    The food was excellent but the service was absolutely terrible. Our server said to let him know when to put in our entrees in when he came to collect our starters. Odd question. We said how. Waited 35 minutes. He came over to said the printer broke so the kitchen never got the order. Another 25 minutes go by and we finally got it. Apparently they overcooked the dish and had to redo it. We will not rush back. Such a mess

    Yesterday evening was our first expereinced at Haven and it most definitely will not be our last! We took some friends out to celebrate a milestone birthday and we were not disappointed. We were seated promptly and welcomed by a member of the staff. Our birthday guest was presented with a birthday card personally signed by numerous members of the staff. What fantastic first impression and it only got better from there. Our server was Mattie (I really hope I got that right), she was truly a joy to spend the evening with. She was super attentive and had us laughing throughout most of the meal. The food was spectacular and abundant. My wife, who loves a great steak, said that her steak was the best she had ever eaten! That statement alone merits a return visit! The atmosphere was relaxed but refined. Our table was perfectly situated in a round corner booth. The noise level was well balanced and made conversation across a large table very comfortable. The mixed drinks were fantastic and with good variety, as was the beer selection. The desert menu had several selections, three of which we sampled, they were also excellant! If you are deserving of a nice evening out and would love a great place to go, Haven is the spot! You won't regret it! Side note: We have enjoyed visiting their sister restaurant, Berns, over the years, it's something everyone should experience, but we think Haven is our new favorite! It's as refined but just a little more relaxed!

    This was our second visit. We came here many years ago. It wasn’t as we remembered. The food was disappointing. The charcuterie board for $31 was marginal at best. The main courses were ok, nothing exceptional. They really get a premium for their entrees, and, they don’t blow you away. The restaurant is really pretty. We like the ambiance but it isn’t enough to bring us back.

    From Check-in (Hostess, took our name for reservation then didn't say anything...we just stood there! To the waiter, could not understand him and could hear him based on the noise, to the drinks which took forever and my $17 Old Fashion was the smallest drink ever and the glass of wine was not a 5oz pour. To the waiter questioning if we were ordering enough....I guess the $49 Pork Chop, the $41 Fillet and the $17 Brussel Spouts was not enough....I recommend someone should explain when you order the Pork Chop how fatty of of piece of meat you should expect. Don't plan to eat 80% of it. Lettuce wraps? why are you giving me a pile of bib lettuce with a pork chop? Filet was decent, but when the sauce arrive and was totally different then described and we asked for a replacement, I was shock that we were charged an additional $6. Finally the Valet parking was the biggest CF I ever seen, the valet needed to move 3 cars to get to my car. What a horrible fine dining experience. Way to many awesome choices in the area to even consider this place. Stay AWAY.

    The food was great, my only issue was when ordering oysters for an appetizer, the oyster were extremely small, they were about the same size of a clam. The taste of the oysters were great. Other than that everything was else great.

    I’m a frequent haven-goer and always have had a good experience and have enjoyed everything on the menu. This visit however one was truly over the top. One of the individuals in our party requested a mocktail and was accidentally served the version with alcohol in it. Multiple people including the manager came over immediately to apologize and continually checked in on our table throughout the meal and then proceeded to not only comp drinks but the ENTIRE meal.

    Hard review to write as the wife hated the food but I didn't think it was that bad. We had a create your own charcuterie board, bbq oysters (sauce was overpowering), tuna sashimi (needs to be cut into smaller pieces), seared foie gras (which the wife sent back because it was terrible), coal grilled octopus, 14oz delmonico (which the wife said tasted like the grill hadn't been cleaned in weeks), dirt pie, and macadamia creme brulee (the macadamia syrup isn't needed and probably makes the dessert worse, creme brulee is a classic for a reason). For drinks we tried the liquid picnic (which was not great) and the haven old fashioned (which was slightly better than the happy hour old fashioned, but not worth 2x the price). The ambiance was much improved from a previous visit where the wife loved the food but I thought the place was way too dark. In the end it seems like Haven is a flip of the coin, you may like it you may not.

    Ambiance and decor get 5 stars. Drinks are basic. Bread and Fat is a must get. Mac and cheese was just okay. Bone Marrow Fried rice and Elote were the tastiest. Olive Oil cake was good too. Service was nice. Also, it is freezing cold inside, bring a jacket or get tea like I did. Overall, not bad for Tampa.

    We were visiting for a conference and heard a lot about Haven so decied to give it a try. We were a little bit underwhelmed with our overall experience. Cocktails and service was good. However, out of the various dishes we ordered, none really stood out. We ordered the Delmonico steak, which had a lot of fat while the matsutake mushrooms had a slight moldy taste. The Brussel Sprout Salad was probably the only thing we enjoyed. Overall, the quality of food was something one might encounter at a typical dining establishment and not an upscale one.

    The chefs board has been excellent each time we ordered it. Be sure to add on the truffles honey... Omg! Four of us at he table agreed that the Brussels sprout salad was the best item on the ordered. Server seemed a bit off, maybe just having a bad night.

    The restaurant was freezing. Good and friendly staff. Appetizers (tuna sashimi and grilled octopus) were pretty good, but have had much better. Order snapper, mac & cheese and NY Strip. Took over 45 min. Steak came out well done instead of medium rare. Told staff and asked to take off bill. They were willing to recook or give something else. Declined because we need to get back to relieve the sitter. Snapper was not good. Mac & cheese was just ok (They used to have the best!) Overall staff did react well, but the food was lacking. Maybe a bad night or going downhill? I probably won't give them another chance. Too many new and better places.
