First class food, drinks and service (as always). The 3 course pre/post-theatre deal was excellent value too.

One of the best evenings of my life. If there was a 6 stars option for service then the lass who served us would get 7 stars. Flawless food, perfect drinks and such a brilliant atmosphere. For me Hawksmoor is simply the best restaurant in Manchester.

Hawksmoor is always excellent and didn’t disappoint on this occasion. The lunch menu had great choices but still with backup of a la carte. This was a celebration lunch and the complimentary dessert to recognise this was a lovely touch. Service was first class from everyone

Fabulous food, and brilliant service. Friendly staff. A bit lad at times, but didn't spoil our enjoyment of the evening

Missing items from the menu, beer served in £8 330ml cans, and vastly overpriced for regular food. £200 for 2 starters, 2 mains, and 2 beers. Will not be attending again.

Didn’t realise Sunday roast finished at 5 pm so went for chateau Briand on recommendation. Tasty while warm but actually quite chewy . Left 2 Pieces unwillingly at that price but my jaw was aching

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at Hawksmoor yesterday. Although they had run out of beef roasts by 4:30pm, the team couldn’t have been more accommodating — they kindly mixed and matched steaks with all the classic sides for us, and honestly, it more than made up for it. The food was absolutely excellent, but what really stood out was the service. Every single member of staff was warm, friendly, and attentive without ever being overbearing. You know when service feels natural rather than scripted? That’s exactly how it felt — just genuine, lovely people who made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has that polished, stylish decor you’d expect, but it still feels relaxed — almost like your favourite local spot where everyone knows each other. It struck the perfect balance between special occasion dining and somewhere you could easily spend a chilled afternoon. We’ll definitely be back — can’t recommend it enough!

Hawksmoor definitely lived up to our high expectations, after hearing so much about it and wanting to visit for a while. As soon as we walked in, the service was exceptional. We were offered the cloakroom and then walked to our table by the member of staff on the front desk and then greeted by smiles and “hello”s by several members of staff at the bar and in the restaurant on the way. Our server, Alex, was very friendly, knowledgable and helpful and made our visit very enjoyable. We came specifically for the Sunday Roast dinner and it was delicious. Priced at £28, it’s obviously a high price but considering everything is British, we didn’t think it was too bad. We also got a side of cauliflower cheese and stuffing between 2 people which were £7.50 each and probably not necessary but we just wanted to try them and they were nice. The meat on the roast was absolutely delicious-definitely the best beef I’ve ever had. It was so tasty that I didn’t even need to put the gravy on it. We also had the peanut butter shortbread and blueberry and custard tart for dessert which were also delicious and I enjoyed the paired after dinner wine suggestion too. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would return and recommend.
