Hawk’s Landing Steakhouse & Grille – Orlando World Center Marriott Ratings and Reviews
Very disappointing. After our party of five was seated we waited ten plus minutes for water or someone to take a drink order and this only occurred after we found a manager. Our server apologized but said he was very busy with other large parties. My guests steak was clearly over cooked and when this was pointed out to our server the server became argumentative. Quite unimpressed.
There are many high quality steak houses in the Orlando area. Unfortunately I would not rank Hawks Landing as one of them
Obviously a pricey restaurant, but the food was fantastic and there was a very wide variety of choices to select among. Took a large party out for a business dinner and it was a huge success. Our server, Milan, was a large part of making this such an enjoyable experience.
Potatoes augratin were cold & potatoes were not done. They said the portions were large enough to share for two or three Not even. There were 8 potato slices in this bowl. It was 3-1/2" across & 2" deep.
Our meats were delicious however. Perfectly done & perfectly seasoned.
The mussels were some of the best and we've had them all over the world. They were in a white wine sauce that was almost a little creamy. AND they were able to provide gluten free toast for my husband. What a treat for him to have with the mussels! We weren't very hungry since we'd had a late lunch but the appetizers and sides were wonderful. Don't miss the creamed corn side, it was awesome. We topped it off with a bottle of white wine and we had a very nice light supper. Ronaldo also provided great service.
Great fish and steaks!
The four of us enjoyed our dinner tremendously here last week. From the scallop appetizer to the Florida grouper and Bass special of the Day. Only one person in our group had a steak, and he loved it!
Wonderful service but expect the high prices.
Food was excellent but the service was very poor for the quality of the restaurant. We waited almost 10 minutes after ordering a bottle of wine for the waitress to come back and tell us she can't find her manager with the keys to get our wine. Any questions about the food were answered unenthusiasticly with "I've never tried it but people seem to like it". Fortunately I was with a very good natured group of clients who found humor in the experience.
Marriott's World Center in itself is an island of tranquility amidst a sea of turmoil. Hawk's Landing Steakhouse, being in a separate building from the world's largest Marriott Hotel, is even more tranquil. The setting is pristine, the decor is first rate, and the cuisine and service by far the best in the area, Disney World restaurants included.
All I can say was our service was great and the food was ok. In my humble opinion it was just another overpriced steak house. It was convenient because we were at a business function at the Marriott World Center but I would absolutely not go out of my way to go there. If I am going to pay $35-50 for a steak it better be organic grass fed and top notch. This was not and everything is al a carte and I simply was not that impressed.
Very overpriced for the quality & quantity- my husband's filet mignon was very good but overpriced, his potatoes au gratin were terrible - potatoes still raw, white sauce had no taste at all- only some cheese on top. My lamb chops were also very good but equally overpriced for quantity & the asparagus were huge - probably would not go back again unless changes are made.
A very good dining experience except for two issues:
1) My steak was salted prior to cooking and thus was salty and a bit tougher than it should have been.
2) The menu included apple cobbler. It was not a cobbler, but rather was a rather dry apple crisp that was way undercooked, thus the apples were nearly raw.
A perfectly fine restaurant that is substantially overpriced for the food quality. It's main advantage is its location if you find yourself staying at the Marriott World Center. Sadly, like pretty much all of the restaurants here, they take advantage of their "captive audience" by providing mediocre to decent food and wine at a vastly inflated markup. Service was great.
We had an excellent meal. Food was incredible. We celebrated Father's Day that weekend. We had tuna tartar, filet mignon with bearnaise and ribeye and spinach gratinee. We had no complaints. We will definitely go back when we are in town again. We also had the kids (age 2 & 4) they had burgers and fries. The view was beautiful & service great
