Food is always great! Their garlic bread is out of this world - not your typical garlic bread, this has no cheese on this fantastic home baked bread - A MUST!!
We had a party of ten, including two children and the food and service were outstanding.
Wonderful meal as usual.
I had requested a birthday dessert surprise which was not delivered.
We were the only two people seated outdoors when the hostess seated another two-some immediately next to us (there were several other open tables). One of the two was very loud, such that we had to asked to be moved and were then re-seated, also outdoors.
The waitress was lovely.
Hearth never disappoints.. delicious! Service good,,, food outstanding, creative and fresh!! Price reasonable! Lovely! Thank you!!!
Fab food with friendly, attentive service. Great value too. Wine list is diverse with reasonable prices.
Food was good - simple things I could easily recreate from ingredients from the farmer's market. Some items were over salted and others felt like a poor value to buy out given how easy it would be to make at home. Had limited options for my dairy free friend.
Our server knew exactly what the doctor ordered! We were anticipating a call from the surgeon operating on our spouse/father and while he was unaware of that he took amazing care of us! His recommendations were spot on with crispy peas and garlic bread to start. Do not miss out on garlic bread while it sounds simple it’s always divine! Then we had pasta dishes and the sea bass and we shared everything! You really can’t go wrong here!
This was my second visit to Hearth. The first being around 15 years ago or so. We came in for the Restaurant Week menu (next time I go it will be for the real menu). The food was delicious nonetheless. If you're going for RW, definitely add on the garlic bread- it may have been the best garlic bread any of us had ever had. I did the wine pairing as well, and that was fun, but if you're going with others who want wine, I'd say that getting a good bottle or two would be better than the pairing at $26 per person. The waiter we had (Jefferson, maybe?) was so lovely. He was just a really nice and attentive person with a great personality and it made the whole evening even better. Can't wait to return!
Went there with my "lunch club"buddy and we put this in the top 10. They only opened recently for lunch, otherwise we might not have come in (they've been open for nearly 18 years and we hadn't yet eaten there-our loss). Super friendly/accommodating and the food is off the charts: inventive, flavorful and satisfying. Excellent wine choices and presentation.
Late afternoon reservation in a very pleasant ambiance with superb salad and pasta
Always good the trip from Jersey to Hearth is always worth it
Lovely but needed to remind wait staff I needed a drink. Otherwise the food is wonderful...bring back Zade's!
Hearth was delicious! We did the tasting menu for four people, and had a delicious mix of pasta, fish, pork, veggies and desserts. It’s was the perfect summer dinner - come hungry!
overall a great dinning experience, my only disappointment was the 8.00 charge for few slices of ok mediocre sourdough with a side of butter!
Wonderful options for food and drink, and a friendly staff!
Food was excellent. Service was even better. Look forward to returning.
Hearth is always on my A list for lunch and dinner. The cooking is healthy, satisfying, seasonal and of course, inventive. The young gracious hostess that greeted us this past Saturday lunch was the start of a relaxing and nurturing experience. The experience I know that makes Hearth special.
So glad you've changed up your menu again to resemble the old times. Great food last night, Jefferson always helps us and is a pro. Love the books in the bathroom!
Lovely ambiance. Great food. Attentive service. A little noisy.
Everything was absolutely delicious. A good balance of light and fresh and hearty and comforting. Highly recommend the Spritz, Garlic Bread, Sugar Snap Peas, Garganelli, Polenta, Napoleon and Warm Cookies!
We love coming to Hearth! This time we went with the bigger group and had a little trouble figuring out the tip as we split the bill multiple ways. Unlike in other restaurants, the tax for the table was incorporated into a total sum. Since you always tip on the amount WITHOUT the tax, it would be helpful to have that number listed, as well as suggested tip percentage, e.g. 15%, 18%, etc. to make it easier for guests to figure out correctly.
Food was good, but portions small
Portion size really small- 4 bites of fish for $32. 'fava bean salad' came with Lima beans instead, which was tasty, but they should have checked given the dish's title. So overall tasty, but not worth the rather high price.
Great food. Great Service. Kind of pricey. Way too noisy.
Food was great. My date, less so.
Service was slow and our waiter was not very attentive or friendly at all.
Amazing! Attentive service and so accommodating for our young one on Father’s Day! Food was also excellent!
The main courses were pretty good but the appetizers (charred snap peas and a fava bean dish) were amazing. Staff were all lovely and the mood is festive and warm.
It was a great dinner. The waiter was patient, knowledgeable and engaging. The food was interesting and unique. The wines were also well curated and tasty. We were both impressed with this relatively hidden gem on the corner 12th st and 1st Ave.
Very disappointed in this place. Food, cocktails and service were subpar at best and expensive. The dishes we ordered were all basic but not good. We had the garlic bread, charred snap peas, whole grain maccheroni, roasted half spatchcock chicken and beef & ricotta meatballs. The meatballs came 3 for $24, dry and flavorless. Ridiculous, and they didn’t even come with a piece of bread. The cocktails tasted like liquor was missing, was more of a mocktail. When we mentioned to waiter, he brought an additional shot for each drink and charged us for it. After all this, the service was atrocious and appalling. The server basically ignored us the entire time. Trust me, don’t waste your money on this place, there are plenty of good restaurants in Manhattan that deserve your business and this is not one of them. Shame on Hearth!
Consistently one of the best dining experiences in the city! Staff is knowledgeable about everything on the menu and wine list. Perfect atmosphere for any occasion!
Food, libations, wine and service were as always delicious and impeccable. Only challenge is the noise level. When spending that much for dinner I wish to be able to have conversation with those at the table without shouting. The new school in restaurant design should change this pandemonium design and opt for a more enjoyable experience.
2 of us had the same pasta dish and both of us were disappointed. We both found it too heavy for a summer dish. I only ate a 3rd of mine. Also, U always combine incredible favors & textures, that was not true with this dish.
The only other time I was not happy w/ Hearth was my Thanksgiving take out.
Every bit as fresh and vibrant as always, with excellent wine pairings suggested by the wonderful, friendly, attentive staff.
food and service were amazing. that's espresso martini, oh boy!
nice place, food and wine only OK. Was disappointed overall
Excellent! We came as a family and had the best time. From the appetizers to the main meals, we just loved it!
The pasta dishes were exquisite and the meatballs to die for. Thank you to our waiter who was amazing!
Overall wonderful experience! The food is outstanding, fresh, seasonal, delicious. Excellent service with personal attention.
Hearth was delicious. The food was great. It was tasty and interesting with high quality ingredients.
