We love Hawthornes! We went for my sisters bday today and it was great! My moms first time. I order the same thing every time. South of the border. Soooo good. Same waitress as last time and she’s awesome! I wish I remember name.

Had an amazing dinner outside in one of the cubes. Food was excellent. Service was great. Drinks delicious. Was so nice to have dinner outside in Philly again

I really like Hawthornes, the food is surprisingly good! And the portions are good sizes too. The fish tacos were really delicious, and satisfying. We also shared the fried pickles, which I would definitely recommend.

Overall the experience was ok, made better by waitress, as event for Easter brunch with bunny. We were not informed until after the bunny left for the day that he would not be returning to interact or take pictures as he finished at 3:00pm and our reservation was at 2:45pm. The bunny did quickly stop over and present a small pkg but did not stay long enough for a picture or much interaction outside of hi and here is your gift. This was VERY disappointing for my little one as she was SOOOOO excited to see the Easter bunny and take a picture with him. If we were told of his short appearance perhaps we could have made an earlier 'RSVP or perhaps the restaurant could have informed us of his schedule and/or posted pix times. My entire reason for booking was for the Easter bunny experience which was brief at best. The waitress who felt sorry for my little one offered that we could come back on Sunday and she would ensure that we got to see and take a pix with the Easter bunny. Sadly our Sunday schedule could not accommodate another trip to downtown Philly for this coveted pix, so my little one missed out out on a 2021 Easter bunny pix.

Loved being in our own pod. The food was good, as expected. The waiter was attentive. Even though it was raining, it was still great to be there. Will definitely return.

The outdoor igloos are a great touch! I hope it’s a permanent fixture. The igloos minimize outside elements and create an intimate space for the dinner party. The food was delicious and it was perfectly accompanied by good service from our waitress Sam. Sam was open to making special requests and took the time to answer any questions we had. The brunch menu includes twists on traditional meals thats delightful, for example the Buffalo Salmon with Arugula & Potato Salad (no mayo which I was happy about). The alcoholic beverages taste good and were really refreshing!

Hawthorne’s has become my favorite local hangout! And everyone I bring ends up loving it as well! Yummy food and drinks, warm and efficient service, and lots of outdoors eating possibilities. Perfect!

This is typically one of my favorite local spots for the great beer selection and usually good food.

Unfortunately, the service was surprisingly disappointing; we sat for 15 minutes before someone took our order and our app was brought after our dinner. The fried chicken sandwich was overly greasy and had a very fatty piece of chicken that was barely edible.

However, what made it worse is they wrongfully changed the tip I saw on my credit card statement, conflicting with my identical customer copy and finance tracker. When asked to investigate, they denied they made any change which was a bit unsettling.

Will reconsider going back and if I do, will be sure to avoid the fried chicken and leave a tip that is not easy to change.

Food is great. My server is very busy so she forgot my coffee order after we ordered dessert. She cancelled the charge and offered to still serve the coffee afterwards but I just said no. Overall, it was still good experience.

Wish they would use less paper products

Hawthornes always delivers. I moved close by 2 years ago and it has absolutely become my go to spot. The food is always incredible. The beer selection and cocktails are always great, and the staff is incredible.

Great food and drinks, service is always good. People are nice. Feels overpriced, especially since their meals are smaller now outside using the disposable trays. OVerall love it there, though.

the waitress was splendid, but the manager would not assist me when I complained about the taste of my food. I had to pay for food that I did not enjoy. The manager spoke to me as if I was incompetent and a petty criminal.

Mid snow storm and pandemic, and Hawthorne’s was open, modifying everything to fit all of the circumstances. My two young kids and I had an awesome brunch in one of the private dining bubbles (there is also a larger, socially distanced heated tent). The food and drinks were incredible and service was so friendly and accommodating. Had never been before and now cannot wait to go back.

Outside tent for dining was comfortable and the server was lovely!
