Waitress was fabulous
Livr the food and service always feels like grandma house cozy and the heaters gave you that warm fuzzy feeling on A cold.night it was wonderful. Tuscan Fries you gotta have it.
Dining at Hearth is always a pleasure! My daughter, her boyfriend, and I met for a meal on a cold evening in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m happy to report that it was chilly, but there were heat lamps, there was sufficient spacing between tables for social distancing, and there was great airflow. So relieved to see that their outdoor dining options were constructed with airflow in mind, unlike at so many outdoor spots that are completely enclosed, thereby defeating the whole purpose. Hearth has given as much thought to how to make things safe as they always have to constructing delicious dishes and cocktails. Marco Canora and company have managed to do what so few places have been able to do: make a delightful, delicious, and safe outdoor dining experience that will make you forget you’re in the midst of a pandemic. Genius!!!
Fantastic food. Great staff. Warm outdoor seating in January made the experience great.
The outdoor setup is pretty rickety and the heat lamp barely worked. Too bad, because a great place.
Service just as good as before COVID. Fantastic menu and space conditioned for outdoor dining. Go support this great East Village spot!
The food was delicious. I hadn't been to Hearth since my husband and i were dating a thousand years ago - and it was better than I remembered. Moreover, their effort to keep us warm (Without recreating the indoors outdoors) was terrific. I felt warm without feeling like i was breathing my neighbors exhalations. I really appreciated all the smart-decisions made. Until Covid is under control, HEARTH will be on my short-list of outdoor-dining choices.
Went 12/15 after indoor dining was banned. So my review is based on outdoor dining in December. It was my Birthday celebration so I did not want to miss the day. We ate outside. With heaters and wind panels. It was still cold, could of used stronger heaters. Still, outdoor setting very quaint. Service was exceptional. Our server was very friendly, capable and made some great suggestions. Food was sublime. Had the bean soup, so flavorful. Nice twist on the Garlic bread...made on sourdough with lemon zest. Pork ragu macaroni dish was delish. The panacotta was fair. Not the usual texture, so was not prepared for it. Overall, loved my experience!! The inside looks so cozy. Can’t wait to return, when indoor dining is back or when I don’t forget my blanket for extra warmth. DO GO!
Excellent food and service. I ordered the rabbit leg with polenta. Super recommended.
Tagliatelle was soooo delicious and service was great
Really good products turned into delicious plates. Very nice mimosa with fresh juice. Very cool waiter! Finally nice "farm to table" set up with big wooden tables, cosy.
One of the best restaurants in the city - consistently excellent food and service.
I love this restaurant so much I want to keep it to myself. Please don’t blow up my spot.
We got the tasting menu with wine pairing which was perfect! We got more food and wine than normal tasting menus. Everything was perfect, highly recommend it!
Great food, great hospitality
The food here is just reliably phenomenal. Like, always finish your plate but still wish there was more left even though it is a nice size portion phenomenal.
Wonderful food. Cozy, warm outdoor seating. Highly recommend Hearth
Consistently delicious, seasonal, and healthy food.
Every dish was unique and delicious, with marvelous pairings of flavors and ingredients. The ambiance is cozy and the staff friendly and professional, even in a pandemic.
Service and food were both excellent. We were able to sit and enjoy a leisurely brunch.
Highly recommend the chicken sandwich and the tuscan fries.
Second time coming to Hearth. It’s a truly fabulous and homey experience. Food is sensational. Wait staff is sensational. Perfect outing each time.
So cozy! Great food! A little pricey
Food is overpriced and not very good. Service was awful.

One of our rare tries at outdoor dining. They were very careful, the space felt safe and well ventilated with only 2 tables in each section. Server was friendly and careful and the food was terrific as always.
Incredible food, no-rush experience, and delicious drinks.
Always the best!
Due to covid precautions I asked for a particular table, and despite waiting an extra 30 minutes we were seated there. The food is high quality, as is the service. All of the appetizers were great and shareable (ricotta toast, pecorino and pear salad, and grilled calamari). Entrees were mixed in terms of size (giant fried chicken sandwich and mixed meats hamburger, smaller for pasta and meatballs over polenta) and all were well prepared and delicious. We had the pumpkin panna cotta which was tasty but in its texture not quite panna cotta. Thank you for a great meal.
Everything was perfect. We went for a first date and we were pleased with the food and decor.
As usual, the service was amazing. They treat you so well. The food is also so good and unique.
The best farm to table in the East Village! And the staff was so gracious.
Just love it. Waiting for heaters as winter approaches
Every bit as delicious as it’s always been!
I loved it, the service and food were outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.
Food was not good. Service was fine. It’s ok. The pandemic.
Grossly overpriced for what you get (a burger for $29 that comes with a few fingerling potatoes; 2 meatballs for $23); skip all the appetizers because a tin of anchovies and five slices of toast is not worth $16. We've all been surviving during the pandemic and cooking more at home... It's hard to go back to the days where brunch costs $70+/person.
We had an outstanding outdoor brunch--splitting the ricotta toast, and then I had the market vegetable frittata and my friend had the pork and kale ragu, as well as cookies and chocolate budino for dessert and two seasonal hot toddies. All items were delicious--fresh, flavorful, and nourishing. Hearth is our favorite restaurant in the area, and really one of the top places in NYC to dine. Outdoor seating was comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend this gem.
Food & service top notch. Best salad ever. So nice to eat in a restaurant again — one with well-spaced tables and fresh air (doors were open, though that can’t last much longer).
The gnocchi is among the best I've had anywhere in the world. A must.
Food was delicious, service was friendly, nice outdoor dining experience.
