Great bar and incredibly tasty Angus burger. The Truffled Fries are amazing!
Wine selections are solid. The manager truly cares about the customer experience.
Worth checking out. Will definitely go back.
Overall pretty good. The bar service was little slow and the restaurant was not even half full on a Wednesday evening. We enjoyed the kale ceasar salad and the burger was delicious and very big!The half roasted chicken was excellent. The atmosphere was very nice to go after work and the beer selections were very good. We will be back.
The place is a bit load but a great place for a group or fun place to take a date. Great beer combined with unique combination of flavors. The Poutine and Deviled eggs were out of this world!!
Our server was attentive, but not smothering. It was a great spot to get a good quick meal and a beer. Great parking!
My wife and I went with another couple for lunch. Haven Gastropub is no longer the great place for foodies. My burger was overcooked, deviled eggs or pretzels did not taste fresh (they used to be great). There were flies that kept bothering our group while eating (we ate indoors). Ok that they change the menu around, but they did not even keep the classic dishes. A couple in our group ordered specials and then were told it they forget to mark it is only for dinner menu.
Haven used to be my goto for lunch for many years whenever I visited Orange. No more. There pricing was in line when they took pride from start to finish. I miss the old Haven of early days. I just feel it is now a mediocre place with great choices of beers. My friends and I will now be on the hunt for a new goto.
A great place in Orange for a very clever menu. I have to say that if I were asked by open table to vote best burger in Orange County California, I would vote the "45 day aged burger " - one of the best burgers I have had in the last several years
Not sure why they changed the menu. They took the flat bread and lamb burger off the menu. Also the homemade chips are gone.
I've been to this restaurant many times. The food is always very good, although it can be a little pricey. $20 for a burger seems a little steep to me, but it was good. Drinks are always made very well. They have a very large beer selection as well as other types of alcohol. Our server was very nice and attentive. It does tend to get crowded on weekend evenings, but then so does any restaurant. I like that they're open decently late.
One of the best restaurants around the Old Towne Orange Plaza Square.
We made last minute reservations for brunch and really enjoyed it! There are only a few items on the menu for breakfast, but everything was fantastic! We ordered the donuts as an appetizer, great choice! If ever in Anaheim again, we’ll go back and try dinner.
Too loud for a business meeting is the only chief complaint
an eclectic menu selection with some rare findings.
Excellent beer and taps selection
Good food, good drinks, great service!!
Extremely slow service, good appetizers, awful burger, cocktail menu is bigger than beer menu, expensive beer, inexperienced waiter/waitress who doesn’t know how to pour beer properly
Came in on a slow Monday night. Our waitress seemed to get more and more distracted throughout the evening and one person at our table waited at least 15 minutes for his first beer after the rest of the table had already received their drinks because she forgot. This continued to happen for the whole time we were there. This is when it was not even busy. Food was good but overpriced (a $20 burger...). The restaurant itself is beautiful and the beer was good.
Great food, service and charming location!
I like havens. I can only negative I can say is it was a little loud so next time I'll reserve seating outside where it's a little quieter. Otherwise good food and drinks.
You can tell that there is new ownership. The food quality has gone down.
I go in for dinner with a friend. Enjoy the
They changed up the menu, kept up the quality but price was. little high
Food was good. Beer was good. Items were overpriced. Service sucked. Service more on par with ihop. Lack of check backs, communication, and experience.
Hacen accommodated our party of 8 with no problem even though original reservation was only for 4. Appetizers and lunch meals tasted great ( Shepherd Pie, Cheeseburger, Tacos, and Salmon.
The food is above average at Haven and the drinks are excellent - however, the service and prices are overrated.
Food was great as always, but the service was not on point. Indoor temperature was uncomfortably high, the water glasses were ridiculously small, and they insisted on making our party wait for refills rather than leaving a bottle on the table so we could refill ourselves. Parched & sweating is not pleasant.
Food was great but service was not great. We ordered a snack upon being seated but it was the last thing served. Restaurant was not well air-conditioned on a brutally hot day. Good beer selections including Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig. Overall very good. Could have been better.
Limited menu for my Vegan wife.
Best burger in Orange County by a long shot. Try the chicken liver toast too, it's fantastic.
Limited Happy Hour menu. $19 for a basic burger was steep. Strange/unfamiliar wine selection.
Food was better and more inspired before. Seems like menu shrunk and food is saltier.
We very much enjoyed our visit on Father's day. The food was great as usual but this time the service was less than desired. First our server was slow to come to our table after we first sat down. This is always something I watch for in a restaurant. I believe they should greet you and ask for initial drinks within the first few minutes. It took over 10 minutes before our server came to the table. Second the server seem somewhat confused and overwhelmed as there were long periods between coming to our table. One of the orders was wrong and they forgot the fries that went with the chicken sandwich. While the food was very good all in all the service hurt the experience.
Went with a friend to celebrate Fathers Day, all of our kids live in other states or were out of town, so we had Brunch of Pliny the Elder and Chilaquiles, beer and food were both great!
Great pub with extensive list of alcohol. Our steak was delicious but a bit pricey. Serves local food whenever possible. Friendly service and atmosphere.
We have been going to Havens for the Mac n Cheese for 4 years now. I haven’t found anything else like it!
Overall really good food and ambiance. Super disappointed that the spaghetti squash is no longer on the menu! Mac and cheese was on point!
My son and I had the Haven Burger and my wife had the salmon. The burger was seasoned perfectly for me although cooked slightly past the medium rare requested. The pickled onions were cut thinly and added a brightness to the burger, pairing nicely with the roasted red bell peppers (also thinly cut) and the spiciness of the arugula. Haven uses a modest amount of St Agur blue cheese on the burger, adding a rich layer to the bite - I generally prefer sauces and cheeses to be used with restraint so they don't inadvertently overpower the dish, so Haven's approach was perfect for me. In short, all of the elements worked really well together. The burger is on the smaller side, particularly considering the premium price point, which would be my only real criticism. I paired the burger with the shaved vegetable salad option while my son ordered his with the fries. According to my son, the fries were done well - crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside - which explains, in part, why there were none left on his plate. The vegetable salad was dressed with a beautiful red wine vinaigrette. The vegetables and lettuce were very fresh. My wife's salmon was beautifully cooked to just about medium (which is how she likes it), and seasoned well, although a tad salty for her palate. The salmon had a beautiful sear on both sides. She enjoyed every element of the dish and thought the sunchoke puree was particularly praiseworthy. As with the burger, the portion was on the small side, especially considering the price point.
The ambiance and decor is great, beautiful bar and fun to sit at. We were a big group so sat at a table. Food was delicious and service was awesome! Delicious Beer, great choice too.
Great food, great service, great beer list!
Disappointing overall. Food was overpriced and menu was very limited. Service was average. We had brought out of town guests here for a special graduation celebration and appreciated the ability to make a reservation for a large party. We were greeted and seated immediately. Unfortunately the overall experience was not special; it was average.
We went for Mother’s Day brunch. The ambiance was lovely and the food delicious. We tried the fried chicken and waffles, benedict and the special. All were yummy! Can’t wait to come back to try the Mac n cheese and avocado toast!
