Fantastic. Must stop here when I come to Chicago. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Omg the food!!! So amazing and the drinks were fantastic as well. Love the ambience and the prices didn't break the bank either. My boyfriend and I had 2 apps, soup, 2 entrees and 5 drinks for under 140. Everything about this meal was amazing.
There was one waiter servicing 13 people and he was amazing. He was efficient, not overwhelmed and no one was unattended even though he was the only one working at the time. Great service, drinks and food
It was a truly enjoyable time at Havana
Service, food and overall experience was fantastic
Very casual place for Cuban food. Excellent service, great drinks. Food was Ok
Cuban nirvana. Wonderful food with rich authentic flavors. Spot on service. We didn't want to leave.
Amazing food, great service. A fantastic spot to go with friends or after work. Also, the drinks are ridiculously good so do yourself a favor and take the train/bus there so you can go all out.
Chips and guac, and morita salsa was a must. The Pollo Horneado con Platano was the best entree hands down.
Truly authentic Cuban food. My favorite is called "ropa vieja" (literally old clothes, but don't let that scare you off). It is the same food that makes up the Venezuelan "pabellon criollo" as well; probably has a comparable dish throughout Latin America. This time we also tried the "vaca frita" (literally, fried cow) - the beef was fried and served with a beans/rice mix (that's what "congri" is). I love the cooked plantains and even my husband - who does not like bananas - agreed they were good. We also tried the soups. I thought the black bean was excellent. The tortilla soup was a bit spicy so depends on what you like.
This restaurant has a fun, energetic vibe; it's not the quiet romantic date kind of place, but still good for a date if you want to have Cuban food. They also can accommodate groups.
The place is very basic, but the food was DELICIOUS!!!! The skirt steak was flavorful and tender. The fish tacos were tasty as well. The mojito was decent. Turns into a clubby atmosphere after 11.I am definitely coming back to eat!
The food was absolutely outstanding, service very good, noise was terrible.
Good food and service! Authentic as you can get in the loop.
The food was very good. Havana does not disappoint.
Wait staff was excellent. Food was piping hot and prepared fast.
The food was all very good. Started with empanadas and crab cakes. There were 4 of us and we all ordered different things then shared. Everyone liked everything. The plantain crusted halibut was the most unique.
All agreed they would go back again.
The only warning I have is the booths are a little narrow. We’re not big people and it felt a bit tight side by side
Excellent menu, great lunch specials, preparation and presentation were great
Everitime my wife and I are in Chicago, we need dinner at Havana. So
My partner and I thought that to start celebrating our anniversary week we should try a new restaurant. I’m Colombian and he thought that I’d like to have some Cuban food since is the closest we could find nearby. HE WAS RIGHT! And Havana was the best choice! We had an amazing night. The food was great, drinks were great (there was so many different drinks to try so we had several), service was phenomenal and the place is fantastic. We will definitely be back soon.
We decided to have our thanksgiving dinner here. The experience was sensational; service was attentive, the meal was exquisite as expected, and the ambiance was warm. Overall we would recommend this as a family restaurant or and night out with a date.
Second time here and I love it. The food is great. ceviche is fresh and the plates are good sized.
Visiting Chicago for the weekend. Delicious food. I would definitely come back. We got a bunch of things and shared everything
SO delicious! Food was timed out perfectly and the pitcher of margarita was so delicious and such good value. Took my parents here and it was so refreshing compared to a boring steakhouse :) Will definitely be back, we loved it!
Fast service, good food.
Great place. Amazing drinks and great food.
The flavors in the food was amazing . Recommend the Cuban pork dish Delicious
Super great food! Great price.
We were in Chicago for 3 weeks setting up for a show. Ended up eating tons of places and this was one of the best we found.
It was me and my girlfriend night out for our one year anniversary. The place is really amazing, staff was on point, and the food was incredible! I really recommend this place to have a wonderful night out and enjoy a different atmosphere! The vibe is outstanding! Lastly, the prices are very affordable!
The food is delicious. The service is a bit relaxed so expect to have to wave down the servers if you need anything. The food is amazing.
Very impressed. Service was outstanding. Dancing was great! When I made the reservation I put in special instructions that it was my friend birthday. The hostess said happy birthday to him at the door which was a nice surprise. And I didn’t even ask for a birthday dessert but they brought him one with a candle on it on the house! We will be back again!
Great food and great prices! The servers are super friendly and the drinks are delicious!!
Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner. We had 3 adults and our baby. Was sat immediately upon arrival from our reservation and the assistant staff was immediate to filling water. They didn’t keep the high chairs accessible and had us wait a few minutes for them to bring us one. Not a big deal since the establishment is not overly large as they would take up space.
Started with the Empanadas and Ceviche for appetizers. The chicken empanadas were the best in my opinion but the maza was too thick so you tasted a lot of the maza more than the meat filling. The ceviche was really standard and nothing to write home about. Not full in flavor and rather boring.
Since it was a Friday, we ordered the pitcher of the House Mojito which was nothing more than a minty sprite. Lacked flavor and wasn’t anything special as well. I’m sure since it’s the Friday special they don’t put equal parts alcohol so it was extremely weak.
For the main course, we had the Jibarito Steak Sandwich, Jalea, and Cuban Sandwich. The Cuban Sandwich is the only reason I gave at least 2 stars for food. It was good and had some flavor. The Jibarito sandwich was terrible. The steak was tough and the plantains were overcooked, dry and hard. The Jalea was from something I’ve never seen. It had terrible flavor and I’ll stay eating Jalea from Peru. This Jalea has no place on the menu.
Lastly, I’ll talk about the service. It was a big fat zero. Our server came to our table 2 times during the 1 hour visit. She took out drink order and our food order. That was the last time we saw her.
The overall experience was terrible and we will not be returning anytime soon. The manager brought me our check where we informed him of our dining experience and he promptly tried to make it amenable. I did appreciate his attempt but the damage was done.
If you’ve eaten in the Havana 90 miles south of Florida, then make the trek back cause this Havana is nothing like I’ve eaten.
Service great. Food underwhelming, not as good as other Cuban places and a bit overpriced.
Beautiful and great food. The service was amazing. The valet was slow when leaving. But overall great dining experience. Their mojitos are to die for.
Really good! Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food (Havana pulled pork, carne de tequila, baby back ribs and another roasted pork dish). Would recommend!
not really cuban taste
Took my wife for her birthday and she absolutely enjoyed it
I ordered the Chiles rellenos for lunch thinking I’d eat one and take the other home and my friend there’s the enchiladas. We ended up swapping a Chile for an enchilada and they were so delicious that we both ate every bit! Love the atmosphere, love the reasonably priced food, really nice service, too. I’ll be back!
Great food and quick service
Great food and service
