Food was amazing !!! Great place. Highly recommend
The muted decor of the room made it very comfortable. A view of the falls was an additional perk.
The restaurant was perfect. Food presentation and unending, various tastes in each dish made the dinner a complete joy. Add the next perfect ingredient which was our server. She was wonderfully friendly and had a great sense of humour. This, with unerring efficiency.
We will be back!
Loved the dining experience! Had the beef tenderloin, ordered medium rare and it was perfect. The mushrooms were the best I’ve ever had. My companions all had the vegetarian meal and all loved it. The staff are wonderful at the restaurant and the whole resort.
Ask for a table in the pod over the waterfall. Lovely view. Quieter. Service is incredibly attentive.
Beautiful view, wonderful service, and amazing food. I was stuffed when I left the restaurant! The portions were perfect.
I think a little more variety dishes would be helpful
This is my 8th visit and never been disappointed. The food served here is truly for foodies and created by chefs with talent. If you are a picky eater don't bother coming because this is not the place for you. Service is incredible. Atmosphere is perfect for romantic dining with that special person.
The exceptional menu was only overshadowed by the superb service. I have seldom had such a perfect evening.
Great service and ambiance. Food was ok but extremely expensive for what it was. Great wine list.
Everything was very salty. The portions were small and way overpriced.
Great food, even in offseason. Small serving of veggies, they are well prepared and delicious. I could have eaten a bucket of veg.
Lovely little spot. Food was creative a delicious, service was attentive. However, the portions for most of GE meals were a little small and generally over priced. Overall a good night out with friends.
Excellent quality food intelligently prepared. We have always found well-thought-out vegetarian options here and the environment is very pleasant. For some, it may be out of the way, but we find it well worth the country drive to eat here.
The food was incredible and the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is great and if you are celebrating a special occasion, the staff will be helpful and provide a great experience.
A special thank you Fred who made our dining very enjoyable. Fred was energetic and very helpful as well as Amy who was assistant I believe. Very charming young lady and well informed of our meal.
Wonderful staff, excellent food, amazing location and ambiance.
The environment was very quiet and nice. The rib steak was a bit pricey, but it was very large as well as tender and juicy. The kangaroo was also good, if a bit dry. Would recommend for anyone staying in the area.
Service is outdtanding. The food is very tasty but exceptionally expensive
Fabulous service and food. Our server Melody was fantastic!
It was a wonderful experience. The oxtail risotto was delicious! Our entrées were amazing and our server Melody was very personable
Another great fine dining experience at the Millcroft. An interesting menu that tasted devine, full of wonderful flavours and techniques for all 3 courses, our choices were kangaroo, venison and sable fish for the main course.
The service was spot on, we had a very knowledgable waitress.
My only disappointment was not having Chablis available this visit (a wine that is hard to find in restaurants in Canada..I am English) but a good alternative was served instead.
Now that my husband and I have moved into the area the Millcroft will be our local fine dining restaurant and we will be bringing more friends. A restaurant worth a visit even if out of area.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Lovely experience. Would go again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay. The only problem we encountered was the noise at 2 p.m. from the wedding guests outside our room (210). We also thought that the room could certainly use a much larger TV set. The service was excellent, the staff was very professional , friendly, and especially helpful. We shall return in the future. Our friend was discovering the Millcroft Inn for her 78th birthday lunch celebration. Our group enjoyed the lovely fall‘s view in the POD!
Always a pleasure to come and spend time on this property !
We will be back and do will she !
Went on a Sunday. Took over 3 hours as they had 2 servers working and the restaurant was busy. The server tried her best but could not keep up with the demand.
The 40.00 fixed menu was ridiculous as only 1 option for vegetarian soba spoonful of soup and a tiny omelette was way overpriced.
Disappointing to see 3 people standing around the check in reception desk doing nothing and the restaurant so mismanaged with staffing for kitchen and the device personal.
3 hours I won't get back so will not make that mistake again.
We went to the Millcroft for a quiet dinner. We have been a few times before since we live in the next community. But I became disabled 2 years ago and hadn't been since. I must admit the accessibility of this facility is a complete failure. 4 accessible parking spots for the whole Inn which were taken. No reserved spots in the main parking area for us to park so the car could be closer. No seating area outside to wait while the car was parked. There is a golf cart that staff were using to get around and no offer of assistance was given; in fact, I was holding on to it while I waited for my husband to come back from parking the car and a male staff member came out and without a word to me he climbed in and moved the golf car to the other side of the drive which threw me off balance. As I struggled to regain my balance using my cane and nearly fell over he looked at me and said "is something wrong with you". I said what had happened and noted that there were no disabled parking spots and no benches for me to sit and he had moved the cart which I was holding onto for support. He told me there was a bench inside. I said that doesn't do me any good since I am not inside. As it turns out the bench is antique and looked like it is only about 15" from the floor. Much too low for me to use and it is up a ramp so not usable to me at all.
The food was wonderful. But know it is a busy restaurant so there is a lot of movement and noise. Since I was thrown off by my experience just trying to reach the restaurant I found this triggered my condition and the wait between courses too long so by the time dinner was served I only wanted to leave. This in no way was a reflection on the food or service which were both wonderful, as we remembered.
We chose to walk back to the car as there was no place I could comfortably sit and wait for my husband to get the car. This took a long time.
We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant with excellent service along with time spent in the lounge other days also great food and awesome service
Went for the duck special and the Cornish hen. Both were outstanding. The service was excellent. An all round great experience, except for when we had to leave and our umbrella was missing from the umbrella stand :(
We ordered the striploin steak and we ended up getting a tiny 2oz piece of meat (mine had nerve thru out); the garnishe it came with did not go with the dish as the flavours were too intense from pickled mushrooms (menu said it came with both pickled and roasted mushrooms but, I only got the pickled) & some green spinach/brie sauce.
The appetizer was okay. For dessert we ordered the apple banock and was dissapointed as it looked amatteur plus, tasted hard and stale. The presentation was lacking as the banock was a few balls of overfried doug. Plus, it must have been fried a while ago as it was hard and did not taste fresh.
We were there last year for Easter and loved it as the quality of the food was much higher. As we had a good experience the first time we decided to book for Thanksgiving but, left dissapointed and felt the high prices were not justified for what we got.
We re-visited Millcroft Inn for Sunday Brunch this past week-end after many years since our last visit due to living out of the country. We were delighted to find that the excellent service, wonderful food and spectacular views/ambience have not changed. We were particularly impressed with our server, Reanna. We will certainly be back as soon as we can. Definitely worth the drive from midtown Toronto!
An absolutely perfect night. Rhiannon was beyond amazing. The food was sensational. I can't even put it into words. We cannot wait until next time! Brunch was also incredible.
A lovely inn with a great restaurant! and spa Lots to do in the nearby vicinity. Great hiking at the Forks of the Credit River!
We joined friends for a birthday celebration. Arriving at Millcroft you are met with beautiful grounds, landscaping and flowers. The Mill Pond and Falls are gorgeous and beautiful views are seen crossing the bridge on the property. Peaceful. Staff are very attentive and courteous. All tables were beautifully laid including vases of yellow roses. The menu is not extensive so the Chef is able to prepare stunning meals, exceptionally plated. The wine list exhaustive and covers all palates. Dessert menu is very interesting and again the desserts were all artistically plated, even the cheese platters. Good selection of ports, single malts and specialty coffees. While we did not stay overnight on this visit, we will remedy that soon. Well worth the short drive from Toronto.
Excellent service and excellent service great food,Ashley our assistant sever was excellent and friendly
I enjoyed the event. I was disappointed we couldn't get into the window area. I didn't book it in advance though.
Foie gras poêlé , filet d'agneau et dessert chocolaté, plus service impeccable pour un dîner d'anniversaire réussi .Table avec vue sur la chute pour une expérience gastronomique mémorable !
Fabulous food and service! Extremely attentive and knowledgeable staff. Really took strong efforts to use our names and acknowledge how special the evening was. The view from the pod is spectacular. Highly recommend!
Our night at the Headwaters Restaurant was exceptional. Everything was perfect. The service was incredible, as was the food. We had a great table that was so private and it made for a very lovely evening. I had some allergies to be aware of, and it was handled beyond my expectations.
Going back to where we were married for an anniversary dinner. Food was outstanding and service by Jim was impeccable. Enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying the outdoors on a beautiful Saturday evening.
Amazing ambiance. Fantastic food. Superior service. Melody was marvellous!
