Beautiful atmosphere, terrific service and delicious food.
There was only one problem with Hazies, and its not the fault of the restaurant. As season pass holders, we have been accruing vouchers to use at the mountain restaurants based on how many days we have skied. The restaurant had a very hard time using the vouchers, and as a result it took almost forty five minutes to get our final checks and pay our bill. After a delightful and delicious lunch, it certainly took away our happy feelings and turned it all very frustrating. If the mountain is going to offer vouchers, then it behooves management to make it user friendly not only for the pass holder, but also for the restaurant staff.
Great Service, enjoyed conversation with our waitress. Food superb. Generous portions. Tasted 3 wines before settling on a bottle. And, of course, incredible Mountain View for Sunset & night lights of valley.
Food was great! Service was terribly slow almost 45 minute wait after ordering.
Very friendly staff, beautiful views, and extremely tasty and flavorful food.
We had friends here from MI and wanted to celebrate their Birthdays. I told Hazie’s ahead, and it was in the notes, but they forgot their Birthdays....Quite disappointing. I asked about it, and they said it was in the notes, but the waiter forgot to make it happen. He was a really good waiter so I didn’t want to say anything to him about it. The food was good and we had a nice time.
Great food but our server, Ally was over the top great!!!
First, the ride up in the gondola was a spectacular view of the city. The ambience of Hazies is terrific. The dinner is a 3 course prix fixe dinner. 3 of us had the salmon which was wonderful, and one had rabbit which was also wonderful. The chocolate bread pudding was fabulous. Highly recommend.
It's always nice to sit down at Hazies during a good snow day and relax and have a nice meal while enjoying the view. We both had the burger this time, it is a tasty burger. No wine this visit, as we usually do, but the list is rather nice. A little slow, but hey what's the hurry, and the service is always friendly.
Very slow and halting service with average but overpriced food. Been there many times and quality deteriorating
Our server Ali made it a wonderful experience! She was fun
Professional and adorable! 💓
The food was OK. The wait for every aspect of our meal was intolerable. Clearly not a good way to start our steamboat vacation.
great sightseeing, good food but a slow service
Top notch unique menu and friendly knowledgeable staff. Great experience ever single time!
It was great except for the hostess. Not friendly at all, with an attitude.
The food was great, but the experience was lacking. For the added cost of the dinner, I would have expected a table with a great view. Instead we were stuck up against a wall, not close to a window. We had a lovely view of the other customers enjoying their view. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant do to the elevated price for an average restaurant experience. Save $100 and go to a nice restaurant down in the valley instead.
Very expensive $660 with wine. Server had an attitude because we asked her to decant our expensive red wine. She was frown face thereafter and paid very little attention to us. We had to pour our own wine.
I can forgive the noise, it was busy. There’s not much to be done about noise on a busy day. The service however was sub par. We were sat without menus and when we asked for menus, it took forever to get them. And then we waited some more for our server to take our order. Our drinks came without the garnishes the drink menu claimed they would have. The food was just okay. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy and half the shrimp hadn’t been deveined. I don’t enjoy deveining my shrimp at the table. It also too too long to get the check and pay it. Altogether the experience was very meh.
I did a proposal and it was perfect.
It took 2 hours to get our lunch
Haven't been to Hazie's in awhile. The quality of food has gone down hill. Very slow service. Not good when you want to be out skiing. Price has gone up which is not good when the taste of food has gone downhill. Very very disappointed !!!!
Lovely 5 course meal with wine pairings on Valentine's Day. Every bite was delicious. We have had similar wine paired meals at other restaurants that cost more than 3 times the price at Hazie's. Hope to go there again next Valentine's Day!
Wonderful view with pricy food.
We are here for lunch during a ski break. This has been my go to lunch spot over the 10 years The last 10 years, but I won’t be returning until the menu and service improves. The lunch service and drink service was extremely slow. Unless you eat off the buffet expect it to be long. One person in our party had the shrimp and grits and didn’t even each much because it was more of a soup and way too smoky tasting. We all had a hard time deciding what to eat. The menu needs a major overhaul. Having eaten at ragnars and stoker bar I can honestly say they are much better choices with better food. My advice is an addition of a crab cake and some tuna tartare would go a long way. The only item the whole table liked was the breads and spreads... everything else was just ok.
Hazies is convenient and has a great view. The food is fine - not spectacular, not bad. The wait staff is very friendly but not terribly efficient. Don’t think you’ll get in and out quickly unless you order the buffet.
Beautiful view and a comfortable atmosphere, but the food was nothing to rave about.
The gondola ride up was great as you have a view of the entire valley. The view at dinner was beyond beautiful and the food and service was excellent.
The four of us had a great time, the professionalism and enthusiasm of our waitress adding to the event. The elk entree was some of the best elk we've ever had, and the trout was very good. Unfortunately, the bison cut was unexpectedly tough and flavorless and we would definitely not recommend that.
Beautiful view, delicious food and our server Melissa was wonderful
View was amazing, service and food was very good, but the decor hasn’t changed since I lived there in the 90’s, it’s very dated and tired.
Darby did a nice job serving our party. The cheddar ale soup was delicious! The mountain views are spectacular. We’ll worth a trip up the gondola.
The food here used to be so good. I got a prime rib sandwich that was anything but. Prime Fat, maybe. The only thing palatable was the au jus.
Hazies used to have a delicious beet salad, interesting entries. Now the only thing I would order, to play it safe is the burger.
Service was fine. Let's face it: Hazie's is owned/run by the Mountain and the Mountain has no idea how to run a fine dining restaurant. They are not in the business of providing fine dining and the service/food required therewith. Which would be fine except their prices aren't indicative of what you receive. Three cocktails (average, at best), one glass of wine (the wine selection is an absolute joke), one beer and two appetizers (maybe the soggiest calamari, ever) came to almost $100. I'm a local, have lived here for years, and this meal reminded me why I should never eat/drink at restaurants/bars owned by the Mountain.
Service was excellent food was perfect and the scenery was beautiful on top of the mountain. The bathrooms were also used by the snow skiers. Huge not so clean. The only option for dinner is you pay 80.00 per person for food only, they give you five different entrees to pick from. The cocktails are extra. Final bill $226.00.
A unique dining experience! It starts with a beautiful night time gondola ride which leads into a restaurant with an amazing view. Our server was lovely and the food delicious! My only complaint is that I was miserable because I ate too much! A great experience with good friends.
On-mountain dining is by nature a little cheesy and a lot over-priced. Despite the rather dated 80s/90s decor, Hazie's is a place we will for sure go back to. First off, the servers were incredible, top notch. They were warm and engaging and made you feel welcome. I say this having brought young children, so I'm talking really amazing. We were very happy with our food and the view, from which we could see the fireworks from above, was magical. Can't wait for our next visit.
Somehow Open Table or Hazie’s computer didn’t connect and even though I had a confirmation from Open Table, Hazie’s wouldn’t honor it. Said we would stay and wait at least an hour for a part of 7. Paid $25 to ride Gondola just to get there. So I’m going to say I won’t go back.
Nice relaxing meal while skiing with good food and service.
