos rancheros. The waitress was friendly and never made us feel rushed even though they were busy and we stayed to have an extra cup of coffee while we visited. A very comfortable place, with parking - a plus!
We went to Hector's on Saturday with a 7:30 reservation, but arrived around 7pm. We waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes before a bus-boy finally came and asked us if we were just 2. I replied that we had a reservation, and then he ran off to the back to find someone else to help us. Five minutes later we got seated by a woman who said it was no problem to seat us early.
We were then ignored by every employee in the restaurant - we watched tables who were sat after us get service while no one even made eye contact with us. After a total of 25 minutes from walking in the door, we got up and left. We ended up at Bull and Bottle across the street and it was a great decision, we'll definitely be going back there.
To top it all off, Hector's informed OpenTable that we were a no-show for our reservation. Sorry, Hectors, but *you* were the no-show.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Milagro next door and Bull and Bottle across the street are far superior options in the same price point.
Very disappointing When we suggested that they should have told us that their enormous ice-cream sundae was way too large for 1 person, the waiter countered that it wasn't too much for him. The romaine in the caesar was limp and the dressing was skimpy. The roll used for the French dip was stale. And they no longer serve the meatloaf they used to be known for.
We ate outside at Hectors because we had our dog with us. They say they have a dog friendly patio, but it's up the back near the rubbish bins and the rear of the kitchen, not ideal. They have a whole sunny patio but don't allow dogs there, so there are only a couple of designated dog friendly tables, what's the point!
First time using Open Table. Arrived at Hectors and they had my name. Let me be seated before my friend joined me which I appreciated.
Cinnamon roll (only available on weekends) was delicious. They split the entree for my friend and I.
Food and service were good.
Would go back and would use Open Table again.
First of all, we had a 12:00 reservation and were not seated until after 12:20. The hostess didn't seem to know what she was doing and never apologized for the delay. Our waitress as well took her time getting to our table, and after ordering, our food took forever to arrive. When it came we noticed that my daughter's meal (bitterness noodles) was an incredibly small portion, you could see the bottom of the plate. Now let me say that my kids are not big eaters and even this was too small amount for her, especially for $7 which includes nothing else! My meal was dry and I flavorful, and my husband had the same to say of his crab Benedict. We've eaten here before and had great service and no problem with the food, but we will not be going back.
Hector's was pretty good, the chopped salad I had was a little heavy on the lettuce which I couldn't even come close to finishing. Others in my group had less healthy options which honestly looked a lot better to me.
I'd go back but stick to the "carby" side of the menu.
Not impressed - won't be returning
Fairly limited menu Service was very very slow, took 15 mins just to get our server to ask about beverages, another 15 to actually get them.
Food delivery was better, but that was served by a different person.
One item - a salad was requested to have an alternate dressing, it did not. No attempt was made to correct
Other food items were ok at best.
Food is very good at Hector's. Problem with the restaurant is service. Maybe it is a kitchen problem. Last two times dining at this restaurant has resulted in two foul ups. First I received the wrong order. I decided to take it, and it was very good, but was not what I ordered. On this occasion the main orders came and then they tried to bring the salads afterwards. We declined them. As stated, the food is good, and management in both instances was very gracious about the mistakes. But this is no way to run a restaurant.
Great food and nice servers, Herbert we were there on a Sunday are 1:00 and Iin a sunny day and it was packed so the service was very slow and the noise level was deafening with crying babies (no one's fault of course) and people taking over each other. Couldn't wait to leave. I would go back but but not on such s busy day.
