The appetizer team is amazing, the trout is the most tender and most excellent piece of work I have ever tasted. The surprise lime sorbet after the slightly heavy appetizer is just right on! How did they know I was falling asleep after the appetizer, the lime sorbet just woke me right up, perfect timing, perfect taste, pleasure to the taste bud and also functional for palate cleansing, amazing design of the courses!

Our experience was amazing. We were celebrating our 45th Wedding anniversary on Nov. 24th and had dinner at the Millcroft Inn. We were greeted with "Happy Anniversary" and promptly seated in the lovely gazebo area with the beautiful view of the falls. Our waitress Jackie was exceptional. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and informed us about our choice of meal.
The food was fantastic - truly a "tasteful experience"!
We definitely chose the best place to celebrate our Anniversary.
Will visit again next year!

We had a beautiful anniversary dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the live music was a bonus. We were delighted by the amuse-bouche surprise and palate-cleansing sorbet between courses. The food was excellent, and teas and dessert were delicious. Thanks for a great evening.

Excellent service, beautiful scenery and we lucked out and got the best spot in the resturant because we booked early. Definately worth the drive, we had a short stay but i still felt like i really relaxed and got away from it all. Thanks to the great staff!

The service was outstanding! Great, great server. The food was ok, just ok. Value for the money was not there. No one at the table raved about the food. They talked about the atmosphere, the server, the location but not the food.
I might return for an overnight stay and eat in the lounge, but unfortunately, husband and I would not return for the dinner menu.
I wish I could have given a great food review.
Not here.

I was most disappointed with our dining experience. Right from the moment we arrived, the front person was not pleasant. We were sat at the back of the restaurant and I realized as more arrived that we were sat far away from other groups. It was even awkward for the other tables to see we were purposely sat there because we had kids. My kids are 9 and 10 and welll mannered kids and we were with grama. We were forgotten and we would ask for more water and after 20 min waiting to order dessert, I approached the waitress for the bill. We have dined at the Elora Mill since reopening, with kids, and they treat my kids like royalty! We chose these restaurants for good customer service but it was clear to us... not kid friendly, in fact, our experience is Millcroft is anti-kid!

Our server, Debra, and Kyle, we're great. The Mushroom Puree was oh so good, better than we expected. The Beef Duo was unexpectly tasty, and our filet was grilled perfectly. The dessert was tasty. We really appreciated the great food and the great service from the service team. Kudos to the cooking team. We appreciated the way the food was created from flavours and ingredients we could only appreciate how well they went together when we dug in. Oh do good. We are planning to come back in the spring.

We enjoyed a return visit to Headwaters to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Right from the greeting we were welcomed and celebrated. They had clearly listened to my online comment about the reason for our visit.
We had wonderful, creative meal from their Sunday brunch special. While some may find the price high, the quality is incredible and lets face it; you only live once ! Life is meant to be celebrated, as is great quality food.
The service that day was wonderful and very attentive.
I'm so glad we picked Headwaters for this special occasion.

Melody was an excellent server, and answered any questions we had about the food. She kept our glasses filled and really made our Anniversary dinner special. The kitchen writes special messages on your dessert plate, which is fun. Food was delicious - not a huge selection, but each dish we had (beef duo, venison and blueberry pavlova) was delicious. My beef was cooked perfectly. One note - if you sit in the 'pod' overlooking the water, be aware that LOTS of spiders congregate on the outside of the window - not for the squeamish. The staff will offer to lower the blinds, but that sort of defeats the purpose of sitting by the window for the view.

Restaurant is comfortable, and atmosphere is chill. The distraction is the spiders living on the outside of windows of the pod. Please get them sprayed and windows cleaned. Food is limited in choice but I believe that's the type of restaurant it is. However it was good, especially breakfast - great value. WRT the wine list, specifically white by the glass, it is none existent. The only sauvignon blanc was Niagara, Canadian. Even one imported choice would have been nice.

Was very disappointed with the quality of the meal considering the high cost. With a moderately priced bottle of wine, the bill was $302 (including gratuity) for two, which we wouldn't have minded paying if my husband hadn't felt Ill during the night. He had the " beef duo" and we're not certain if that was the source of the problem, or something else he ate there. I was fine. I had the lamb dish which was to be cooked medium but came in medium rare. The desserts were memorable but the rest of the meal was adequate at best. We've had better tasting food at several places since at 1/4 of the cost. The servers were pretentious and lacked warmth. Three in a row parroted " and how are the first few bites tasting?" within a 2 minute timeframe and any attempt by us to engage them in a normal conversation was awkward. Save your money and go to several good places for a special occasion for tge same cost rather than here.

I knew going in it would not be cheap (it never has been). Although the service was excellent, the food fell short of the price. The best parts of the meal were the appetizers (the oxtail risotto and the duck terrine was fabulous) and the desserts which were yummy. My wife's venison was very tasty but a bit chewier than we expected. My rib steak was quite good but was a bit salty and a bit chewy, also I got an impression that the top tasted a bit charred altho it did not look it.

It was a nice meal but overpriced. The live music was a nice undertone for the room.(until the music downstairs/next door pumped the bass into the restaurant)
