Pizza was disappointing. Pepperoni tasted off, crust was burnt in places, cheese was overcooked deep into the crust. Specialty drink was not great either. I liked ambience tho. With a little staff training this place could rock
Consistently great food, wonderful cocktails, and friendly/conscientious service. Best restaurant in Camas/Washougal/E. Vancouver, hands down.
Excellent food and service....nice people
We are frequent visitors to the Hearth. Always great food, cheerful and helpful service, great atmosphere we often bring guests from out of town here and they are always pleased.
Our favorite restaurant in Washougal. Great food, great staff. Fantastic menu with seasonal dishes and steady favorites.
Always enjoy dining at hearth. Great people and food. Often get drinks and small plates to share. Lots of good options. Love the wood oven pizza.
Always enjoy the food and staff, great people.
Great for Washougal.. best in Washougal..
Great food but very slow service. The waitress was very pleasant but we sat without drinks for a long time and waited for food for a long time. Luckily we had some good conversation with our dining mates.
THE fish DINNERS WERE GREAT. also starter food with wine. Good friendly atmosphere.
great service and very close to home. VERY ENJOYABLE!
Our dining experience at Hearth was lovely. The food was excellent, with generous portions. Their salads are delicious and their Thai Chicken pizza was a suprising delight.
It didn't appear to be a busy night, but regardless service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back.
Always a great experience at Hearth. Good food, good drinks, good service in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Jake was great as always. Delicious food and friendly staff. Thanks Jake! :)
We like to come here for happy hour, but have also eaten from the full dinner menu. The ambiance is pleasant and the food is good - maybe not the best you've ever had, but very good. This time we had the French onion soup, the chicken satay, and the hummus plate. Plenty for two of us and all tasty.
Fantastic place to go and get good food. Once your seated the service is fabulous and food really fresh. Atmosphere good too.
The hostess on Saturday night was a very young dirty blond gal, she was friendly but she could have been dress more like she was at work rather than grocery shopping. Her plaid shirt and bun hair didn't give us the impression of clean restaurant needless to say a restaurant with food at that price. She was friendly but she should consider her wardrobe more appropriately for work, vs. Mall shopping.
A great neighborhood spot. The wood oven is the center of the experience.
Might be an idea to add a few kid meals. The cocktails were great, and the service is always good.
I can't believe that we live right here and waited this long to dine here! Hearth is my new favorite place and I look forward to going back and trying something else. I had the New York steak and it was perfect! Very tasty. I love that everything is cooked in the wood fire oven. My husband had the brisket and that was DELICIOUS! That's what I'm ordering next time we go!
Always enjoy going to the Hearth. Great food for good prices. Excellent local restaurant.
Super good as usual. Never have had anything bad to eat here. Always great tasting food everytime we go here!
Went on New Years Eve. Unfortunately, we had higher expectations based on Open-Table reviews and feedback from a friend who recommended we go. Overall, the service was quite good but didn't make up for the mediocre food. The Mahi-Mahi that I ordered was WAY over-cooked and the salad was quite bland. Solid drink menu, interesting ambiance but some additional thought really needs to go into both dish presentation and menu expansion. Based on this initial trip and having numerous other restaurants in closer proximity, we will likely not journey back anytime soon.
Wonderful service. Nice ambiance. Tables are a little close to each other. Food was terrific. Bacon wrapped dates are a great appetizer.
Had a good time . We went for our anniversary food was great.
Friendly staff,great food, great value
This was only our second visit to Hearth, and I'll say it was EXCELLENT! The beef brisket is especially tantalizing and delicious; portions are generous without being excessive, and presentation is great.
Our host/server "Jacob" was very helpful, personable and courteous as were all other staff we encountered.
Our server was sweet and efficient. Always had a smile on her face!!!
Ambiance and food are AWESOME! Service was a bit slow/scattered since they were down a server that night. Normally, however, service is very friendly and spot on! A MUST TRY when in the area!!
This restaurant had a very limited food selection. Although, it had a vast alcohol menu. The price was a tad bit steep for what we ordered. Definitely not a "bang for your buck" kind of place.
The service was alright. Not exceptional by any means.. but very quick service.
Perhaps because, although it being a Saturday night, the place was empty.
However, I'd have to say that the artisan pizza and beef streets were tasty.
Loved the food. Atmosphere and pricing is great for a date, but doesn't match the service. Classy place, great food, casual service
Excellent food and atmosphere. We had dinner there Friday night and was great. Try it out!
Excellent as always. We've never had a bad experience at Hearth. Holly is an awesome server. Food is always delicious an the specials are always new and fresh.
Wonderful restaurant, The owner, David Garcia, is the head chef and does a masterful job.
As stated on the web page:" HEARTH is designed to provide an enjoyable dining experience. We are a restaurant known for quality food, superb service and a warm ambiance; a great place to share with family and friends. "
Very true !!!!!!!
Holly Maki was outstanding in her attention to our needs.!!!
I've come to realize that this place is just uneven.
We keep going back. Love the food and casual vibe, along with being nearer to home with less traffic than going to Portland.
We've had terrible service on a couple of occasions. This time, we finally had a good server (Holly.) She was awesome. On the ball and did a great job making our meal wonderful. But, then the kitchen seemingly forgot the pasta entree which didn't come out for a full 10 minutes after the pizza my wife ordered. Worse, it was undercooked. I like al dente pasta. But, this was raw in the center. It's as if they realized they'd missed my order and rushed it. I've had the dish before. It's great. But, this time they just didn't cook the pasta through.
That said, I'll probably be going back. I like the food and all. Just don't expect consistently high quality, good service.
Third trip and it was just as good as the previous two! Delicious food, convenient location, casual yet classy atmosphere, and good prices make this a go-to restaurant me now.
Get the bacon wraped dates. Bread pudding for dessert.👍
Great. We always love going there. Beer & cocktails unique. Service always terrific.
Dave and his crew did a great job once again. And we love the fact that Dave came and said hello and thanked us for supporting him and Hearth.
We went out to dinner with our adult child/boyfriend. We enjoyed our dinner at Hearth.
The food was excellent, with items coming out of the wood fired oven cooked to perfection and very tasty.
Two repeat issues that need to be addressed:
Service - The servers are friendly and do a fair job. But on both of our visits, an order was forgotten. 1st visit was our request to have a salad course, which was completely forgotten. This time, the server forgot the mac/cheese side dish which came as we were paying the bill. At least this time we were comped for our drinks.
Timing - The entrees arrive before you have completed your salad. The kitchen needs to allow for a little more time between courses.
Otherwise, this place is a jewel north of the Columbia and a good reason to go to Washougal.
Hearth is one of our favorite places to go to get something a little special.
Holly, our server, always makes us feel welcome and has a great personality.
Fun ambiance, local art, and talented cooks who work the brick oven in the open in front of guests. Creative cocktails and an overall delicious experience!
