Stunning service. Hiccup at the start that was 100% redeemed. Above and beyond when it comes with service.
Kind of weird that chef tasting menu doesn't come with some bread.
Hawksworth did not disappoint. I was hoping to have the lobster salad but it was sold out - maybe a good thing though as my second choice was the Sablefish and it was amazing! Will definitely be back!
From the moment you walk in it was a tremendous experience. Great service, divine meal and intimate atmosphere.
Once again Hawksworth demonstrates it's our top choice for fine dining in Vancouver. Every dish on the tasting menu was well balanced with interesting and complementary flavors - expert match making that extends into the wine pairing as well.
Probably the best restaurant in Vancouver - pricey, but worth every penny. The food is imaginative, and the three courses, appetizer, main and dessert, are each just the right size to complement the other, making one feel satisfied without being overly full. The service at lunch - thank you, Patrick - was very professional and well-timed, pleasant and easy-going, without the excess effusiveness that is all too common these days. (None of that "So how's your day been so far?" or "What have you got planned for the rest of the afternoon?" that I personally just find annoying.
Hawksworth is our 'go-to' place for special occasions.
I was so excited to have dungeness crab on the tasting menu, but unfortunately they switched that out for lobster. Other than that, we were very pleased with our dinner.
Too salty, can't taste the freshness of the fish and the taste of the food itself. The fish is over cooked. Very disappointing.
Great. Had a wonderful bday at this restaurant.
this place is so amazing. the waiter is really helpful and know his stuff. food is so yummy. what a good experience!
beautiful décor, fabulous service and great food. what more could you ask for? We tried
the tasting menu with wine pairing. Everything was delicious and the wine superb. I would
highly recommend for a special night out.
Although the lobster tail was a little small, it was delicious.
This was my first time dining at Hawksworth and I can’t wait to return. The decor was subtle, but intriguing, the service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the tasting menu delighted our palates from start to finish! My only comment would be that it was awkward to maneuver to the ladies room due to tables being too close together. Other than that, the evening was superb.
Comparatively speaking of BC, the food is top notch. But putting it along the better restaurant around the world, still some improvement can be made.
Everything I had read about this place was true. From the service to the food it was a remarkable experience here. I was alone and they picked the perfect table. The seared scallops with popcorn sweetbreads was outstanding, especially for someone who is not fond of sweetbread. The duck was cooke dot perfection and the wine was of course, perfectly paired for me.
