About Hawksmoor Guildhall
Hawksmoor Guildhall is a stunning restaurant and bar in the heart of The City.
It provides 'the best power breakfast' (GQ Magazine) to London's financial capital and is perfect for meetings and entertaining clients. The 160-cover restaurant is renowned for serving dictionary-thick steaks simply cooked on a real charcoal grill.
The wine list has been carefully selected to include their favourite wines from obscure small producers and big name vineyards alike and the bar is manned by some of the best bartenders in London serving classic cocktails and original drinks.
There is also a private dining room seating 22, as well as a table for 10 in the main dining room, which serves the exclusive beef tasting feast menu.
Hawksmoor Guildhall is also available for exclusive hire.

Hawksmoor Guildhall Ratings and Reviews
"Noticeably inferior compared to usual standards here - probably due to restaurant being completely full with Christmas diners: slower service, items off the menu, steak cooking patchy - probably left on the pass too long. Wasn't worth sending back over-cooked steak as would have taken an age for replacement and my dinner companions would have finished. Had far better at Guildhall branch earlier in the week. Had booked another visit to Seven Dials branch next week - which am now cancelling. Disappointed."
We went for breakfast whilst on a day trip to London. I had the lobster Benedict (fabulous - perfectly poached egg, perfect hollandaise sauce, excellent house made muffins and plenty of lobster meat - including the claw meat) and my husband had the full English (also really good - the sausages were the standout item). We also loved the breakfast cocktails - try the Marmalade cocktail (really good bitter orange flavour).
Service was friendly and professional, prompt without feeling rushed. Would definitely go again.
Food was pretty good, but thought the sides were very small. Table service was really good, but the front desk wasn’t particularly friendly both upstairs and down. Had to say my name about 10 times in all with lots of have you really booked looks. Same general unfriendliness on the way out. Not great after spending a couple hundred quid.
The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, steak and eggs for breakfast is the way to go... I found the hash browns to have a bit too much pepper in them for me but then again I don't like pepper. I will be back for breakfast when I'm next in The City.
For the prices Hawksmoor charges, I expect food which is better than average. Whilst none of the food needed to be returned to the kitchen, equally all the plates were uninspiring and the preparation was average.
This was mitigated by the excellent service from our waitress but ultimately left feeling that we did not get our money's worth.
We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. This was without a doubt the best breakfast I've ever had. The staff were excellent and very friendly with my young son. The real star was the food, which was cooked to perfection. The only downside is that there's no way to visit over the weekend. But take a morning off from work if you need to. It's worth it.
Good steaks and very friendly and attentive service although it was strange to be served by five different people. Only thing I don’t like is when service and charity donations are added to the bill automatically. They should be options to select when the bill arrives.
Of the 4 of us who attended dinner, my steak came as rare (as opposed to medium rare), one of my colleagues was medium (as opposed to medium rare), the other one was cold, and the last one was overdone. None of us said anything until the walk to the station as we were chatting too much, but it was a disappointing experience. I've been to Hawksmoor many times (this location and others) and this is by far the most disappointing. I hope that it had to do with the fact that it was a Thursday and busy, but not ideal either way. The service was very good however, the waiters being attentive and swift in their delivery.
It’s normally pretty good here, but today that wasn’t the case. We were sat at our table for 20 mins before we were acknowledged. Food showed up with a 10-minute gap between steak and sides. We were offered complimentary desserts and a drink as an apology but I’d rather just have the service live up to the venue.
perfect restaurant, the meat quality was exceptional; The atmosphere was great and intimate at the same time. Still a little skeptical on the final bill (£120 for 2 people). A little expensive.
But nothing could be found faulty regarding the food.
wine selection excellent!
As always, Hawksmoor, Guildhall didn't fail to impress. I went for the Sirloin steak, Medium, with mushrooms and the beef dripping fries. Everything was absolutely delicious!
The waiters (we had 4) were all lovely and happy to help, food amazing and just round the corner to work for perfect for a work lunch or a celebration.
Will be coming back again.
