Hands down one of my favourite restaurants in the city. We devoured everything on the table, didn't leave even one bone unchewed. The serving sizes are perfect, the presentation is gorgeous, the wine and cocktails were sublime. I love this place for special birthday dinners-- you always feel like you are taken care of. We had the spatch cock chicken (3 of us) and the gnocci as well as the chicoree salad and the sour dough bread. Loved every bite. Our waiter was a doll. Cannot rave more!!
There's a reason why this restaurant has lasted so long.--it's because the food and service are so awesome.
Beautiful space. Great service, interesting wine list, delicious food. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Good scene for brunch. Nice size portions and good service
I hate having to write a negative review of a place I’ve been going to and loved since it opened, but I fear Hearth needs a good talking to...
There was very little right about this dinner. Both of the two starters...the chicory salad and the burrata...were overdressed and honestly the burrata was kind of tasteless. On to the mains...the Pork Milanese, Meatballs and Maccheroni with Pork Ragu...all had serious issues. The Milanese was as tough as shoe leather and totally without any redeeming qualities. The Meatballs were tough and dry. Only the Maccheroni was worth eating...but it was hardly amazing...I pop out stuff like this on my own and I don’t charge 25 bucks for a plate! Finally, even the Panna Cotta we had for dessert lacked the sweetness it has had in the past. Instead, it was borderline sour, only saved by the syrup from the cherries.
I’ve had each of these dishes or variants of them many times, but this night was a total fail. An expensive total fail. It only takes once to make people move on. And that’s damned sad. So kick up the technique and flavors or I’m out.
Great place for date night. The burratta was incredible and the cocktails were solid.
Everything was great! We did the chefs tasting and beverage pairing! The dishes were well seasoned and unique to the area. Will definitely be back!
Went to celebrate our boy’s big bday, and were so very pleased with this dining experience! The food is creative and delectable! We had the tenderloin strips breaded in cauliflower enhanced crumbs as well as a delicious light gnocchi and were in heaven! We also had the anchovy appetizer and the meatball appetizer. Both were fabulous!
Lastly, to top of my son’s dinner we had the olive oil cake and the s’mores desserts. Straight out perfection! What a terrific evening. Choose this restaurant and you have made a lovely culinary choice!
Food was delicious overall, but the quality of service — both speed and poor attitude — will prohibit me from going back. Our server was unbelievably rude and unhelpful during what was a birthday meal.
Everything was perfect. We can’t wait to come back.
Good service and yummy food. We had a great time.
Unique menu, with fun seasonal choices and cocktails. Great place to celebrate a birthday as a couple!
We did the chefs tasting and sat overlooking the kitchen and it was an unforgettable evening! Every dish was delectable, the service was above and beyond and we left full and happy.
love this place, evertyime! never disappoints. the food is always spot
THE BEST - deserves a Michelin star, has the most wonderful staff. Couldn’t be much better :)
Marco's sourcing of ingredients and simple preparations are admirable and the food is excellent overall. The service we had was mediocre, sadly, which was especially disappointing as we were celebrating two special occasions.
It was my fourth visit to Hearth. The food, drinks and service have always been top notch. Highly recommend Hearth for a great dining experience.
Such a cute place! Absolutely delicious food and our waitress kept us laughing all night. Will definitely be back!
Hearth is always delicious. The service also is quite good--attentive but not hovering, and friendly. I also appreciate the restaurant's willingness to make a side dish of vegetables for our table off-menu. That said, I really wish they would bring back the grain bowl to their brunch menu--it's delicious, healthy, and very much missed. The rest of the brunch menu just doesn't compare to it--I really hope they add it back to their menu because without the grain bowl, the brunch menu just isn't as good.
The food and service was great! We went for Valentine’s day and the only downside was that we waited about 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated.
While Hearth is not an everyday meal place both in price and richness, it certainly always surprises and achieves that high quality meal you hoped for. Great place for a high quality dinner with a staff that is always efficient and friendly! Five stars!
Delicious and healthy and great options for those who need to eat gluten free! Can't wait to return.
Service is always excellent and the chef's little pre-meal surprises -- a shooter of soup or bone broth -- is a nice welcome. Staff is friendly and highly competent without being pretentious. Always a very pleasant dining experience.
I can always count on Hearth for a relaxed evening with impeccable food and a kind staff—not to mention that I can actually hear what my dining companion is saying. Thank you, Hearth, for keeping the music in the background!!
First off, Hearth is a rare gem considering how seriously they are committed to sourcing regional, regenerative or sustainable food.
Had an incredible, intimate anniversary dinner with my partner here. I was running late from JFK and knew we wouldn't make our reservation, though it ended up being super easy to reschedule a later time that night.
We had a waitress who was funny, knowledgeable, and down to earth. It made us feel so welcome how gracefully she answered our questions and shared little anecdotes about the food and wine, given how infrequently we can afford to go to such highly rated restaurants as midtwenty-somethings (ex: wtf is orange wine? or semifreddo??).
LOVED ordering a rainbow flight of wine (such an original offering!) that she helped us choose, and were so pleased with all of the dishes sent our way from the chef's tasting menu (I studied the menu extensively was sure we wouldn't be disappointed no matter what).
Easily spent three hours savoring everything. Glad we were seated on the smaller, quieter side of the restaurant away from the larger parties.
We wanted to absolutely love the meal... aspects of it were truly delicious, but each dish was inconsistent in temperature and flavor. It was GOOD but it wasn’t $$$ good. The service and ambiance was excellent. The wine pairings were also yummy. The best thing? Gnocchi. By far.
The food is very good but the portions are on the small side. I enjoyed the Broccoli soup, with chunks cheddar cheese in it, and the Olive Oil cake for dessert which was fantastic. The service was excellent. Nice room but it gets a bit noisy if you are trying have a conversation. I would go back.
An East Village fave. I hadn't been in years and I'm pleased to say, the quality and experience hasn't wavered. The Hearth Broth was outstanding as was the cod. These are "foodie" portions, but you leave feeling satisfied by the clean and discernible favors head chef Marco Canora provides. Sit at the kitchen side bar if you can, it's a real treat.
Food was expensive. Portions were small. Waitstaff was smug. Wouldn’t go again.
This is one of the greatest restaurants in NYC (or the world!). Real food, sourced from the best organic, regenerative ingredients. What all restaurants should aspire to!
We' live out of town but always try to make it to Hearth when we visit. This visit was for Restaurant Week so the price was right although it's a limited menu. The kitchen puts out a great meal. Every dish is wonderfully flavored. Service was professional with a team effort. We always highly recommend Hearth
Simply wonderful. And the value for our Restaurant Week dinner was extraordinary. Excellent service and ample portions.
Service was lovely and the ambiance welcoming!
Looking forward to enjoying a dinner there soon.
We visited for restaurant week and the food selection was delicious. The DIY Mimosa add-on was a great value too! The staff was super kind and attentive.
Leaving we knew we had been somewhere! Inventive food, great coffee, Blaufrankish rose, neat as a pin, perfectly prepared eggs.
Appetizers and dessert were delicious and good portions. The mains were too small and in terms of flavor, they were okay. I wish the mains were bigger and dessert smaller.
Loved the food here for restaurant week and our server couldn't have been nicer.
What makes Hearth so special is the people who work there. From the moment you step in the door, you feel as if you have arrived at home of a dear friend. Everyone is KIND and welcoming and you feel as if the food is made with love.
Jefferson is the best waiter ever. His recommendations were terrific, including half portions which we would never have thought of.
The staff was very attentive. The food was extremely fresh.
